Wanting some sweet treats, up and coming artists with a youthful local urban vibe this is the place. Tempo Tea Bar provides a modern twist to the ever growing and delicious bubble tea scene. They boast fruity and colorful flavors galore topped with tons of sweetness. Also hint hint you can combine any and as many flavors you want. The limit is just the number of pumps of delicious syrup that will fit in your glass. So, are you also looking for a new artist or some local artistic flavor? Tempo Tea Bar hosts art and music from local up and coming artists. So you'll be ahead of the crowd ;) Also they have slushy versions of their drinks. Yum! Perfect for a hot day or whenever you're feeling for something icy. But if you want hot, not a problem either. Or maybe you're not into sweet not a problem just let them know. Maybe you just want the pearls or jelly, not a problem only about £5 for a cup full.

I've been a Tempo Tea Bar lover since day 1 and I am so excited to see them to expand into Edinburgh! I feel like Tempo are the leaders of the pack in the bubble tea scene and they always get the fun, frivolous, fabulous vibe just right in their Glasgow stores - but how would Edinburgh compare? Well, as soon as I walked in I got a super cheery, warm welcome. The space is cool - in an arch and there's the right signage you expect from Tempo. I got my usual apple bubble tea with some strawberry jelly and was really chuffed with it. Delicious. Friendly staff, delicious drinks and something to brighten up my afternoon - perfection! Notes: Well worth taking a detour from Waverley station to swing by for a bubble tea as it's only about 5 minutes away.

After an awful first experience of Bubble tempo tea bar have completely won me over. I loved the fruity combinations and the easier but stable Boba. The place has an amazing atmosphere by being designed beautifully but also featuring some local artists. Supporting the local artists is an excellent example for the heart that's behind the owners and workers of tempo tea bar. Totally loved it!

I love me some bubble tea ! If you have never had bubble tea before, make sure you do! This is a great starting point, they break the menu up so its easy to know what to order: choose a flavour ( fruit flavour pumps -well theres a lot of choices so maybe not that easy) , chose a tea base ( black, green, white, red), choose a fruit tea to mix, and then chose a "topping" ( which is a strange they call it that because it's really a "bottom" add ) , You can do half popping bubbles, half jellies, or just one if you want. I also really love the traditional boba, but if your new to bubble tea then I'd recommend starting with the popping bubbles. Endless mixes and matched! You can get the drink cold, hot or slushed ( blended ice). If its all still too much they staff have made some mixed choices up, ask them they are super friendly! Tempo Tea Bar started in Glasgow and we are so luckily that they have opened one in Edinburgh now! A hip spin on the traditional bubble tea, Tempo does lots of fruity mixes and has a large choice of popping juice bubbles. I love this location as its super close to the train station and in the cool old arches. p.s. They also support local musical artists! Which I think is cool

Okay if you google best dessert places in Edinburgh, you will read about Coro Chocolate. First,…read morethey're open later than most places, not by much but enough that it counts. Second, their team (whose names now I have forgotten which is a shame) are extremely helpful and patient. They know their stuff. I was seated quickly and was given the menu and my eyes...my eyes were bigger than my stomach which is the other shame. My favorite was the Millionaire Shortbread Crepe. I mean come on. That thing was decadent, rich and just enough. That was probably the only dessert I was able to complete. Next, was similar to what we Americans call a pazookie. Nutella everywhere. I should've known that this would be the richest, creamiest and thickest of all. I probably should've ordered water but instead I craved a hot chocolate. I also ordered a hot chocolate which was dark chocolate I believe. Perfect for the cold weather. Unfortunately was stuffed by the time this came out. 10/10 recommend. Service is spectacular, team is friendly and genuinely enjoys being there and desserts, I mean cmon you can tell by the photos. Worth the hype. Worth the money and overall just a good place to hangout after exploring the city.

