Several years ago, Dr. Tucker retired and sold the practice to another dentist. It seems like the practice changed hands a few times, as I felt like I saw a different dentist every visit for a while. While I was in college, I got some new retainers made by Dr. Tucker to help with grinding teeth at night, etc. The invisalign machine came with 4 sets of these retainers. I took two of the sets home with me, and the staff assured me that they would keep the other two sets safe for when I needed them down the road. As I was in college at the time, moving around a lot, I agreed that that sounded like the safer option. After Dr. Tucker's departure, I inquired about by retainers, and the new staff informed me that anything they had kept for anybody was gone, and nobody knows where it went. No clue who - if anybody - is at fault here, but it's upsetting to me that something of mine, that was not cheap, was lost. In addition to the retainers, I found myself getting contrary advice about the types of fillings that Dr. Tucker did. I got some silver fillings, which Dr. Tucker assured me were the better option as they would last longer, about 20 years. Now, maybe 4 years later, I'm hearing that I need to redo these fillings. The people here are great! Appointments run very smoothly, everything is very comfortable. Due to this string of events, I have decided to seek dental work elsewhere, and get a fresh perspective on the silver fillings.

It just happened that we were looking for a change and haven't looked back. It's a plus that their office is not far from us. Located right on the corner of Lynngate and Rocky Ridge, it's about 3 blocks away from Lorna Road and basically on the edge of Hoover and Vestavia. Their office is a converted house so it's cozy. There's plenty of parking spaces and you can see their building if you're driving past it on Rocky Ridge. Their waiting room is simple and what they don't have in the waiting room like a Keurig, they make up with their friendly staff that's always there to help. They have all the needed state of the art stuff tech like panoramic and digital x-rays. They provide comprehensive services from cosmetic, endodontic, to restorative. And as any good practitioner, if Dr. Sanderson can't help, he'll know someone he trusts that can. He has performed root canals and a bridge and I have no complaints. My wife and 3 children also see him. He is a solo practice, but has dentists who cover for him when he's not available. What can I say about he and his staff? They will go out of their way to be helpful. We have had insurance foul ups and his staff were resilient in getting it resolved. His hygenists are professional, efficient and so nice. They have text messaging to remind you of your appointments. Dr. Sanderson will always answer your questions honestly. His wealth of experience in his field gives me the confidence that I trust. He has an affable personality that really helps when you're in the chair. He is fluent in spanish and some of his staff is also fluent in spanish thus making him quite popular with spanish speaking patients. If you are looking for a down-to-earth, no-nonsense, "hometown" dental practictioner, look no further.

I'd recommend her to anyone - all my daughters' teeth (two of three are out of braces now) are great. Generally, if Dr Weissman is seeing you, you're on time - she's great about telling you ahead of time if your appointment will be long or short, and if it's long, how long and what to expect. The location in Crestline is convenient to MB Junior High, which has been a HUGE plus for us. They also have a location in Inverness that we've used, and, while it's a bit difficult to find, it's a great office as well.
