I was looking for an asian make up artist who can do asian style make up as American make up artists really cake on your make up. I did not want that and was worried I would not find someone like that. My friend forwarded Angelina's yelp page to me and as I looked at the photos uploaded, I was pleasantly surprised. I quickly reached out to her and her response to me was within a reasonable time. Months prior to my wedding, whenever I had questions and asked her, she was able to answer me. Comes a day before the wedding and she gave me a quick reminder of my appointment. Very kind of her. Gave her the address to my hotel and my room number, and the next morning, she arrived on time. I was still getting ready with my mom and she was able to wait a bit for us to get settled in and set up her stuff. It was my first time seeing her and her first time working with my hair and face. Due to budget restrictions, I was not able to do a trial run with her. She asked me what make up and hair style I liked and she was able to execute what I wanted within 2 hrs of time. She also did my mom's make up and finished everything on time. She was super duper kind to both me and my mom. Made good conversation with us while doing our make up and my hair. When I was done, she showed me how I looked and I was so shocked to how beautiful I looked. My parents, brother, and guests all said I looked very natural and beautiful. My husband who saw me during the first look could not look away and also said I looked beautiful. He was so satisfied with it! Angelina is reasonably priced, quick, and does an amazing job. Overall, a good experience and would recommend to everyone needing make up and hair done. Would book her again for a special event. I called for a second appointment and left numerous voice messages (at least 7 times) and go ZERO response. I was visiting from LA and called well in advance to get an appointment booked yet couldn't get a call back to save my life. Highly unprofessional- usually as a business OWNER, you'd think she has enough etiquette to AT LEAST follow up and call back whether she has time for the appointment OR NOT. Rude. Simply put, it's RUDE to not respond at all especially when a potential client is clearly attempting to book an appointment. Extremely dissatisfied with the lack of professionalism . Tip to the "Busy Bee": CALL PROSPECTIVE CLIENTS WHEN THEY LEAVE MESSAGES. Needless to say, that visit was the first AND LAST time I'll be sitting in her (Kristene's) chair. Teresa was polite, professional, answered all of our questions and gave her honest opinion regarding our needs, even if it meant we had to purchase a less expensive service. Not only did she listen intently, she gave me honest feedback and was able to reassure me in that planning process. Her personality is so bubbly and calming and you can tell that she is a genuinely happy person who loves making people feel beautiful. I ended up texting her ONE day before that my flower girls had changed their mind and now really wanted their hair done. No problem for Lea- not only did she accommodate this request last minute, but she handled their individual requests with such care that they and their mamma were all thrilled with the results. On my wedding day it rained off and on the ENTIRE day, and during the ceremony it literally started dumping and took me a couple minutes to secure an umbrella. Despite the weather, and my being outside for probably a total of 6 hours that day, my hair and makeup held flawlessly.
