The tech came out and let me know it was a valve that was needed and that it would take a couple of days to order and get back for repair. The guy came back and replaced the valve, I paid for the diagnosis and repair, but the furnace was not fixed, over $500 paid. The next day, the tech lets me know he fried the controller so I will need a new furnace. I said ok, let me know how much it would be can you give me estimates. He let me know that Laurel will possibly deduct the work put into the new install, I said great, that sounds good. As he was talking to me, he let me know he tried a few things more things the day prior and that he made the problem worse, so I need to pay him over $800 additional. My blood started to boil, let me get this straight, you quoted me and I paid over $500 dollars so far, and because you had some time on your hands decided to try a few more things that made things worse and now you want an additional $800 and its still not fixed? Over $1300 total and its not fixed. Shyster company, as I talked to them about my issue on their business practices, so they shut me down, I didn't give them my email so they told me they would (go through other means to get their money) they wanted to keep on explaining to me all the work they did that evening, the work that they didn't get approval to do those things and didn't fix in the end. They wanted to tell me it was my fault for having an old furnace. Is this the kind of company you want in your property? UPDATE: ---------------------------------------------------------------- I called another HVAC company to install a new furnace because of my "fried" "toasted" furnace. Talking to the guy, I let him know the furnace might need to be replaced, but if he could salvage it then that would be awesome. I asked that if he couldn't get it working again, then if he would deduct the payment for the work into it while checking it out and start the install immediately. He let me know he would check it out the next day, but start the install work the next day after that if it was messed up. I called him a couple of days later to get an update and he let me know that he stopped by yesterday and fixed it with no issues. I let him know about my situation, he laughed and said, no your furnace is all good, yes older but lots of life still in it. I asked for the bill, and he responded there wasn't much to it the other company was just ..... and no, that wasn't a special order valve, it was told it is common and standard.

It was 8:30 Monday morning -- a call for help went out to Miller's Plumbing with a reassurance someone would be out that day. Not only did help arrive the same day - it was that very morning that Nathan came knocking on the door. Nathan had the expertise to fix the issue with the pilot lights. He explained what he was doing and why they weren't working in the first place. The invoice arrived via email shortly afterwards. I emailed questions related to payment and pleasantly surprised to receive a prompt & polite response. Our family will be relying on Miller's in the future.

I called Miller Plumbing & Heating left a message with my problem that night, Jesse called prompt 8:00am and said she switched the schedule around and would send someone to install new tank. Everything went perfect, excellent service person forgot his name but excellent service polite and nice! I knew I needed new HVAC units so now were in March 2026 I called Miller Plumbing and Doug came to my house and he got me an estimate in a couple days very nice person also. The estimate was very reasonable and I gave deposit. In March 2026 all new HVAC units are here and installed 3 days 2 separate units up and running! Special thanks go out to the service techs who installed the units Travis and Corbin because they are the ones that did an excellent installation, the part that reflects on Miller Plumbing & Heating's business. They were courteous, polite, cleaned thoroughly. Travis and Corbin were two gentleman that you can trust in house and I would not hesitate to have them back!! They walked me around units and explained everything when finished. Not enough good to say about the service techs!! Next project is city water hook up and they will be who I call. Also I don't know the owner Dave, but I would also like to thank him for having such a great crew, it has made both jobs done by them stressless. Thank you Dave!

They also had NO MOVING BLANKETS, NO DOLLY !! and many other things that I had been told by express essentials would definitely be provided. Because they had no dolly, I watched two young men carry one thing at a time There was almost nothing left to move from my old department , except furniture. It was beyond ridiculous. NEVER AGAIN. They are AWEFUL. This is the WORST MOVING "company" I have ever dealt with…read more I reserved them for moving some light furniture and boxes from my 1br apt to a storage. They showed up 2 AND half HOURS LATE. No apology no notification. The manager "Sheree" would not even pick up the phone for the first 1 hour and kept refusing any call as I was trying to figure out if the movers are coming at all. When she picked-up she said, they are on their way and will arrive in 30 mins. No sign of them so I called 45 mins later, Sheree kept disconnecting the call again. When she picked up, she told me that the movers are wrapping up some work nearby and will arrive in 15 mins. 20 mins after that I get a call from a different phone and a guy said that they have just been informed of the move schedule and they are on their way and will arrive in 30 mins. The moment the movers arrived (after 2.5 hours of delay and near-radio-silence) Sheree contacted me 4 times (now all on a sudden available) to finish the whole payment while the movers did not even finish moving one box. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT. Dealing with Sheree / Express Essential Services was horrendous experience
