On top of that chaos, causing us lost time, money and effort for days, he put in the inspection report that our property needed landscaping! At least as sellers we didn't have to pay for his inspection. I'd never hire this inspector.

Helpful, Detailed Inspection Report!…read more During our house hunt, in October 2016, my family hired Active Home Inspection, owned by Adam Jasiewicz, to conduct an inspection on a home that we were under contract on. Mr. Jasiewicz personally responded to my business request with a fast response time (same business day). And, most importantly, he was flexible to accommodate many schedules (buyers, sellers and two real estate agents, in addition to his own). Mr. Jasiewicz arrived to the site, explained his inspection plan (including estimated timeframe) and began promptly. He appeared to be precise and often asked questions to ensure accuracy and, in turn, answered questions posed to him. I was impressed that he spent nearly four hours on property! We received an incredibly detailed home inspection report the following morning. We are second-time home buyers and certainly did not receive such detailed work from our previous inspector. Mr. Jasiewicz provided plenty of photographs to complement his analysis which included red arrows to specifically note areas of concern, when needed. Additionally, Mr. Jasiewicz was forthcoming in identifying properly functioning areas and, of course, areas of concern with his recommendation to solicit repairs from a certified contractor. My real estate agent had a follow-up question regarding an issue that we wanted to fix and, again, Mr. Jasiewicz replied promptly and with full explanation. Overall, my experience with Active Home Inspection was remarkable. Although Mr. Jasiewicz works with many clients, I felt that he was fully invested in my property with my best interest in mind. I have no complaints about Active Home Inspection and highly recommend this company to those seeking home inspection services. The process of home-buying is stressful and complicated, and it is a relief to have an expert like Mr. Jasiewicz in one's corner. He made me feel confident in my home-buying decision and I am grateful!

I would leave negative 5 stars if I could. He missed numerous items and one which was listed as…read moreworking is not. The doorbell can barely be heard if your standing under it. But, That's the least of my concerns. He noted half a dozen things wrong with the windows such as broken springs because a few of them don't stay up and dried out caulking. There was a window pane that was broken which I already knew about. After I close on the property, I move in and find the windows are more than 20 years old. The same age as the house! They're drafty and have no insulating value at all. When he was confronted of course he had every excuse in the world why it isn't his responsibility to estimate the age of the windows. How about contractor grade single pane windows haven't been up to code for almost 20 years? Never mind he closely looked right at them and saw the broken one was a single pane of glass! How about that Mr "expert"? Apparently, there's an InterNACHI Standards of Practice which he claims excludes him from disclosing the windows age. So because you're looking right at 20 year old windows this document states you shouldn't say anything? That's a pathetic, lame excuse. Either that or you're not the "expert" you claim to be and you couldn't tell the difference. All I know is I'm already out almost 11k to replace most of the windows and to replace them all is going to rum about another 14k. I also discovered the water main can't be fully shut off because the handle won't rotate a full 90 degrees because it hits the slab the a/c unit sits on. His pathetic, lame excuse for that is that he is not allowed to turn water valves. Can you use your eyes? Because an amateur can just look at it and tell it won't turn all the way. There's too much here to list. The entire reason a home inspector is hired is to point out potential problems that should be addressed BEFORE the inspection period is over. Other wise, if I had known about the windows, I would have renegotiated or walked away instead of getting stuck with a 25k repair. You'd be better off inspecting the house yourself. Maybe I'll see you in court.
