I have a 2022 Trailblazer with 57,000 miles that has been having engine overheating issues that have yet to be resolved. At first I was very happy with the treatment I received from Bowser. They got me in for repair in less than a week, and had the car repaired a few days later. I left a review stating they got me in swiftly and had my car back on the road in no time. If only I knew then what was to come. The first repair visit was diagnosed to be a water pump module, which was replaced. Initially I was told this part was on back order with no way of knowing when it would be delivered, but that they were on a priority list and it would be delivered ASAP. They didn't have a loaner car available for over a week, and I was told it could be months before the part was available. Thankfully the part was in about two days later anyways so it wasn't that big of an issue as I have a work truck I was able to drive in the meantime. The next day the same issue occurred, an overheating engine with reduced power. After 10 minutes of unanswered calls I finally got an answer, brought my car back in, and was told this time it was a coolant sensor and a valve working in tandem causing the issue. They had a loaner car for me the next day to use until my car was fixed, and five days later my car was finished. Today on my way to work, my car once again was overheating. The engine shut itself off mid drive, and I had to pull over on the side of the road and abandon it. Once they were open I called Bowser stating the car was still not functioning properly and they needed to tow it to their lot and fix it, as this was the third time it's had an issue after they fixed it. I was told that I had to call roadside assistance to get it towed there and that they couldn't do anything for me. I called roadside assistance to no avail, the automated call couldn't collect my information properly, and couldn't connect me to anybody to talk to. I tried to call Bowser Chevrolet for THIRTY MINUTES and never got a single answer no matter which department I tried to connect to. Sales, service, parts, operator, didn't matter. No department answers the phone. All the while I'm on the side of a road in a broke down car on a 45 degree morning with no heat due to their negligent work and I myself was now late for work. In a last ditch effort, I called McElwain Motors in Ellwood City, who listened to my problem and got me connected to roadside assistance in minutes. The tow truck came out in under an hour and had my vehicle towed back to Bowser at no cost to my own, all thanks to McElwain Motors. My car is now sitting at their lot as of this review and my calls still go unanswered. If they really are just busy, there needs to be a voicemail or callback system. Countless other reviewers and people I've spoken to personally mention the catastrophe that is their communication system. Having your calls go unanswered is very frustrating. This is extremely unprofessional, and unacceptable. I will not only never bring a vehicle back to Bowser after my vehicle is repaired, but I will never buy a Chevrolet vehicle again. If this is the kind of dependability I can expect not only from their vehicles but from their service personnel as well, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

In March, I purchased a used 2018 Chevrolet Equinox in a rare diesel configuration. The problems began immediately after the sale, with a delay in receiving the title. While I was initially understanding of internal issues they cited, the situation became unacceptable when the dealership began ignoring my calls and then attempted to blame me, the customer, for their lack of communication. Frustrated, I escalated the matter to a manager, Tony, who seemed more receptive. Despite his involvement, the issues persisted to the point where my temporary tags expired. As a result, I was unable to drive the vehicle I had just purchased for two weeks, forcing me to use my wife's car. Because the vehicle was purchased in Pennsylvania and I live in Ohio, I was able to obtain Ohio plates myself. Officials at the Ohio DMV indicated that the procedures followed by this dealership were "highly irregular" and suggested the company did not know what it was doing, creating entirely avoidable problems for me. Even then, I still had not received my title. My calls for status updates continued to go unanswered. When the Ohio tags eventually expired, I was again left without a vehicle for another two weeks. After reaching out to Tony again, the title was finally sent--to my previous address. This required a special trip of over an hour to retrieve it. Approximately three weeks after finally resolving the title issue, the transmission on the 70,000-mile vehicle failed completely. The repair quote is $6,500 on a car I still owe $16,000 for. I have not towed anything or used the vehicle abnormally. Now, the dealership has completely ceased communication. My calls go unanswered, and a promised callback from another department was never fulfilled. I believe this entire experience demonstrates a severe pattern of negligence and bad faith. I strongly advise others to avoid this dealership. Furthermore, I urge Chevrolet corporate to investigate the practices at this facility, as this type of behavior is unacceptable for a brand with their reputation. This one-star review is unfortunately necessary and warranted.

The service person let me know that it would be two hours and the lunch hour before the repairs would be completed. I was surprised when he came back in just under 2 hours and said that the mechanic waited to take their lunch until my car was completed. I was amazed and the price was less than I would expect to pay elsewhere. I have always taken my cars for service here over the past 4 plus years I have lived here even though t is not the closest Chevy/GM dealer to me. It is because of service like this that I will continue to bring my vehicles back her to be serviced and they will get a nod for our next auto purchase.

