He was explaining something about how BM categorizes their paint collections. I was learning something new, but there was something that was bothering me about the guy. After a couple of minutes, I realized he wasn't masked. NONE of the people working in the store were masked. Not sure why they think the mask mandate in MoCo doesn't apply to them, but if they don't care enough about their customers or each other to put a mask on their faces when they're in contact with the public, I can easily say that's not a company I want to do business with. By no means am I an expert in paints. I've done my due diligence and asked many contractors on…read moretheir opinions on the best brands of paint and 2 brands consistently came up. The first is Sherwin-Williams and the second is Benjamin Moore. While I entertained Home Depot and Lowe's as sources to get home renovation material, I absolutely decided against going that direction after I found out that many products they sell are "builder-grade quality". While that may sound like a fancy term, it is not. Home Depot and Lowe's gets lower quality products in many different categories (e.g., wooden floors, tiles, etc.). I've gotten a very good lesson from a trusted contractor who carefully explained and showed me the differences between the quality of such products sold at Home Depot and Lowe's so I was dead-set on going to Sherwin-Williams to purchase the best paint I could buy. I've been extremely impressed with Sherwin Williams corporate and the staff in store (Clayton and his manager). As you may guess, a wall full of 300+ paint color options makes it extremely difficult for a consumer to choose the right paint in 1 visit. Clayton and his manager guided us through with options and recommendations, which include showing us their mobile app to see the paint color in full decorated settings on the Sherwin Williams website. Clayton guided us through several options (and with a lot of patience) and in the end I was not able to decide what color I wanted. Surprisingly enough, you don't have to commit to a color during your purchase of the paint. You buy a base white paint which then gets tinted. Thanks to Clayton, I was able to take advantage of their 30% sale (last day of the year and it's biannual). I'm really thankful to him for this recommendation. Overall, I've been extremely satisfied at the level of knowledge and customer service at Sherwin Williams. I highly recommend going directly to this store instead of Home Depot/Lowe's. The amount of knowledge (especially if you are experienced) and attention you get is totally worth the visit.

During all of my visits, I was able to find what I was looking for or something very similar to the items that I needed. In general, I think the prices are pretty similar or a bit lower compared to those in other places. Unfortunately, parking is a bit of a mess, primarily because two of the three entrances for vehicles are located right next to two VERY busy intersections. For one entrance/exit, it's virtually impossible to make a left turn leaving the shopping center, and you can make only right turns for another exit. However, I will not necessarily fault Strosniders for this because these horrible parking situations seem to be pretty standard in this area. It's as if developers throw a million and three stores in a shopping complex without any regard to the parking situation or traffic patterns. Also (as of Jan 2026), the store is dog-friendly.

Janna also walked me through some detailing of a vintage piece that has been in my family since forever and distressing of a picture frame -- as in, countless messages back-and-forth until I felt completely comfortable. But I was in need of a few items that I knew I wouldn't easily find elsewhere. Being at the mall, this is just a stone's throw away. I will say, this give the impression from the outside that it is not a big store inside. Deceiving. When I got inside, it is just as big as any other HD, just set up so awkwardly that you have no idea where anything is. What I can tell you is that when you are in here, pull up the app. It will make locating what you want faster and less stressful on you. I knew what I needed, just not where to go. With the app I was able to type in the item and it took me not only to the aisle, but the bay in the aisle where the item was. With my items in hand I go up front to the self serve registers and wait my turn. I walk up, scan my items, and then the machine says I need assistance. It ran out of receipt paper. That fixed, receipt in hand, I on my way home.

They offer free repotting and you can get your plant's soil topped with different types of rocks for a small fee. You even get a customized care card to take home to help you remember how to care for your new plant. The store itself is lush and full of a good variety of houseplants. Everything seems very well taken care of and the prices are pretty reasonable too.
