They greet you at the door and help you get what you need cheerfully, even if it is only a fifty cent item rather than going to the big box stores that force you to buy an entire pack of nuts and bolts. Their inventory of small but essential parts for the home and shop is impressive and there are rarely any empty bins. I have been using this store since 1975. Home Depot forced them to drop their lumber and building supply plus many other items but they were still able to hang on by selling the small hard to find things when you only need one or two parts. I never get tired looking for help in this store and I usually always get what I need. After politely waiting almost an hour. I was told to come back later. He didn't have time for me. I left. My wife called the store to explain we needed the paint and asked when it would be ready? We were told he was working on it and I could get it later. My wife Went back today 3days later....again met with complete rudeness by Frank. Let him know it was not nice to keep bumping my husband to take care of contractors. I was informed the morning is for contractors!!! I asked if the store said that with morning hours for contractors only? Let him know we were trying to be supportive to local businesses and didn't appreciate being treated like we were garbage. We spent $200 dollars on 3 gallons and a quart. When I went to leave, I noticed the gallon was in the wrong finish. I asked frank and he said that's what I showed him. I explained that's impossible as the only paint label I have is the one I showed him. So I showed him again. He replied" man I'm not arguing with you but that's not what you showed me". He's 100% wrong, rude and disrespectful and I'm disgusted. My husband was patient and kind. And was bypassed for and hour then rudely spoken to them not taken care of. One plus is that it's a fully stocked, very nicely maintained store. But, $7 for a paint sample... I am normally happy to pay more to shop locally and support the community, but, I'm done with this place. Jeff was working behind the counter and went out of his way to help me find the right saw - showing me everything from 'entry level' to high end commercial machines and describing the pros and cons of each one. There was no pressure to buy any particular saw, and in fact, no pressure to buy at all. I left for a few hours, checked out what was available on Amazon and at the local Home Depot, and a few hours later went back and bought my new saw at West Street. As I was settling up, I could hear my new saw being tested out back, and few minutes later Collin came up with my assembled and adjusted saw.
