Businesses like Shibui remind me of why I love
to shop local, and I'm encouraging you to support this wonderful business.
Upon discovering that we lived not far from a loose leaf tea producer, we decided to order a selection to try. First impressions count and Shibui really impressed us from the get go.
You can order online and collect the order to save on delivery if you live locally. The order is packed in a lovely little Shibui brown bag. This can be re-used as a gift bag or recycled, which I like. There was a little thank you card inside which was hand-signed to my partner to thank him for the order. There were also two different sample pyramid tea bags included which we enjoyed. What a nice introduction to the brand, and every order has been a similar experience. We now order every time we're in need of some new teas and order a mix of caffeinated and herbal blends.
The price is very reasonable and the quality is high. The blends speaks for themself and are full of flavour. They are interesting to look at too. The turmeric and cocoa has turmeric slices, ginger pieces, cocoa peel and vanilla pieces and then some. This is not your average tea and it doesn't look or taste like it. Boring tea bags, be gone! - Tea is often methodical and we can get stuck in a routine. Shibui makes tea exciting and we're always excited to collect our order, especially if we've added a little something new to try.
They have something for everyone and teas for any occasion. - If I'm need of an afternoon boost, I'll brew a tippy Assam (my favourite!) and if I want to unwind in the evening then their turmeric and cocoa or Ayurvedic wellness offer just what I need. They also do tea bags in most blends if you prefer that option.
FYI. This just a unit to collect from. There isn't the option to shop or have a tea here. You just press the buzzer and collect your order. I've also spotted their tea in One Dalkeith so they may be available in other shops.
Now, I think it's time for a cup of turmeric and cocoa! read more
