Oh Shevi, how I love thee! In my wildest dreams, I would have never thought I could have ever found you. But somehow, some way, the cosmic forces aligned and now, I couldn't imagine having had my event without you. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a large-scale production, Batsheva Bollinger is THE conductor to orchestrate your symphony. You're already putting some big bucks and priceless emotional energy into your event, so deciding to hire a planner at just a small fraction of your budget is the best investment for success and peace of mind.
Shevi's name was one of many given from business referrals when we were looking for an event planner for my daughter's Bat Mitzvah reception (Oct 2017, 100+ guests). Going in, I didn't know any of her clients or anything about her really, but after exchanging emails, a phone interview, and an in-person meet, she seemed to be the right lady for the job. While Shevi can handle all levels of needs for event planning, I was looking for someone for closer-in and day-of help (since I had already selected vendors). It really only took a handful of meetings (a couple on site, a few at home) and some emails, but the event that came out of this was truly "magical," and one my family will cherish forever.
In the end, if I had to do the event all over again, Shevi was the only vendor that was truly irreplaceable. Her creative eye and classy, keen sense of style was evident from the outset. She was able to elevate the event far beyond what I even imagined possible.
This is what I learned from our experience together:
- A good event planner listens to your needs, your wants, your goals, and helps you to fulfill them. She will assess how she fits into your picture of your dream event, and do so accordingly. If you want her to take over, she will. If you don't, she's ready for action whenever you need her.
- A good event planner evaluates your personal work load for your event and to-do list and keeps you on track, offering suggestions to save time and to help whenever possible.
- A good event planner is time, priority, and budget-conscious--with meetings, being flexible with her schedule, and is responsive to your questions and requests.
- A good event planner keeps focused on the big picture and her eyes on the prize. She also draws from her proven experience, and pulls all the ideas and components together, so the scene is set for the story you want to tell on your big day.
Shevi was all of these things and so much more. An excellent event planner will see you at your worst (knee deep in a bottomless pit of party décor and a gazillion unfinished projects) and always give you her best. An excellent event planner will help you achieve that successful event and surpass your expectations. And an excellent event planner you are always happy to see, no matter what kind of week you are having, and to welcome into your home. Thank you Shevi. You are amazing!
