Beware! I don't normally provide reviews, but wanted to give a warning because they provided an…read more unnecessary service, then provided poor customer service when I questioned them. My husband and I are new to the area and both went to see Dr. Hunter for the first time. I was given full mouth x-rays and my husband was only given partial mouth x-rays. I found out that my insurance only covers full mouth x-rays every 3 years. Since I had had them done the year before, they wouldn't cover the x-rays. When I called the office to talk to them about it, I was told that the doctor decides before the visit what the patient needs and had decided I needed full mouth x-rays. I asked to talk to the doctor to find out why he made that determination for me when I have no dental issues, and haven't had a cavity in years. My husband always has dental issues and even had 3 cavities at this visit. I was told that the doctor wouldn't talk to me about insurance issues. I only wanted an explanation as to why he decided to do full mouth x-rays on me and not my husband. He would not talk to me about it. I asked them to "write off" the expense as I know many other dentist offices do this when x-rays are not covered and that other offices check insurance coverage before the visit. They said they would not write it off and that it is my responsibility to know my coverage. I have had the same insurance since 2001 and have never paid for x-rays before, so it was definitely an unexpected expense. The thing that bothers me the most is that the doctor won't talk to me. That is poor customer service to me. The next 3 times I called the office and left messages, my calls were not returned. When I finally got a hold of the billing department, I asked if we could split the bill because yes, I should have been proactive and know my insurance, but they also should have checked my insurance as a courtesy. She said she would check with the doctor. I am shocked, the doctor said no. And he still won't talk to me!!! It got me wondering if the reason they did full x-rays is because I am a better candidate for the Invisilign product that they push and not a dental issue.

Hunter and his staff are very friendly. I would highly recommend His office. My kids like him and…read morethat is saying a lot.