They have pancakes, waffles, bubble waffles, and crepes and you can create your own (each topping is extra) . They also have brownies, cake, or cookie dough bites and hot chocolate. We ordered the Nutella hot chocolate and the brownie with ice cream (extra). FYI they put marshmallow UNDER the whipped cream and one on top with the hot cocoa. I liked the cocoa, disliked the brownie. The brownie tasted more like a chocolate cake to my daughter and I. My daughter disliked the cocoa but liked the brownie. I also feel like for the price of the ice cream, it can be a bigger scoop. I was so excited to try this spot but overall, I feel it could've been skipped on our trip

All hat, no cattle…read more My fiancé and I visited Duck & Waffle in Edinburgh and unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the price tag or the hype. When you first walk in, the design hits you immediately the bright red is visually overwhelming, but it did give me hope that the food would be bold and creative. We booked the chef's table, expecting to see some action in the kitchen, maybe interaction or samples, as you'd typically get in this kind of seating. Instead, absolutely nothing was happening. No prep, no cooking, no interaction so I would not recommend the chef's table at all. For food, I ordered the festive turkey entrée, and my fiancé got the signature duck and waffle. We also shared the prawns in butter sauce. The butter sauce itself was flavorful, but very soupy, and the prawns tasted like they had been cooked straight from frozen. One wasn't even deveined, which I had to do myself. The dish felt unfinished some toast or even a bit of pasta would have helped, but overall it was a miss. Dessert was the biggest disappointment of the night. We asked our server whether to choose the cinnamon ice cream apple dessert or the Elvis (peanut butter, jelly, caramelized bananas, waffle), and he confidently recommended the Elvis. This ended up being one of the worst desserts I've ever had. The bananas tasted underripe, the Chantilly had an odd aftertaste, and the berries didn't make sense with the rest of the dish. The flavors clashed in a way that made the whole thing borderline inedible. I genuinely don't know how this made it past a test kitchen. The bill came to about $225, and with the slow service and underwhelming food, it just didn't feel worth it. The wine list was nice, but that's hard to mess up. Overall, the restaurant felt like a lot of flash without the follow-through. Edinburgh has beautiful produce and ingredients, but so far many places including this one seem to struggle with seasoning and flavor. I wish this had been a better experience, but I wouldn't return and wouldn't recommend it at these prices. There are plenty of simpler, more affordable spots serving better-tasting food.

The food was absolutely delicious! My porridge was so hearty and yummy, I wanted to lick the bowl. My spouse's eggs benedict dish was also fantastic, and you can tell they use very fresh, high quality ingredients. The way they serve the meals in little stainless steel lunch boxes is adorable. My chai tea latte with oat milk was fantastically spicy and not too sweet. The server was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and always nearby, so it was easy to ask for our check when we were ready. And the inside of the restaurant had a warm, cozy feel. I would gladly eat every breakfast here the next time we're in Edinburgh!

When it came to ordering, I got an Iced Latte and a Buttery Bap. The menu is a bit difficult to decipher, as it was confusing how much or how little can be added to it and at what cost. The menu said I could only pick one filling, but when I asked I was informed that I could pick an unlimited amount. I'm glad I trusted my instinct and went with just two: Veggie Haggis and Tattie Scones. Both of these were truly delicious. However, there was an extra charge for the second filling. Prices for additions are listed at the bottom of the menu as if they were sides you could order separately. On the receipt, I also saw that I was charged 0.50 extra for ice. I don't understand why places charge extra to make an iced drink when overall you're actually getting less of the drink. Overall, everything tasted good and I'm glad I was able to try numerous Scottish classics.

The location, tucked away on a side street away from the hustle and bustle of Prince's Street, means that you won't be fighting with people for a table, as although it can get busy around lunch, you likely wouldn't find it unless you knew what you were looking for. The staff is extremely helpful and nice and helped make the whole experiance very pleasant. I will note that the prices are a bit high, although that's expected when all vegan ingredients are used. Their signature brunch item, pink-hued waffles, make for a lightly crispy meal with a delicate spongy interior, and comes with a generous helping of fruit on the side. The espresso is good, with a impressive custom coffee machine and a wide selection of milk alternatives - although the chai latte was a bit weak in spice and flavor and could've been more thoroughly mixed. Another interesting item they do is an all-vegan version of the Scottish Breakfast. As that is traditionally an almost all meat meal, this a quite impressive feat, although I've never been a huge fan of imitation meats. If you're looking for a healthful brunch/lunch meal, especially if you are vegan or vegetarian, I recommend Naked Bakery! They also produce a selection of cakes and pastries which customers were coming in for throughout our meal.
