These guys are great! Ben came out to take a look at my upstairs toilet that wasn't working and…read moreprovided me with a quote last month. He was extremely courteous & helpful. Nick just finished installing my new toilet today. They were both so knowledgeable and did quality work. They explained everything so well. And, they aren't expensive. I really appreciate having Nick do the work, I know it was done well by a third-generation Master Plumber. Amazing!!

My old boiler is about 65 years old. My 2nd floor radiators where not getting hot. The 2nd floor…read morewas always cold in my house. In the past, I had called 2 different heating companies to look at the boiler in my house. Both companies said my boiler was working fine, but yet my 2nd floor was still cold. I had called Lawerence plumbing to look at my furnace. Lawerence plumbing sent 2 technicians, Sam and Ed. It only took 5 minutes and they found the problem. The PSI in the water system was only at 5 Lbs, when it should have been at 15 Lbs. The valves that controls the water pressure in the boiler was corroded and stuck. The boiler system was old, and several other valves were also in need of replacement. Surprisingly, they were able to replace the old worn-out parts without breaking other parts. That's always the fear of working on old plumbing, things tend to snowball. They had to replace some bleeder valves on two of the radiators also. To make a long story short, Sam and Ed did a terrific job fixing my boiler. They were able to restore heat to my 2nd-floor without costing me a small fortune. If I ever need a plumber again, I will gladly call Lawerence Plumbing. They did a terrific job at an honest price. If I do call them again, I hope they send Sam & Ed again. Those two guys really know their stuff. Thanks Lawerence Plumbing and Heating

I had previously provided a stellar review for Calfo. The technician was highly professional--and…read morealso clearly a good salesperson. I signed up for an annual plan--it was my understanding that the techs would be available to provide me with oversight of my existing units and maintenance. The hidden maintenance fees are the key. Even though I subscribed to an annual plan, they charge a fee for any services outside of those for overview of service to maintain the household. It is my own fault for not asking more questions and reading between the lines... but DO NOT be sucked into an annual plan. It does not provide you with anything other than coming out to check your units. They will not even assess a job/other problem without a fee.

Similar experience to other reviewers here, unfortunately: I have been using Calfo for 4 or 5…read moreyears, and I even pay for the VIP servicing but this last interaction has been the last straw for me. The HVAC technician recently discovered that there was a leak in the furnace causing a lot of corrosion. Fair, that definitely needs to be fixed. I was told that the combustion blower motor and a plastic casing need to be replaced but luckily the parts are under warranty. Silly me, without doing my due diligence, I agreed to a $1600 repair. But the more I thought about it and the more quotes I got from other companies and the more research I did, I realized I was getting completely ripped off! If the parts are under warranty, how the heck was the labor costing $1600 for what the technician said was a 2-hour job??! To make matters worse, they were evasive whenever I asked for an itemized invoice or more details about the labor. It took several days to get the technician to contact me. Unfortunately I've already paid them $800 and they keep 35% even in the event of a refund, so I'm still losing money in this, but I had no choice but to cancel this job. I will not be working with Calfo again. THEY OVERCHARGE EVEN THEIR LOYAL CUSTOMERS WHO PAY FOR VIP SERVICE. I've realized they've been "finding" issues and overcharging for years. Even some other local companies mentioned to me that Calfo is notorious for inflating rates. DON'T USE CALFO UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET OVERCHARGED FOR EVERYTHING.
