I'm working on a patio project and instead of wandering around a gigantic store in Ontario, I stopped at Kell's. I walked in and was immediately greeted. I explained what I'm doing and they personally walked me around the store, helped me gather up the exact right components, paint and proper fittings, cut the PVC at no charge, rung me up and had me out the door in less time than it would've taken me to drive to Ontario. Three people helped me while I was there -- THREE -- while simultaneously assisting other customers. It made me realize how much I miss dealing with real people who are knowledgeable and actually want to help. It just. Doesn't. Happen. But it happened at Kell's today. And it happens every time I've ever been there. Very thankful to have them right here in Lexington.

The best thing about these mom and pop places is that the clerks all have an intimate knowledge of how their various products work , and how to best apply them to fit your individual needs . You may find things a bit cheaper in the hardware section of some big box store , but you are also on your own as how to use the item that you've bought ! For a real eye opener ..... take the time to visit your local mom and pop hardware store one Saturday afternoon ......I call the experience "hardware university" where you can learn the proper way to do things from an old pro , who knows his products And how to use them. I got 2 gallons of serious oil based paint in Space Shuttle Grey oh and by the way it's the same paint they use on the space shuttle. For $13 a gallon. That's right. IF you could get it anywhere else which you can't it would be $80 a gallon. Then I got 5 gallons of stain for $10 each. Forget the Memorial Day paint "sales" at Home Depot. You would be paying 3 times as much for an inferior quality paint. And the accessories?? Rollers for 75 cents. 4 inch brushes for $3.99. And lavender scented rubber gloves for $1. So, particularly if you buy an "oil based paint" and you don't use the full gallon on your project and want to have your remaining paint shaken for a good "homogenous mix", SORRY, they will only be giving you a paint stir stick. Store Manager advised that, "yes", even though their paint shaker does have "clips that are suppose to hold the paint lid in place during shaking, their model has "spring loaded clips" that just don't seem to be able to do the job. Maybe they need to look into buying another type of paint shaker that will shake even a 1/3 of a gallon of paint without concern for paint leakage as a customer service. Sherwin Williams is my preferred paint store and are always accommodating on paint shaking but did not carry this particular paint so I was forced to buy this paint from Ace Hardware. Wanted you to know before you buy that your purchase will be a "one and done".

I stopped in here and picked up some primer as well as two gallons of BM Aura paint. The lady that assisted me was quite friendly and helpful in finding the paint I needed. The prices are a bit higher than what you'll find at the big box stores, but I think this is due more to the BM paint as opposed to the store's pricing. I was very satisfied with my transactions as well as the end result and would definitely go back when/if I need more paint.

My client purchased Norwalk sectional. Within 3 weeks of delivery which was in November 2022 they…read morenoticed a hole in each arm of the sectional in the exact same area. You can feel the rough wood underneath the fabric where the holes are. There is no padding underneath the fabric in the area of the holes so the fabric rubs against the bare wood. I filed a complaint with the customer service center. A couple of weeks later the fabric began pulling on the bottom side corner of the sectional creating ripples in the fabric. I filed another complaint. It wasn't until Jan. 11, 2023, when I talked to Mr. Souter on the phone about both issues that I received an initial response to my second claim 9085 and a second response to my first claim 8996. After our conversation Mr. Souter responded with an email that he spoke to the VP of Manufacturing and he indicated that it is not a manufacturing issue and that they will offer me fabric at a discounted rate to have my own upholster fix the issue. Mr. Souter made the absurd remark that maybe the client turned it upside down and drug it across the floor. They won't even entertain the notion that they are not at fault for this poor workmanship.
