Then I reviewed my list of Christmas gifts to buy. Then I googled "cheap flooring." Lumber Liquidators popped right up. I bundled up my right hand toddler assistant and drove down to Burnsville. I picked out a click floor with the liner already attached. The sales guy was ultra helpful and kind. They didn't have my flooring in stock, but he found it at another store and off I went. I'm not saying installing the floor was a complete breeze, but it's do able for a homeowner with no experience, plus one father in law with some experience. My floor was around $350 for a 300 square foot room. Even though I hope to eventually put in a hardwood floor, this will do for now. It's pretty, easy to clean and we still got to have Christmas. ;)

My wife and I visited LL Flooring in Burnsville, MN. We had a very positive experience while visiting the store. We decided to proceed with a flooring project for our basement. We engage LL Flooring to install the flooring as they're the "experts". The "experts" arrived to install the flooring and by noon had walked off the job stating that the flooring was defective. Not only was it not defective, but they also started by installing the flooring in the middle of the room. I couldn't get another installation crew out for several days. It was also my responsibility to submit a service ticket, take picture of the defective flooring, and then work with LL Flooring customer support. I did this and didn't hear back till the following week and when I finally spoke with the customer service representative, she said that they don't have an SLA and that it's totally acceptable to respond back in that time frame. I cancelled the installation, installed it myself (with no issues and I'm not an expert installer by any means) and for the entire inconvenience of this project I was offered $150 credit. There's a lot more I could elaborate on regarding the poor customer service and experience my wife and I had but I hope that anyone who reads this reconsiders utilizing LL Flooring for installation. They're subcontractors, not LL Flooring employees, who care very little about your experience. This is from their website. I mentioned this to the customer relationship manager who I worked with. She said that they don't need to do anything and that she can send me a copy of the contract. Does this sound like it matches what they have on their website for their company values? They came today, on time, knew what was wrong with my dryer within about ten seconds of listening to it run, and had it repaired within 35 minutes. Reasonable prices, fast service, pleasant experience. I've got their refrigerator magnet hung up in case I need help in the future. : )

A few months ago I decided to try home water delivery because I wanted my family to start drinking more water and thought the kids would be more inclined to drink it if we had a dispenser and bottles delivered regularly. I went with Culligan because well to be honest, it was the most familiar name to me so I felt comfortable trying them out. I'm glad I did! Not only are we drinking a lot more water but they made the process of starting service so easy. It took a while to figure out our usage so they were really good about getting us water when we ran out before our scheduled delivery day. The ladies who answer the phone are always so nice whenever I've had to call and made sure I recieved the extra water quickly. My neighbor noticed I was getting water delivery and asked me how I liked their service because they were getting there's from a different company and weren't happy with it. I told them I loved it and absolutely recommended them to try them. They did and said its like night and day in comparison to what they had before. I obviously don't have experience with other water companies but going off my neighbors word, I doubt another company could top the service I've gotten so far.

When the install guy arrived, he left an unbelievable mess in our basement - wood scraps from drilling through the floor and puddles of water everywhere. When I asked about it I was told "it's an unfinished basement so we don't typically worry about it". Not great, but whatever. Fast forward to this September, we were tired of the $55/month water bill so we opted to cancel. When the gentleman arrived (he was kind and professional) he removed the equipment (some random tubing was left behind) but left another watery mess and couldn't get the water running back to our fridge. And left. So now I have another problem, that I didn't have before I ever got this water system installed. It was 0/10 worth it, it's expensive, it was messy and now I have to pay yet another fee to get someone out here to get my fridge water working again.
