This box has everything that you will need and they follow their own programming. CrossFit Broadwing is new but they have it together. I had a long conversation with the owner and she explained to me the how and why behind their programming. They were also very receptive to feedback. I have been participating in CrossFit for almost 6 years. I know good gyms, bad gyms and terrible ones. This was one of my favorites to drop into. The staff and community were very welcoming. The only suggestion I had for them was ensuring they incorporate more strength pieces especially on days where a workout might take an athlete less than ten minutes. The owner explained that they have new members so they are still coaching and teaching all the CrossFit things. I understood where she was coming from. I can tell that they plan on building to that, they also offer Olympic weight lifting. I will for sure be back the next time I am in Martinsburg West By God Virgina!

Shady financial practices. Had a membership for years and canceled it for Covid. Six months later,…read morethey started charging my card again, by their mistake, and it went unnoticed for a long time. They did a partial refund but stiffed me still for over $1000. Some advice, if you're going to give your credit card to a company that practices like this, is to make sure you block them with your credit card company after your membership is up. ( the following is a reply to the reply from one life) Hi Kelly, I think it might be wise to get some facts straight before you reply. Your regional manager never "explained" anything. After looking through the internal notes of the account, the general manager thought I should be refunded. But he could not authorize such a large refund and had to kick it up the chain to the regional manager. After many attempts, the regional manager essentially ignored the flagged requests from the general manager. So please, do your due diligence and look through the internal notes on the account. I don't judge a company by the mistakes they make, but how they fix them.

Great gym! Had to move away from Frederick so I'm switching to another location but my time with…read morethe South Frederick location was great. In the time I was there, they opened up several new rooms in the gym, including more benches, racks, and deadlifting platforms. They also seemed responsive to their member surveys and it seemed like my suggestions for improvement were actually taken into account based on the changes I observed. I typically went during the mornings and found that I rarely had to wait for equipment, which is always a plus. Better experience here than most gyms I have been to.

What's the point of paying for swim lesson if they keep canceling class and they only allow you to make up one class between sessions. The staff in the reception area can't tell you if there will be make up classes. The coach who teaches the class can't confirm. They all direct you to the swim director. There should be some better communication there.

Awesome gym if you are looking for a place to train in Hagerstown! The gym has a spacious mat area,…read moreit's impeccably clean, and there is a refreshing variety of people that train there. I am a frequent drop-in and the average class size so far has been 20-30 people (for somebody who is used to training in smaller gyms this is a huge benefit). Seth (the owner) has a great attitude and is incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming, he makes you feel right at home as soon as you walk in the door, and his teaching/coaching style is consumable for beginners and advanced practitioners alike. The gym offers a comprehensive schedule so it's easy to find time slots that fit into your day, and the wide variety of people there keep every roll interesting. The only downside of this gym is that it is too far away from my home or I'd be there every day! Definitely check Enlisted 9 fight company out if you're in the area. One of the best gyms I've been to and can't wait to go back!

Sol is as good as it gets. To preface, I've been practicing (and just recently got RYT-200…read morecertified) for 10+ years. Having been to many studios over the years, I've become quite discerning. Yoga isn't cheap and I'm picky about where I practice yoga for that reason. Much of my practice takes place at home but that's about to change now that I moved to Frederick. Stopped in over the weekend to give Sol a try and purchased the 2-week new student special for $25. I've taken two classes already, gentle yoga and a vinyasa flow (all levels). Wonderful vibe, excellent instructors, tons of class offerings/workshops and reasonable prices. They offer all sorts of options; if you're not interested in packages you can drop in and they offer discounted rates for some of their classes, just check the schedule. You can pay online or in person. I love that they offer complementary hot tea, by local tea shop Voila which is only minutes down the road. I've reviewed them as well (5 stars.. amazing tea). Not only am I so happy to now be living in Frederick, but the icing on the cake is that I have a wonderful yoga studio I can come to all the time to help me sustain my personal practice. Helpful tip: there's a parking lot in the back, it's on the left side of Patrick St right before you get to Sol. It's free :)

I'd never done yoga before but I figured pre-natal classes wouldn't be too hard since we fatsos can't move too quickly. Well, the instructors make sure you move and change poses carefully but that doesn't mean you don't get a workout! Particularly after Keri's class, I left with sore muscles and feeling like I'd had my first real workout in months! The front desk staff is very friendly and you can rent mats or buy water there. They also offer tea, which is a nice touch. If you're worried about your class filling up, making resevations via the online system is a breeze. I don't have other studios to compare Sol Yoga to but the rooms are large so that people aren't jammed in next to each other. The building also has its own parking lot in back which is almost unheard of in downtown Frederick. Namaste!

Then we got a snack from the snack bar and she made him go eat by himself in the grass section behind the pool "because of ants". My family is visiting from out of town, we are members of a pool at home and regularly go to the grandparents lake house. On Saturday my son was swimming from float to float by himself at the lake! My son is also on the swim team! I was completely fine with how he was swimming, he was with his uncle who is an adult, and there was almost no one at the pool! The manager embarrassed my son, crushed his confidence, and took the opportunity to override my judgement as a parent, saying she would not allow him to use 7/8 of the pool without a life jacket. She never asked me any questions and she never came and spoke to me, she just had another lifeguard tell me what she had decided. Absolutely disappointing. She should have expressed her concern or fear to me, discussed it with me, and asked me about his history with swimming, and then let me decide. Would I really let my son "actively drown"?