He originally took my call about the Honda I saw online, and when I asked if it had a clean title, he not only texted me the answer, but a picture of the report. I planned on coming in the next day, but due to a change in plans, I was able to come that same day. He answered every text and informed me that he would tell me if the car had been sold, so we wouldn't drive up to find out then. He also let me know the policy on used cars due to how quickly they're moving right now- something that the guy at the other dealership never cared to do. As you can tell by now, I had a bitter taste in my mouth from my previous experience and expected every salesman to be the same. Tim was not. He went above and beyond, and every single person that we encountered was extremely friendly and eager to help. Tim was finishing up with another customer, so another guy pulled the car around. I didn't catch his name, but he was extremely friendly! Once Tim finished up, we took a test drive and all talked on the ride. Not once did I feel pressured into buying. Tim was so personable and laid back, and I got really good vibes from the business and atmosphere which made me purchase me awesome new Honda that day! He was straight forward with pricing and negotiation and it was such a painless process. Matt, the finance guy, was also super friendly and made the paperwork a breeze. He was so welcoming and never pressured me to purchase anything additional. I really appreciate that! For the first time in two weeks following my accident, I finally felt content. I miss my old civic like crazy, but I am so happy with how my experience went that I know I made the best choice by purchasing my car from McElwain. They call and say it will be another 1100.00$ because the muffler and tailpipe was rusted out. I WAS JUST INSPECTED!!!!!!! $800 for the muffler and $300 for labor. Well I had enough and told them I will get it fixed somewhere else. So when I picked up the truck the guy charges me $100 for a diagnostic on the truck which included checking the tread on the tires. Once again I JUST GOT IT INSPECTED!!!!!!!!! They didn't need to do that. I will NEVER step foot in that place again. I got the muffler piece myself at the auto parts for $164. and that was the more expensive one.

Come July of 2025, when the inspection was due, we take it in on a Saturday to have the inspection and emissions performed. The truck passed just fine. This is important to know, because one month later there was an oil leak on the truck. We took it back to Napleton, because we figured this would surely be under the warranty. Turns out it's not. They wanted almost $1,200 just to repair the oil pan under the truck. Apparently there was so much corrosion on the oil pan that it caused the leak to happen. We told them that the truck was just in for an inspection a month prior to this, and they couldn't care. Pretty pathetic that they're selling used vehicles with corrosion problems and who knows what else. Even more pathetic for this to not be included in the warranty. The cherry on top is the ridiculous price they wanted for the new oil pan and to install it. Another shop quoted us less than $500 to fix the issue, and even less if we provided the necessary part. Definitely get a vehicle somewhere else. I'm so sick of slimy, inconsiderate salesmen selling cars for so much money for them to have so many underlying issues. Shout out to Bob for being a creep and texting and calling us so often after the purchase that I had to block his number. He even texted me happy birthday on my birthday, which is just so weird. Fast forward to this years inspection I thought it would be a good time to use it. I scheduled my car inspection for 8:30 am and detailing the day. I was contacted at 1:00 pm to tell me it's ready. No way I thought. That was too quick. What happened to the 6-8 hours? When opened the door I could see that all they did was vacuum the interior and wash the exterior. No shampooing of the seats or carpet, no ArmorAll of the dash, door panels or arm rest. So much for their so-called detailing. It was obvious they didn't want to give me a fully detailed car. I've been going there for years, but that doesn't seem to matter nor should it. I WON'T BE GOING BACK. The lack of my business wont hurt them in the least. Cole made sure I understood the whole rebate, trade in with negative equity process so I wouldn't be blind sided by anything. Everyone at the dealership was very warm and welcoming. They introduced themselves with a handshake. I had a 2012 Dodge Avenger with over 133,000 miles and left with a 2020 jeep renegade with 22 miles !! In December of 2019 my friend, now fiance, wanted to trade the Jeep she had on a newer car. A friend from work talked her into going to this dealership because her family was personal friends with Floyd, the owner. So she goes and finds a used Jeep Wrangler that she likes. She signs the paperwork and as she had never bought a car on her own was very proud. This "family friend" failed to tell her that for about $1000 less than what she paid for her 2016 Jeep Wrangler she could have had a brand new one. Whatever, 25 year old girl going by herself to a dealership, what do you expect, right? So a few months go by and the Jeep starts stinking like antifreeze. I put the Jeep on the rack and immediately spot a pin hole in the radiator. She calls the dealership and it goes into the shop. Monica, service girl, calls and says that there is no leak and the Jeep is fine. I tell her that I have a picture of the leak and would gladly show the techs where it is. She proceeds to get angry and asks if I'm questioning her techs. Instead of fighting with this woman I let it go and take the jeep home. A month or so later we had to take it in because of a clunk in the rear axle and of course the antifreeze smell. Low and behold this time they found that leak that wasn't there before! But they were unable to find anything wrong with the rear end. So we pick it up again and go home. Then the Jeep started stalling when we start it. So every time we start it when it's cold the jeep stalls. It's been there 3 different times for this issue and has yet to be fixed. The straw that broke the camel's back started this week. My fiance, who is 8 months pregnant, was driving and the check engine light comes on and it won't accelerate over 40 mph. I use my scanner and pulled a code that I had never seen, P06dd. My scanner immediately says that this is a critical error and that the oil pump is not working properly. Back to the shop again. We get a call today and I had the opportunity to speak to the service manager. He tells me that the oil cap was loose and they tightened it up and reset the code. So instead of having Jeep run diagnostics while the code was on they just reset and told us to pick it up. Now my pregnant girlfriend is driving a jeep that has not been fixed and we're supposed to get snow. All of my vehicles are manual transmission so she cannot drive them and I guess they want us to wing it. So now I'm going to call Floyd out. Floyd, do you believe these are good business practices? Would you let your pregnant daughter drive an unsafe vehicle. Would you charge her more for a used car than a brand new one? You had told my significant other that you'd take care of her. Is this taking care of someone? I'm not just questioning your business, Floyd, I'm questioning your ethics and business practices and I'm going to post this on every message board I can find until you right this.
