I went to several consultations over the years, but it was not until a few months ago that I decided to finally do something about it. On September 1, 2020, I went for a braces consultation here. I knew that Birmingham Orthodontics does same day braces so I had my teeth cleaned by my general dentist a couple weeks prior. At the consultation, I had X-rays, pictures, and an examination of my teeth. After that, the orthodontist told me I was a good candidate for braces. He also said I could get my braces same day, which I chose to do. I paid and then I got my braces on. It was an easy process. I was not in any pain during or after the braces being installed. I have been back twice since my braces were initially installed. Each time, the staff has taken precautions for Covid-19 and has been prompt and professional. When I ask questions, they have been answered. My treatment so far has been great! My teeth are moving well! I'm looking forward to this journey to straighter teeth. If you decide to go based on this review, please tell them Val Williams sent you!

Well..... where to start. Well I will say this about this place, they are fast and friendly. I was…read moreactually amazed that the top braces went on my daughter in a matter of minutes... we have to wait on the bottoms due to top needs more work. The orthodontist we had was a very nice older gentleman that takes the time to understand what is needed and quickly determines the path that is needed... and if you are ready, and they can fit you in they can put them on right after the initial consult. That is what we opted for... now as far as the "tune ups" every 6 weeks, these are pretty quick as well. My daughter is only back there for about 15 minutes. Now not knowing anything about braces as I never had the opportunity as a child. Needless to say braces are a lot of work as well to maintain. My daughter was not fully prepared but is finally getting the idea. I will say do your research on additional items you need. Like little brushes for "in between tooth paste brushing. Also listen very close to the instruction, these are not a suggestion but mandatory. If you do not take care of these they can actually damage your teeth... all of this information is give. To once the braces are on. As far as cost... yeah it is kinda expensive, but if you need to you can finance them... All in all we are really happy with this place, and I would recommend anyone here to get their teeth straightened.

PROs: Called this office right after my kid had a dental emergency while playing in the summer. The receptionist was very calming and answered all of my questions before we decided to make the drive there. Once we arrived, we were done with X rays and in the back with the staff and the actual dentist doing the exam within 10 mins. The dentist reassured us both of the situation and offered to fix everything on the spot. His name was Gio I think. Within about 60 mins of him getting started on the treatment plan he was done and the problem was solved that just needed some time to let things calm down. The exam was $85 upfront and our treatment plan was an additional $500. There was no financial surprises or hidden fees. Everyone was very nice, professional, and knowledgable. Not to mention it was like 7pm on a weekday when they took us. CONs: None!

My family had gone to Vestavia Dental for years -- Dr. Tucker was awesome. To this day, the staff…read moreand hygienists are all very friendly and efficient. Several years ago, Dr. Tucker retired and sold the practice to another dentist. It seems like the practice changed hands a few times, as I felt like I saw a different dentist every visit for a while. While I was in college, I got some new retainers made by Dr. Tucker to help with grinding teeth at night, etc. The invisalign machine came with 4 sets of these retainers. I took two of the sets home with me, and the staff assured me that they would keep the other two sets safe for when I needed them down the road. As I was in college at the time, moving around a lot, I agreed that that sounded like the safer option. After Dr. Tucker's departure, I inquired about by retainers, and the new staff informed me that anything they had kept for anybody was gone, and nobody knows where it went. No clue who - if anybody - is at fault here, but it's upsetting to me that something of mine, that was not cheap, was lost. In addition to the retainers, I found myself getting contrary advice about the types of fillings that Dr. Tucker did. I got some silver fillings, which Dr. Tucker assured me were the better option as they would last longer, about 20 years. Now, maybe 4 years later, I'm hearing that I need to redo these fillings. The people here are great! Appointments run very smoothly, everything is very comfortable. Due to this string of events, I have decided to seek dental work elsewhere, and get a fresh perspective on the silver fillings.

Most of my dental experiences have been "horrific" since early childhood. The morning of my oral surgery, a friend of mine prayed for me that the surgery was painless, the surgeon's hands were steady, and the recovery quick . The surgery was actually "painless" and the stitches were not felt while Dr. Buck placed them into the extracted area. Dr. Buck is AWESOME. His voice and mannerisms are caring, concerned, and reassuring. When I arrived home, I looked into the bag that his office had given me at "check-out" and to my surprise there was a pamphlet titled "A Letter to My Friends" which asked the reader to accept Christ as their Savior. After reading the pamphlet, I called my praying friend and told her about it. She said "That's Awesome, just think of the number of souls they reach each day." Unfortunately, my treatment plan was never fully completed, and I never received all of the products and services that I paid for. Instead of delivering the premium quality that was advertised, I felt like corners were cut and lower-cost alternatives were used without proper explanation. Another major concern was that much of my treatment appeared to be performed by students or inexperienced staff while I was paying premium prices for specialized care. I expected experienced professionals throughout the process, especially considering the cost. Customer service was also disappointing. Once payment was made, it became very difficult to get concerns addressed or receive clear answers about my treatment. I felt like my concerns were ignored rather than resolved. Based on my personal experience, I would encourage anyone considering ClearChoice to ask detailed questions, get everything in writing, and fully understand exactly what products, materials, and services are included before paying. I regret trusting the sales presentation, and I cannot recommend my experience. Beware go else where and get estimates not just them.

The initial visit felt more like a pitch than a consultation, and it didn't inspire confidence that there was a clear plan. It also seemed like less-experienced staff were handling parts of the process, which added to the uncertainty. When questions or concerns came up, there wasn't much accountability everything felt deflected rather than addressed. Overall, it gave the impression of a business that prioritizes closing deals over delivering consistent, knowledgeable care. I expected a lot more transparency and professionalism.
