Even though you can eat in, there isn't much room and it is not a spacious Restaurant/Café. If you are going to order food from here, my advice would be to have it at home. I remember ordering a meat dish and whilst eating the meat it didn't feel as if it had been cooked properly. It was pretty hard to chew and to be honest that has put me off from going to this place again. Since I live close to the Balti House and Hill Top Café, I am within walking distance and it saves me having to find parking. If you were to take the car, there is car park opposite where you can park or you can park on the main street where the Café is situated.

The Rajnagar is a tough find but well worth the journey, the layout and decor is of any Indian restaurant. The food however is a touch above, a starter of tandoor coley was delicious. Soft fish with that spice and a crunchy breadcrumb was fusion British cuisine at its best. Two of the diners I was with had the king prawns which I also tried, also delicious! He prawns were so tender and sweet, impressive cooking. For mains I had a mixed curry, paspuran Korahi, prawn, lamb and chicken in a tomato sauce. Medium spiced it was delicious. Add a bottle of wine and it was a great evening.

It can be used for parties, social meetings etc. As Desi Masala opens at 9am, they offer breakfasts from 10am-1pm. I have not actually tried any of the breakfasts at Desi Masala so that is something I should try. However I have tried their mixed BBQ's and it is lovely. Chicken wings and legs as well as meat kebabs are cooked to perfection every time I have visited. Service is pretty good and you are not kept waiting long for your food. Desi Masala does show live sports and it is a nice place to have a pint. Really recommend you give Desi Masala a visit. You will not be disappointed.

Haveli also have a function room which can cater for up to 160 people. Large Screen TV's, award winning chefs and a great atmosphere, what more can you ask for from a pub/restaurant. I wanted to eat something not as heavy as I might normally try at a place like this so I opted for the Chickpea Curry, which came with rice. It was very good and the roti I ordered to accompany it made a nice complement. The location was rather convenient for me as it was between the New St. Station and my hotel. It was easy to find and the seating capacity was fairly plentiful. I was seated right away when I walked in despite the fact that it was relatively busy. I also appreciated their hours as they are open until 10 PM on weekdays and later on weekends. That allowed me to walk in at about 9:15 on a Saturday and not feel rushed to finish my meal. The service was decent. I did not have to wait too long before my server attended to me. My food came out in a reasonable time once my order was placed. The prices were also fairly good for a city centre location. My final cost for everything was just over £17, which was about $22 with the conversion rate at the time. This was a decent deal considering the quality of the fare. The one thing I did not personally like was the excessively loud atmosphere. This was definitely a place for 20-somethings, which meant music at an excessive volume. Unfortunately, this was not to my taste. Add to that a dining room full of people trying to talk over that music and you have an atmosphere that could be surmised to be the antithesis of relaxing. But it all depends on what you are looking for, I suppose. And to be fair, it was not the loudest I've experienced, even on this trip. While I would give this place less than favorable marks for atmosphere, the menu choices were quite nice, the food was very good, the service was decent and the prices were reasonable. I think an overall rating of 4 stars was appropriate. And if you like atmospheres such as what I described, then you might consider it a five-star place.
