Always good service and good products. I like to patronize local stores as much as I can so I am glad they are close by. I am especially a fan of the Ace Rewards program that gives periodic sales and discounts to members so I try to buy then to save a bit. Recommend you check Ace out.

I went to this store and I left with specific swatches that the salesman picked out for me. I had brought samples of backsplash and counter and with his help I have now finally made a decision. He really knows his paints and how they reflect color. I learned a thing or two of which I'm very appreciative.

I made a mistake telling the cashier about this because she made me wait while she went to management and begged for him to increase the price, several times! I am reviewing the Hectors on French because that's the one I go to most often but this review…read moreapplies to all the Hector's I have been in which are most in the area. Hector's has been my "go to" store for everything I need to fix something for 25 years if I am serious about getting what I need quickly and as efficiently as possible. They pack an enormous amount of useful items in comparatively smaller stores than Home Depot, Lowes or even Valu but you don't feel you are in "cluttered" stores. Everything is kept organized so you can find things quickly. They hire people that know exactly what you need and if they don't they are not afraid to ask the senior staffer. I have never left a store without either the exact item or items I need to complete the task or the knowledge to go exactly where I need to for whatever I am searching for that day. I do still visit the big chains for sale items on occasion but I feel when I go into those stores there is sensory overload with all the items and sheer size of the that I many times forget what I went there for in the first place!! The other thing that drives me to madness is the inability to find somebody to ask a question in the area I am looking. Sure I can find somebody for a question I have about some electrical project but I usually have to walk to the other side of the store before I find somebody and then that guy has to put a call out on the radio to the people who can handle electrical and maybe just maybe I will get an associate in the electrical area in 10-20 minutes. Go to Hectors for anything you need and I am sure you will walk out a happy camper in a fraction of the time it would of taken you with other places.

At Home has decorative items for your home (indoors, outdoors, and gardens), as well as storage and…read moresome functional items (such as kitchen items). The store is massive, probably bigger than the parking lot actually. There's a lot of everything. Need a mirror or a clock? There's several aisles of them. Need couch pillows? They're organized by color and there's several aisles of those too. We came for table lamps, and even those are organized by color. Heads up that most of the lamps are sold as "mix and match", meaning the lamp and the shade are sold separately. But I like the flexibility this offers. There's lots of shades to choose from, again organized by color. The prices for the items we looked at seemed fair. The store was very clean and well organized, making shopping a breeze. I highly recommend coming in if you're looking to decorate your home, patio, or garden.

I had a 15% off bday coupon. I cashed out & waited in the store, never leaving-waiting for my…read morehusband who last min decided he wanted to buy 2 chairs ($180). We went back to the same cashier that cashed me out the 1st time & she would NOT honor the 15% off since she already scanned it- even though I never left the front of the store & my husband was clearly with me. I understand the code may not have worked a 2nd time but she could have made an exception bc the 15% wouldve worked if I had put all items in the same transaction. My husband then asked her if theres a military discount to which she wasnt not thrilled about so I said YES, Its 10% off bc we have used it at that location before. He went show his military ID but of course he accidentally left it in his cammies. (His fault-he shouldve had it with him) however the cashier still shouldve applied the 10% to honor the veteran discount anyways. He has photos of his id & clear proof of his service. Wasnt good enough. So I said actually we wont be purchasing this then- my husband was kind enough to take back both heavy chair boxes to the section so that the cashier didnt have to carry them. We were completely unsatisfied with our interaction. Its not about the $20 we wouldve saved it was about the cashier's unfriendlyness & clear annoyance to be bothered by us late at night toward close. She should've made it right even if it meant calling a manager. Ive worked retail for years- id never question if someone was a vet or deny them their 10% if they forgot their card out of respect. People don't l typically lie about being a US service member over a few bucks. And really, the 15% shouldve been honored considering I never left the store and the transaction couldve been 1... I didnt realize he wanted to buy more items especially close to $200. I filled out the survey on the bottom of the receipt and it only allows me to type 1200 characters so I couldnt even tell the whole story. So thats why im leaving this review on yelp.

I'm renovating my kitchen and powder room on the first floor of my house. I was looking for a…read moresmallish bathroom vanity and was not interested in something from a box store like Target or Home Depot. The guys down the road at the tile place told me to check out this place. I didn't even know they were here! The space is small, but there's a lot packed inside. And everything in their is made to order, so you get exactly what you want. The guy who was working that day, I think he was the owner, was really helpful. He explained the catalog to me and showed me how you can pretty much customize your piece by choosing the size, the type of wood and finish, the hardware, etc. He explained the pricing differences and really made me feel like he knew what he was talking about. I did not buy from him in the end, and that's only because I needed the vanity sooner than he could get it to me. You don't think they build this stuff in a day, do ya? Right. So, I couldn't wait the amount of time I was going to have to wait in order to get my finished piece, so I ended up getting something somewhere else, but if I'm ever looking again, I will definitely stop in and see him when I've got the time to wait for the perfect piece.

Return the unit to the store and I was charged a 20% restocking fee which amounted to $50. I was going to purchase the larger one as soon as the return was complete, but I told him what they could do with their plasma cutter then told them they lost a customer and I walked out. I canceled the inside track membership a couple years ago because that just was a waste of money and now I'm canceling harbor freight. Update - Writing this review reignited my anger, so I tried one more time by spending 34 minutes (22 of it on hold). All I received from that waste of time was that they will send a letter to the district manager?? Now I'm pissed so I go to the store and politely demanded my money back. I got my money back and a lame excuse. In all 1hr 15 minutes round trip. All this time for 50 bucks, I guess it's the principal of it.
