We popped by while walking through the ghetto after touring the ruins nearby. This area is a vibrant neighborhood with lots of appeal. The kosher eateries offer a large selection to choose from. We chose Shiloh as it was quieter and offered a cafeteria type service that was fast. The food was really good. It's artichoke season right now and they had 'chokes alla Romana, which were tasty and fried 'chokes. The fried one was a a delight. I've never had them this way and the crispy petals were nummy. I ate down to the heart and it was soft and delicious. I want to eat them this way from now on. I also had the rice with tomato and roast potatoes. They were really good too. Hub had fish, which he said was good. Mom had shawarma and said it was tasty too. The setting here is really lovely. It was pleasant to sit at the little tables in the street and watch everything go on around us. The lady behind the counter was friendly and enthusiastic. Overall, I really liked the place. read more
