I have no idea why but after I gave him my address to come take a look at my project he ghosted me for 3 days until today. He told me he'd set something up and after asking him whether or not he would be able to get it done this week, which I understand if he couldn't, he told me he will try to get it done. George has now become unresponsive again and now I just wasted a day when I could have gone to someone else to get my front door area situated. I understand if he was busy but to ghost potential customers like this is extremely rude.

After taking a lot of time (months even!) to search for the best price and quality windows, we found George at Glazing Windows and Doors. George was straight forward and fair. He didn't go into a lot of "song and dance" or take up an hour of our time telling us how great his company is...and make us wait for the estimate. No, instead he just asked me the general measurements of the windows and what type they were...and then...he told me the approximate cost over the phone - yes...in minutes! Then he said, if that sounded acceptable, he would come to our home and take the accurate measurements himself so he could be sure to order the perfect size. We agreed...and he came and did just that. He was quick, friendly, and professional. No gimmicks, no sky-high prices...like over $1000 for a simple window...and all the stuff you'll endure with some companies out there. (And our windows are large - around 58" x 58".) These windows have all the bells and whistles of those expensive types...(yep...argon, double pane, vinyl, easy to open, easy to lock, yada yada yada)...just NOT the exorbitant price tag. Oh...and they come with very nice screens too! It didn't take long for the windows to arrive and George gave me a call to arrange installation. He said we didn't have to worry about anything...they would move (little) things out of the way and get to work. A helper joined him and the two of them were very nice. The windows are beautiful...both from the inside and the outside! They have a lovely wide trim that goes all the way around the exterior of the window which looks fabulous from outside. The windows look so clean and neat! They even put the window blinds back up for me!!!! We've had the new windows for over 6 months now and they are problem- free and lovely. We would definitely order more windows from Glazing Windows and Doors - in fact - they are the ONLY company we would consider. We've gotten other estimates...and unlike what they'll tell you....they are not providing better windows....just charging more. After all, if they have to pay a dozen workers just to get the sale...who do you think will cover all those salaries? Most likely...it's you. So, don't fret if you need new windows. No need to waste your time with those companies who insist both homeowners be home. Glazing Windows and Doors will come and talk to either one of you...give you a fair price and put your windows in. Simple - Quality - Good Price.

We purchased all new Milgard windows from SCV Glassworks in 2009. They have a lifetime warranty,…read moreand two of the windows are crystallizing on the inside, creating a foggy appearance. I called SCV Glassworks and first spoke to Eric and then to Andrew. The first response from Andrew was that they would replace the windows only if we purchased them "within the last year or so." I reminded him of the "Lifetime Warranty," and then Andrew said we had to file our request with Milgard. I pointed out that we purchased the windows from SCV Glassworks, and they hold themselves out as a "Milgard Certified Dealer." Andrew then changed his story and said he'd file a warranty request to Milgard to have the windows replaced. Andrew requested that I photograph the window frame and send it to him since it contained all the warranty information he needed. I forwarded the photographic information, and he confirmed receiving all the information he needed. He said he would put in a warranty request for me. After three weeks, I heard nothing, so I sent a text to Andrew asking for an update on my warranty request. He responded that he'll check with the manufacturer, Milgard, to determine the status of my warranty repair. He'd let me know as soon as he hears from Milgard. Two weeks went by, and not a word from SCV Glassworks, so today I decided to call Milgard myself. I reached Milgard's warranty department, and they advised that they had no warranty request from SCV Glassworks. Alexander, in Milgard's Customer Service Department, advised that it was best for me to just file my own warrant request through his department. Alexander asked that I forward the photographic information of the two windows to be replaced. I sent the information to Alexander, and in less than an hour, he confirmed receipt of my information, confirmed the warranty, and scheduled the window replacement. The Bottom Line: Milgard windows are great, and their service department is the best I've ever experienced. Kudos to Andrew in Milgard's Customer Service Department in Simi Valley. SCV Glassworks: First, a denial of a warranty, then a claim that they filed a warranty request when they had not, and no follow-up whatsoever. Their "service" was the worst.

Liz (I hope I remembered her name correctly), was very helpful. She took the measurements over the phone and gave us a reasonable quote. The piece was ready the following day and fit perfectly. (This review includes a response to the business owner's reply)…read more I had a deeply disappointing experience with Paul's Windows, and I want to share it so that other homeowners know what to expect before working with this company. I reached out for a small bedroom window replacement and had one key requirement: that the new window, once installed, provide a minimum clear opening height of 13 inches. The sales associate, Art, confirmed via text that the manufacturer (Crystal Pacific) said it would: 13.1875", in fact. That was fine by me. But when I asked for that specification to be confirmed in the contract, in writing, Art refused. Let me be clear: I wasn't asking for a personal warranty on the product. I simply wanted confirmation that the installed window, as ordered and managed by Paul's Windows, would meet the functional requirement I had clearly communicated. Art repeatedly deflected, referring to "what the manufacturer said," but was unwilling to take responsibility for the result. When I asked for accountability, he became dismissive and eventually walked away from the job. I contacted Paul directly, hoping for a more professional response. Instead, I received a generic brush-off and a claim that the window wouldn't meet the specs, which contradicts what their own sales associate had already confirmed. Worse, Paul didn't acknowledge or engage with any of the valid concerns I raised around basic customer service, transparency, or professional responsibility. Ultimately, I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I was hiring a company to manage a job and deliver a specific result. If something went wrong, say, the manufacturer provided a window that didn't meet the spec, it would be on the contractor to resolve it, not on me to go chase down the supplier. That's what any responsible company would do. But Paul's Windows made it clear they don't see it that way. If you're okay with vague communication, contractors who won't stand behind their own work, and potentially being left to deal with problems on your own, maybe this company is fine. But if you want clarity, professionalism, and accountability in writing, then look elsewhere. § Paul's response below is a classic damage control move -- polite on the surface, but full of deflection and quiet rewriting of events. To clarify: the window in question would have met the required 13" clear opening. That wasn't in dispute. Art, their sales associate, confirmed that in writing and was fully prepared to proceed with the job -- until I asked for a simple written accountability. That's the moment everything fell apart. Paul's follow-up misrepresents the timeline and sidesteps the core issue -- not whether the window would fit, but whether the company was willing to stand behind the result they were being paid to deliver.

After signing the contract the windows were ordered and arrived in about 3 weeks. The installation team worked quickly and Art was there to see it complete. Retrofitted the windows to fit in my existing frames to avoid having to work on the wall. Added the grids to match the style of the old windows since I have a condo and HOA would probably have an issue if not everyone's windows matched since it's a shared building.
