They have some really gorgeous mums and fall decorations to pick from. I could absolutely go broke here. The kids can see the animals and get pony rides and there are hay rides for the entire family. They have cotton candy, freshly made kettle popcorn, pit beef and turkey, funnel cake fries and hand dipped ice cream. Out front and inside the market is fresh produce and all kinds of fall treats. The only down side is the not so friendly service which makes a difference. We may or may not stop in for the Christmas holiday.

We ended up purchasing 30+ shrubs and trees (a good bit of money) and one of the plants died within two weeks of planting - it was the same as three others, all planted in the same place, same watering, and same sun exposure. We called to ask if we could have this one plant replaced as this clearly was a plant issue vs. a care issue (matter of fact all other plants are thriving) the manager Todd said he would not guarantee his plants, said this was a care issue, and then hung up on my wife. We're planning on presenting a group of friends a new housewarming plant - a clone from our mother, Lady Martok (a klingon name for a warrior plant that we originally thought we dead when our cat pulled her out of her pot when she was a tiny, baby). This will be our first time growing in dirt. Lady Martok (our mother) and B'elanna (the one we're gonna smoke) are growing in coco. Needless to say, we needed a little education and the dude running the shop was more than willing to give it to us. Some people are born teachers. They teach you without making you feel like an idiot. This guy is like that. And he teaches a grow class at the shop. He helped us choose the right nutrients while simultaneously helping another customer choose the right pots and talking about why he shouldn't put rocks inside the pots (the roots don't like that). We definitely found our new supplies store. Bonus, it's in the same shopping strip as Taco Love Grill (see my review of that elsewhere on my yelp page)!!

The annuals and perennials here are healthy and hardy. They have beautiful hanging baskets, from fuchsias to geraniums, as well as native plants and pest resistant flowers. We purchased 3 pallets of bluestone from Genes with the large pieces showing at the top of the…read morepallets. We spent over $1000. When the pallets were delivered and my husband started the project and opened up the pallets, what was inside the pallets was rubble, small, and some medium sized pieces. Not many large pieces - maybe 15 in all. When I called to speak to the owner he said he didn't know anything about what was in the pallets. He I saw the same thing he saw. My suggestion to him - let people know before purchasing. Put a sign up. We assume, as the owner of Genes, that he knows what he is selling to the buyer. Now we need to buy more bluestone, and I won't buy from him. I'll go buy from somewhere who deals in stone. I suggested he give us two pallets for free since most of our product was worthless and said - "I won't do that". Oh and lastly - one of the bigger pieces had already been cut around a 4x4 post.
