i can't tell you enough, how much I appreciate Webbs! I have a large pond here (3,000) annd I purchase many items from them. Pumps ( I prefer the Aquascape 3000, runs for years, powerful, and uses about $13 a month for continuous use). I also get the UV light replacements, and all the other liquid accouterments for clean clear, healthy water, like Simply Clear, with Barley, and Algaefix (for problem hot summer string algae). Always professional, always comes quickly, always has someone to answer questions. I can't thank Chris enough for all his help answering questions about the water lilies I bought from them, on how to plant, substrate, etc. Chris, thank you so much!! One of the UV bulbs was DOA, but we didn't discover this immediately - who likes opening those horrible tubes? 3 months after ordering, we checked it and shocker! The company doesn't honor its products. 'Reach out to the manufacturer'? That's Webb's job. 'I apologize I cannot assist further than this'? (yes, that's an actual quote) That's bad business. The pump we'd ordered from another dealer had a manufacturing defect. Similar time frame, but within 2 days a replacement pump had been sent and a shipping label emailed for the dud. Consistent above and beyond service. Have shopped here for over four years. Each order is shipped right away and revcieved in a day or two to Virginia. The best experiance was yesterday when my Aquascape pump failed. Chris took time to advise me and direct me to a video to repair the pump. As it was by 4 PM the pump was not fixable. I spoke to chris again breifly. He advised me on a replacement pump. I placed the order at 4:10 PM. the order shipped at 5 PM and I had it in my hands by 3PM today. Exceptional service. I ordered two Gunnera manicata plants from Webb's water gardens and they arrived bone dry and wilted. There was no protective wrapping to hold moisture in so they wilted in transport. When I reached out about this I was made to feel like an idiot and that it was my fault they died. I placed them in water as per the website instructions, then moved them into pots and into a shelf on my pond. It was too late. This company failed to adequate protect the plants during shipping and accused me of being the cause of the plants death when is 100% evident they failed to ship them correctly. Be very careful...ordered sinking Koi food 33 pound bag....$200.00. they sent us floating ...clogs and damages skimmer and pump. it is more than apparent they sent the wrong product and would do nothing at all to try and help. Now they show the product Out Of Stock online....They were Out Of Stock when I ordered and sent floating instead. Terrible customer service and even the owner was rude. Please read carefully what you ar buying. I fully expected the pump to be included with the waterfall filter box. Over $300 for a black plastic box, hoses, filters, and some connections... I have been a customer of Webb's Water Garden for some years now. There has never been a problem with service or product quality. My last order of fish food was sent in an appropriate amount of time, but unbeknownst to me, I was a victim of "porch pirates". I called wondering where my product was and we discovered the theft. Webb's was awesome about replacing the stolen product and got it sent out immediately. Kudos to Webb's for their very good customer service. One stop shop for everything related to water gardens. Easily the best store in the Baltimore region -- with friendly advice offered through both the phone and person. During the summer months, the outdoor portion of the store is open, with a dozen gorgeous koi ponds. The only downside with Webb's is that the online prices are not available in person. Its often cheaper to have them ship the product to you (which is effectively next day anywhere in Baltimore) than to pick it up yourself. read more

I have been ordering products on line from Webbs Water Gardens for 3 years now. Twice I have had problems with items I ordered and the customer service has been OUTSTANDING! The problems were no fault of Webbs but they took care of them quickly and efficiently. Most recently I ordered a maintenance kit for my Laguna pond filter system. The new UV bulb was not working at all. I contacted Webbs and with out any trouble they sent me out a new bulb as quick as can be to take care of this problem. I was very impressed with the speed and efficiency at which they resolved this problem. Based on my experience with this company I have no hesitation recommending them. Webb's is by far one of the best online retailers we've had the pleasure doing business with. We've been ordering from Webb's for several yrs off & on, initially via Amazon. We order the 16.5 lb Tetra Pond Floating Koi Sticks on a monthly basis from early spring thru late fall. The product is always fresh and never crushed and their prices unbeatable! The cherry on top is the free standard shipping. I purchased a new sequence 750 centrifugal pond pump and primer pot for my 1000 gallon pond in Northern California through Webb Water Gardens. The products are outstanding as I am pleased with the outcome. My old sequence went out Sunday 10-17-21. That old pump lasted 12 years, amazing the quality of these products. I was able to use an air pump system to keep fish alive for the five or so days it was to take the new system to arrive. New products arrived on 10-25-21. Fitting between pump and pot was the wrong size. Ordered 2 inch received 1-1/2 inch to 2 inch wrong size fitting. After sending photos of fittings / pump and pot pre filter, salesman advised new parts on the way. Also small suction basket for water inlet arrived cracked. That was also being sent. On 10-30-21 parts arrive, wrong fitting, though along with photos sent earlier, a phone call explaining I needed fitting between pot and pump. 11-05-21 correct fitting showed with new basket. 17 days before up and running again. Fish survived. The products are outstanding, the packaging and customer relationship was not perfect. I will say sequence pumps are the best. My pond has operated for 22 years and this is only the third pump purchased. Thumbs up on the products. read more

