Super friendly staff, clean store, easy to get to, and as always, quality paint. Working on fixing some areas of my 1970s townhouse and was pulling my hair out so to speak working on a few projects in particular. Zoltan at this location to the rescue. Not only was his patience with me exceptional, but his knowledge of the paints and other products was superb! I'm happily all finished with a few of my main projects now, but will be back for my future paints and stains. Ps, any customer not familiar with Sherwin Williams better figure out real quick that there are contractors in and out non stop and you're not going to be waited on hand and foot. Learn some patience. I couldn't believe the number of rude comments I read on other review sites about how long people had to wait to be helped. It's not Chick Fil A, deal with it.

I went to Reckless on a mission. I'd tested many colors on the walls of my office, found the…read moreperfect shade of gray and was subsequently disappointed by the paint quality. The sample was thin, clumpy and just of poor quality. Being an inexperienced painter in the digital age, I turned to online reviews for recommendations for high quality paint. Enter Reckless Paint, one of the only Benjamin Moore paint suppliers in the Durham/Chapel Hill area. If you're looking for an old-school, friendly paint shop, this is the place to go. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The owner helped me decide which type of paint I needed, matched the color perfectly to the sample I'd loved and made sure that I purchased the right amount of paint. They did mistakenly make an eggshell instead of a matte finish. I wasn't picky and could have been easily convinced that eggshell was a better option. They didn't push a 'well, eggshell is superior' sale on me. Instead, they profusely apologized and gave me a 50% discount! That's customer service. I hadn't expected anything like that (and to be honest, was completely fine with the eggshell after they showed me the eggshell paint on their walls and gave me instructions on how I should use the paint). They carried multiple types of paint (I bought and loved the low VOC Devine paint...no priming and I only needed 1 coat to cover brown walls). I also saw paint supplies- rollers, brushes, drop cloths, etc and stains for wood. When the urge to change the colors of my walls strikes again, I'll definitely return to Reckless. I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for quality paint and service.

I had a list of paint colors I'd wanted to check out, and he half-heartedly went and got two of them for me before going back to his phone.
