The very worst part of the entire ordeal was months after paying and finally receiving a call for delivery, the manager told me i had to pay $150 for a piece of plywood that needed to come with the bed. I was reluctant. Seemed like a scam. After listening to him tell me for 10 minutes how he would lose money on the sale I finally just wanted him to be quiet and wished for no further delay. Completely unprofessional. Its too bad. I really wanted to line this place but that is unheard of. Will go elsewhere for high end furniture next time. The people who work here have a very creepy vibe.

Katerina very quickly stepped in, explained the types of paints that would best serve our needs, and colour matched the wall paint perfectly with our swatch. This was our second stop after the hardware store, and we wanted to compare other paint stores, so she advised us that her sale goes another week, and that this company can mix Benjamin Moore colours as well (the competition!!) So we took a jaunt over to the competition. More expensive, less customer service, but they had the colour we wanted! So, took the colour swatch to mull it over, over brunch to decide. And we chose to go back here! Now to apply the paint and see if it lives up to expectations.

I thought they just sold seeds and gardening supplies. However, my sister-in-law who knows I'm crazy about plants right now found a video on YouTube showing this store's newly renovated plants section. So I had to check it out. They have a lot of stuff. They have books about plants and even cute crocheted/knitted plants too. I came with 2 goals in mind. The first was to find a small terra cotta plant pot saucer (about 2" in diameter) and the second was to look at their indoor plants. I found the saucer, but it was $2.29 for one. I can get them at Dollarama for $1.50 for 3 but they are a bit bigger, like 2.5 inches. So I'm going to hold out for now. I might just end up getting the bigger ones to save some money. I enjoyed looking at their plants. They had Lithops, my favourite plant, but only green ones and reddish/orangey ones, which I already have. I'm looking for purple ones or colours I don't have already. They also had Fenestraria Rhopalophylla (Baby Toes) for only $9.99, cheaper than at most other places, but they weren't in good condition, so I passed. They had lots of string of pearls which were in excellent shape though. I found it odd that some plants were thriving while others were in rough shape. Anyway, I had fun poking around the store. I'm going to return with my husband to check out their organic vegetable seeds. He's in charge of our backyard vegetable garden ;) Lots of free parking available in their private parking lot. I wish they had longer hours but I get it. I love that they are making native plants a huge priority, and have made not selling invasive species a thing! More nurseries could learn from them! They always have unique gifts as well and great pricing on bird seed and peanuts for local wildlife.