I needed a specific part for my pond pump. Like anybody else I googled for the part I needed by the pump name and model number. Webb's website with a picture of the replacement part came up immediately. I hit the link and purchased the $5 (Rounding off dollar amounts for the sake of a quick read) part along with the $13 shipping for the part that is about the size of Bic Lighter. When the part arrived it was obviously the wrong size. I called Webb's to see why they shipped the wrong part and they admitted that they didn't sell parts for my pump. Really? Why were their keywords focused on my maker and model then?? The guy on the phone explained that I needed an RMA for a return. I filled out the form and essentially what it was is a purchase window for $13 worth of return shipping with UPS (the ONLY way that they accept returns). So, shipping it back would raise my out of pocket for this "bait & switch" from $18 to $26. My next call is to VISA to see if they will work with me on this. The worst! Customer Service is all about the customer serving the company. Will never order anything from this company again and will never recommend to any other customer I made the mistake of ordering a filter pad that was the wrong size. Webbs asked that the product be returned to them by UPS or FedEx (which cost $24!!) - even though they only used USPS to send it to me in the first place. Free shipping is a complete misnomer as they deducted shipping costs from the pittance of a refund. I was charged $43 for which I was refunded $8 and Webbs got back the product in original packaging which they can now turn around and resell to somebody else for the full amount. read more

My order for a Cal pump was delivered promptly by UPS but did not work. I drove 40 miles one way this morning to return the pump. The unsmiling lady who took the pump to a tank for a trial also could not get it to work. The unsmiling owner used a screwdriver to turn the motor. He also had a problem but then got it to operate. However the pump operated very noisy and I requested replacement. The owner refused to replace the motor and also refused to provide a refund as stated on the webbsite. The owner and the employees had very negative attitude and the fact that the company did not live up to the stated policy, I would not recommend to anyone to purchase from this company. I made an online purchase of two garden planters, at a price that I thought was decent. The sale went through, but they said something about a freight delivery, and they would deliver at my dock- I live in a home. When I contacted the company, they said I had to climb on the truck to pull off the items, which weighed 20 lbs, or it would cost me 75.00 more, I protested, and they said fine. Then they CANCELLED the order. I called back and said that I would come on board the truck, and they said no, that I caused too much difficulty for the company. Well, I searched online and found the same item on Wayfair.com for 30% cheaper, no shipping problems. So much for my First and ONLY experience with Webb's Water Gardens. read more

I Bought 6 items, 2 of them they do not have on stuck, they called me and cancel the other 2 without my permission , I told them I can wait until they have it on stock. Made a purchase through ebay and the item was defected. Even though the item has a 5 year warranty, when I contacted them (within two weeks of the purchase) they said I need to go through the manf as they do not warranty that item. I mentioned that that "no warranty by them" statement was not listed as part of the sale when I made the purchase, but Robert said no dice and no customer service was coming from him. the worst - when they had a retail store they were good - now they are the worst. I bought a pump there and it died three years in a row before a year was up.I went through 3 pumps before 3 years Tues it died after 11 months and I lost 20 huge koi - dead.Suffocated since it was so hot outside. Since they only do internet sales they wont even let you pick anything up at their store. They wouldnt even meet me outsde. So they shipped a new $500 pump that I had to pay for because they wont honor the warranty until they get the pos back. You would think that after losing all of these Koi they would be nice to me - NOPE. So even though I live nearby they shipped it and I asked them 10 times about the method. Well they shipped it 10 miles the cheapest way and I didnt get it until 830 PM Wed - yup thats how much they care. So more Koi suffocated and I am sure they just think it is the shippers fault. I'm sure Webb's is a great business, however they clearly don't understand how gift certificates work. I wanted to get a gift certificate for my grandpa, who loves his pond. Webb's offers gift certificates and in the description, it states that their gift certificates are delivered via email immediately following your order. I assumed that would mean, like most online companies do, they would email a printable gift certificate that you can give to a recipient. They don't do this. They only send you an order confirmation with all of the billing info on it that says "when checking out, use this gift certificate number. Well, who buys a GC for themselves?! How do you GIVE this as a gift? When I called and asked were the GC that the site claims to email me after purchasing was, their response was that they could mail me a hard copy, but couldn't email an actual GC. So, I guess they should update the info on their site to something closer to what you can actually expect to receive. Like "we'll email you an order confirmation that you bought a gift certificate, but don't expect to get anything that you can actually give as a gift." read more
