Wonderful stay! I was really pleased with my choice and would definitely recommend the Hampton Inn…read moreLexington-Historic District. The service was great, a nice greeting when I checked in and the staff was friendly throughout the stay. Special shout out to Ginny at the front desk for her stellar service. The location is inviting, and my king bed & room with outside entry was spacious and clean. The room had all the Hampton amenities including a nice size TV, microwave, mini fridge, iron and full size ironing board, and a coffee maker. The bed was comfortable, and the room had a nice lounge chair. There was plenty of parking, and my room was in the back of the hotel (by the cabin) and the area was quiet and relaxing. The property has a lot of charm, especially the historic Cabin built in the mid-1700s, it catches the attention and is used as a special events space. The main house, Col Alto, is a beautiful Georgian-style brick home dating back to 1827. Both are rich in history and make the stay even more unique. I would absolutely stay here again and hear the historic rooms with bath tubs are the rooms to reserve. I was most pleased with the Kind bed & room.

The room was very clean and quiet allowing us to enjoy a peaceful sleep. Breakfast was as expected. Omelets, and make your own waffles. A cabin from the 1750's is on the grounds and is still used for small meetings. The staff did a great job and made my stay exceptional. There are a lot of small local shops in the area that makes walking the town a treat.

My wife and I stayed here on a Saturday evening as we were meeting friends in town for a basketball…read moregame at VMI. The staff at this inn are very nice and helpful. As a guest, you have a dedicated parking spot which is nice as this inn is located on Main street and you can walk to many restaurants, bars, and shops. Our room was quite nice. The only draw back is that this place is right on Main street across from a few W&L frats...so on this Saturday night you could hear noise from the street into the room... but not really bad. I would like to go back here and eat dinner in the restaurant at some point. My only negative- the bar in the hotel has beer on draft. However, apparently, it was a wine draft previously and no adjustments were made on carbonation. The beer foamed so badly that it was flat by the time the glass was full. This was true on the two different beers we tried. We switched to wine.. which was fine. In my opinion, they need to stop selling that beer until that is resolved.

I stopped here on my drive back from Savannah to Manassas for lunch…read more It was very slow on the Tuesday after Labor Day. A beautfiul sunny day and I wanted to find a restaurant with an outside patio. This was a great pick. I had the crab bisque which was excellent. For my main I had the seafood salad with grilled salmon, shrimp and scallops on a bed of greens with the raspberry vinergerret dressing, it was excellent. Katie took good care of me and kept my glass full of sweet tea. She told me the 'Livery' used to be a place where horses were boarded.
