Everything at this place was amazing beside the price! The mimosas we ordered were great and not too light, not too strong. The sandwiches were amazing and such a great aid sit on to our meals in Miami. The atmosphere was really eclectic. I loved the Books on display in the back and the shelves. I loved that they had indoor and outdoor seating and the flowers in vases around the restaurant. The service was great- the cashiers at the front were not mad or rude to me because I didn't speak Spanish and were helpful to deciding what we wanted when we had questions. However , two mimosas and two sandwiches and a coffee later, I was out 60 dollars which was a punch in the gut lol. Obviously it's Miami Beach so I understand, but still, very expensive. I didn't see bathrooms here, but there may have been. I forgot to ask, sorry! Parking is street parking and limited. Quick service, good coffee, the quality is what's bringing this down to a three. It's decent food but not quality for the price. We asked for water and got tiny cups willed with room temperature water (fine for me but my mom who was visiting and isn't used to the Florida heat was dying for ice water). Also, confusingly the couple sitting next to us got big glasses of cold water. So I'm not sure where the discrepancy was there. Which is why I rated it lower to a three. It did only have one guy running the cafe and one cooking. The food wasn't plated that nicely and looked similar to diner food. My bacon was all floppy and oily. I ended up not eating it. GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS AVAILABLE!!! Which was awesome! And gf dessert options. I would have given it a two stars but the gluten free options really bump it up to a 3. A 3.5 Star coffee spot (but not worthy of the bump up to 4 stars) in "mid beach" Miami Beach right on Collins, a short walk from Faena, across the street from the Miami Beach Edition hotel and steps away from a favorite, totally hidden gem Peruvian/Ceviche joint called Ceviches by Divino (soooo good - even for the non-ceviche/fish/seafood lover - see my review). Note - we were iso a coffee drink after an afternoon on the beach but before heading out to dinner. Shepherd is a perfect coffee spot if you're looking for something other than Sbux (across the street in the Edition hotel). It's a cute, local spot and hangout. Loads of inside table seating, outside sidewalk seating too (but no scenery to speak of sitting outside so might as well enjoy hanging inside in air conditioning lol), clean and open, nicely decorated with friendly service. I took a snap of the menu board. Basic variety of coffee drinks, hot and cold. And an assorted selection of muffins and pastries. They have other food on their menu including bfast items but we weren't looking for a meal - but if we were, nothing on their menu sparked any interest imo. My companion (a hot and iced latte aficionado) said the iced vanilla latte she ordered us both was good because it wasn't too sweet. One of few coffee shops in the immediate local area so if you're looking for an indie spot, Shepherd does the job just fine. Found this coffee shop on yelp and decided to give it a try. There were a few patrons inside and seated outside on the handful of tables. Slightly down market area with several transients in the vicinity, I would not want to visit alone. That said we received a warm greeting from a new staff member and had high hopes for our morning cup. Unfortunately the coffee, their own blend, lacked zest and flavour. The baked goods looked amazing, we didn't try them but they looked crispy. Some baked items seemed day old, not sure, but probably were. Made my second visit this morning and I won't be back. Extremely overpriced. I was charged $14 for a mini/individual quiche. They could have, at the least, added a mini salad to it. I've paid $11 max in New York for such sized quiche. All day long my colleagues have sent me photographs of mini quiches around Miami for far le$$. Lol. Ripoff, bad service, bad juice. I got a juice and a coffee, they charged me $2 for a splash of oat milk, and the juice was only half full. I said it's only half full and they just looked at me. It was all foam and tasted really weird like she left the peels on or something shouldn't have been in there idk what but I threw it away. This place is the worst in all of Miami that I've been to. A shakshuka, BLT and a coffee cost $47 - for that price I expect something really really tasty. What I got was the greasiest BLT, and a shakshuka with a tomato sauce that seemed like it was dumped straight out of a can. They say it comes with two slices of toast but it's really one that's cut diagonally. Ironically the toast was the best part of the meal. 100% avoid, almost any other coffee shop is far better (like Crema down the straight). I rarely regret going to a place, but this was one. I walked out fuming, I don't know which devil they sold their soul to for such high ratings. Yuck! Lots of nice choices here for a healthy eater. The juices I like the best here are the V4 which is a green juice with ginger and spinach and the V5 which is a red juice