I researched and got estimates from about a half-dozen gutter companies and decided on LI Gutters…read moreas their price was reasonable, their service personable and friendly AND they returned calls promptly, which always surprises me with service companies. They came when they said they would, called first, did a really fast and excellent job on our repairs and installation. I had also called them way back at the start of 2014 when we first saw that we needed work but didn't actually get around to hiring someone until now, November. They honored their January estimate. My only problem (and I admit it was my fault) was the end estimate was higher than they originally quoted because we needed fascia replaced. They did tell me that would be extra, and they told me the per foot price. I forgot about that "small detail" so when they gave me the bill I was surprised at the higher amount, but then they explained it to me and I remembered they did tell me that, so it was my bad. They did do extra work and/or gave me an aluminum cover for the replaced wood fascia and did not charge me the extra amount it would have been. LOVE IT!!!! Oh, and one other thing; they originally made a mistake on the color of the gutter and so had to return a second day with the proper color but of course did not charge me extra. This was a small and understandable mistake which they promptly made good on. The workers were fast, came when they said they would, worked quietly and very cleanly. No evidence anyone had been there (we had watched them work intermittently so of course we knew they were there!) because they cleaned everything up so well. Office staff, workers and Paul (the owner?) himself were very polite and nice. What a delightful change from most companies nowadays. Highly recommend them.

The guy came and said it was not the gutter, it looked like it might be the roof ( which is relatively new and in perfect condition) and said they would send someone who is a "roof" guy. The guy who came said the roof was fine, it was the gutters, but I then got an estimate online from the company with a price of $5500 to replace my roof! Meanwhile I called another gutter company I have used, and it turns out a builder who built a house next door to me a few years ago ran a pipe underground into my drain and all the water from that property is coming onto mind and flooding me out. I have become their dry well. I will never use Long Island Gutters again.

Amazing amazing roofers!…read more Jacob got in touch with me right away when I put out a Yelp SOS after the recent Nor'Easter ripped off a piece of my roof. He had one of his guys here the next day and they climbed on the roof, showed me photos of the damage, and a couple of other things our roofer in 2010 never took care of. Jacob was fair with his pricing and promised to have someone out the following day once the rain had stopped. The next morning his crew showed up right on time and got to work. Four hours later my roof was fixed and in better condition than it was previously. All in all very easy experience and Jacob's workers are pleasant. They also left no mess! Highly recommend Jacob and his team to take care of your roofing needs (they do gutters, too!).

I can't say how their work is because it never happened. I…read moregot a written estimate and we even revised it. I gave my deposit and then was called several weeks later and said they could not do the job for that amount due to the rise in prices during COVID. The prices had already gone up when I was given the estimate, so I didn't understand why the sudden change. I think they realized that the estimate was on the low side. They will be sending me back my deposit, putting it in the mail tomorrow morning. I just don't think this is good business. And even if they came back and said they would do the job for the original estimate I still would not go with this company. All comments are welcome. Eddie the guy that gave me the estimate called me this morning and apologized for the mistake. Due to the COVID issues, which is like Eddie said is no ones fault everything has gone up tremendously. Even though I have never had work done by this company, I am giving it 5 stars for the Honesty. Another reason why I changed my star rating was because of customer service on the part of Eddie. It was very nice for him to take the time out to call me, and that did mean a lot. I'm just disappointed because at this point I have to put my work off till the spring.
