This conversation topic was extremely discourteous from both these people however very unprofessional from the employee. After about 10-15 min in line, I expressed concerns to the employee about about long wait time ( I made no comments about their inappropriate conversation). The customer decided to insert herself into the conversation. She said " this is why I don't like you people" ( I am Asian). Though I was at the store at opening at 9 am, this customer decided to try and give me the profound advice of getting to the store earlier. She stated "You should have come shopping earlier to avoid lines instead of being a B word." I don't expect a minimum wage employee to be inclined to deal with this but she could have called a manager or just offered to call for assistance. I did not feel comfortable being harassed by a repulsive, angry woman so I left. Fabric cutters were Terri Linn and Andr-a per Hobby Lobby manager. Customer service supervisor believes Terri Linn is the employee I had the most interaction with. Manager Linda states she can speak with employee but do nothing about the customer. I understand a manager only can say so much but to do NOTHING is ridiculous. If I went into Target and started harassing other customers and stating racist comments on top of calling other customers the B word, I am pretty sure someone would speak to me about it or tell me to leave if I do not calm down. Per Hobby Lobby website: "Honoring the Lord in all we do by operating the company in a manner consistent with Biblical principles. Serving our employees and their families by establishing a work environment and company policies that build character, strengthen individuals, and nurture families." Hobby Lobby on Blackstone certainly does not adhere to these values. Some of the employees really need more education on basic culture studies. It's not hard, do your job, be professional and for the customer, mind your own business. She seemed to have a lot of struggles physically and mentally so pick a struggle and work on it.

I even enjoy the baking aisle because I do get in my baking moods! I'll buy pretty sprinkles and cupcake liners and cake accessories here. Even though this place gets super busy, I always find a parking spot quickly and it's very easy to navigate the aisles, it does not feel claustrophobic or too narrow. Lots of floor staff so if any questions arise, you're taken care of. They have amazing sales as well especially in between transitioning seasons. It's a very relaxing environment with soft music playing. They have a fabric area which is pretty vast and they have a lot of items here your crafts and project needs. It's always a treat to come here. But beware, you might fill up your cart with things that you don't necessarily need so, yes will power is of the essence here!

We were perfectly happy with the service and price. It saved us a lot of time and saved my husband from spending hours doing it (what would take him hours actually took them a few minutes). It was well worth the money spent in the time and effort it saved us, and the end result was nice. We didn't have to struggle with untangling lights, or discovering that large sections were now dead, or discovering that our extension cords weren't long enough. It's just a frustration every year, and this year there was zero frustration. That right there was worth it. They did a nice job, they gave us exactly what we asked for, and the lights stayed up and perfectly lit all holiday season. No problems. They even accommodated us by showing up extra early in the season because we were hosting an early Christmas party and wanted the lights in time for that. The price was totally reasonable for the amount of aggravation and effort it saved us and we would have them back in future years, no question. Be sure to request colored lights if you want that because their default is to put up white lights: to me, Christmas isn't Christmas unless the lights are gaudy!

This is the place to go if looking! Pretty awesome! They had exactly what I wanted for my unicorn makeup too! There's also a lot of jewelry too! Just a lot to look at! Tons of Halloween decorations too! A little while later, after checking out most of it I went to check out with the make up kit I found. You're also offered, if you would like to contribute to their charity they are helping. Did that too and received a 20% off coupon to go back and buy more! Great service and Great Halloween store! The store was well laid out and the signage made it easy to find what you're looking for. The hubby and I are going to a "costume mandatory" Halloween party in a couple weeks and I thought this store was a better option to Amazon at this point. Not being into the holiday like some of my friends and family, I didn't want to sink a lot of money into costumes. I found some DIY ideas on Pinterest and headed to SH for accessories. Score! They had what I was looking for and I didn't spend much. Even if you (or the kids) don't know what you want to dress up as, it would be fun to wander around SH and see what you come up with. Checkout was quick and the girl who helped me was super nice. On the NE corner of Bullard and Palm.

The Hidden Gem of the Central Valley: A Taste of Denmark in Visalia…read moreIf you find yourself cruising down Highway 99 or heading toward the majestic Sequoias, there is a culinary "X" on the map you cannot afford to miss. Nestled in Visalia, Valhalla isn't trying to be a Michelin-starred temple of gastronomy and that's exactly why it's a masterpiece. As a food critic, I look for soul. I look for efficiency. As amateur food photographer/stylist, I look for that "honest plate." Valhalla hits the trifecta with a warm, "hygge" (Danish coziness) atmosphere that makes locals feel like family and travelers feel like they've finally found home. The Aesthetic: Rustic Hygge The vibe is "Elevated Roadside Charm." It's clean, bright, and unpretentious. The wood accents and subtle Danish motifs pay homage to the heritage of the Solvang-style roots without being kitschy. * Stylist's Note: The food here doesn't need tweezers or edible gold. It's all about the texture of a golden-brown crust and the vibrant contrast of a red lingonberry jam against a snowy dusting of powdered sugar. It looks exactly how you want comfort food to look: generous and real. The Menu: Scandinavian Roots Meet California Fresh The menu is a masterclass in "less is more." It honors Danish history while remaining approachable for the hungry traveler. Signature Dish, What Makes it Special Aebleskiver Spherical Danish pancakes, light as air, served with jam. The gold standard. Fluffy interior with a delicate crisp. The Viking Omelet Packed with savory proteins and local veggies. A powerhouse breakfast that fuels a hike through the Kings Canyon. Danish Sausage & Eggs Authentic, snappy sausages with a unique spice profile. A savory trip to Copenhagen on a single plate. Swedish/Danish Pancakes, Paper-thin, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth. Better than your grandmother's (don't tell her). Why It Works (The Restaurateur's Perspective) Valhalla succeeds because it knows its identity. In a world of over-complicated fusion menus, they stick to strong roots. * Service: It's the kind of place where the coffee stays hot and the smiles are genuine. * Accessibility: The menu is easy to read, making it perfect for a quick stop-off for travelers or a Sunday tradition for families. * Quality: You can taste the heritage. They aren't cutting corners on the fats or the flours; they are honoring the recipes passed down through generations. The Verdict: Whether you're a local regular or a wanderer looking for a rest, Valhalla is a mandatory pit stop. It is a reminder that the best meals aren't always found in big cities, but in the small towns where history is still served on a plate.

I had to satisfy my curiosity on a real Dutch breakfast... I ordered the sampler, comes with eggs, Dutch sausage, Dutch pancake and Dutch pancake balls. Pancake balls remind me of a cross between cornbread and a biscuit. The boisenberry jelly to dip them in, is Devine. It's like eating a donut hole with fruit jelly. The sausage is thick( minced pork) ... definitely thicker and has an off taste compared to regular breakfast sausage. Ordered a side of home fries, they were good but very stingy portion. Honestly felt like I could have eaten them all in one or two spoonfuls. Ordered the orange juice, boy was it fresh, thick and pulpy. Great way to top off an authentic meal. They have great meeting rooms for larger parties and a quaint gift shoppe ( filled with ornaments, cards , shirts and trinkets). Prices at this restaurant are very reasonable ! Credit/ debit card usage charges a fee.