that has carrots and beets. My favorite of the salads is the Greek Salad. If it's not enough for you I'd recommend adding salmon to it and it makes for a nice portion. My favorite of the sandwiches here are the tuna salad or the salmon sandwich on baguette. The tuna salad is particularly good. The only sandwich I didn't care too much for is the King Shepherd. It has cream cheese, mixed greens and eggs but for some reason it just didn't work for me. The indoor seating area is fairly large and gives you room to create space if necessary. It feels bright and well lit and has a pleasant feel. Bonus - there's a big glass jug of lemon water with cups in case you're thirsty. The outdoor seating area is smaller due to the adjacent sidewalk but during the day there is typically space to sit. Employees here are nice and they get the food out in short order. A good cafe alternative to Starbucks in the mid beach area. I came here twice on my vacation since it was so close. There is currently seating inside and outside. The iced lattes were really good, I had them both times I came here. Very smooth flavor. The avocado toast was deff a let down. There seemed to be no seasonings whatsoever. I found some salt and pepper packets though to try to add a little something. The egg was an add on and cooked over easy as I requested. Not really up to par compared to other avocados toasts I've had. The second time I visited I wanted the açaí bowl, but they were out. Instead I got the next best thing, the grab and go yogurt parfait. This was pretty typical with strawberries, blueberries, vanilla yogurt, granola, and I think raisins. Cute spot as you make your way past the RIU hotel in mid beach. People are lovely but coffee and pastries are meh. Ordered extra hot latte and almond croissant. Coffee was drinkable upon collection- I.e. room temp. They make me a cappuccino not a latte- you can feel the difference in weight as a cap has more foam. The coffee it self was not great. We stopped in daily to have a coffee or juice. They make an excellent cappuccino! Their fancy espresso machine is also a sight to see! The service is pretty friendly (we met many of their servers because we stopped in so much) but there are a few things they could do better with regard to operations. Their food often came out quite quickly and then the beverages took forever. The team seems to get along but communication breakdowns seemed to happen. The staff seemed to have a hard time keeping track of who had their food already, who was missing drinks, and whose food was whose... easy things to fix. I got a Cortada here and it was very subpar. I was actually disappointed. Luckily a local head recommended me to another place just down the street and that was amazing. You can get a cup of coffee here or a Cortada but it's very average.I need to use the bathroom while I was here walked in it was completely clogged nasty clogged. I so I'll have to hold it till the next location. The employee was average not friendly not rude. $4.63 for a Cortada here. Loved their ice chai tea. It had a hint of vanilla and was a great substitute for my regular coffee. I also got the açaí bowl which was filled with açaí, banana, blueberries, strawberries and granola/honey/coconut. Very refreshing and great size for $12. My husband got a Carmel iced latte which was equally as good and a ham n cheese croissant plus added egg. The croissant was huge and buttery. Very tasty for a quick breakfast. I popped in here while in South Beach for work. Shepherd is a nice break from the zaniness of area to slow down and get a coffee. It is definitely not a scene spot. When I came in, it was being frequented by locals taking a break in their day, having meetings, etc. The store is spacious and there is plenty of seating. I had an espresso and a cookie. The cookie was ok, but they had lots of tasty looking pastries that I probably should have chosen instead. The espresso was great and the service was friendly, too. read more

Loved this coffee shop during my visit to Miami so much I went twice! You order at the counter and they give you a buzzer to let you know when your drink/food is ready. The staff is super friendly and prepared everything quickly. One of my favorite breakfast dishes is Shakshuka and it's made perfectly here. The eggs are baked in a small cast iron skillet filled with the shakshuka base. The eggs were perfectly cooked with a runny yolk perfect for dipping bread in. The sauce was flavored well and had a nice kick to it because of the jalepenos. I added feta cheese to the dish because shakshuka is so much better with it. They also have great lattes! This coffee shop is perfect to get away from the craziness of Miami beach and enjoy a nice relaxing meal. Highly recommend if you're staying in the area! read more

Such a gorgeous café. You'd never know it from the outside. It's in a tiny run down looking strip mall on Collins but once you walk in it's surprisingly beautiful. They've got walls of books and coffee table books on tables for anyone to read. They serve sandwiches salads, all day breakfast, smoothies and beautiful cakes and pastries.
