When the pallets were delivered and my husband started the project and opened up the pallets, what was inside the pallets was rubble, small, and some medium sized pieces. Not many large pieces - maybe 15 in all. When I called to speak to the owner he said he didn't know anything about what was in the pallets. He I saw the same thing he saw. My suggestion to him - let people know before purchasing. Put a sign up. We assume, as the owner of Genes, that he knows what he is selling to the buyer. Now we need to buy more bluestone, and I won't buy from him. I'll go buy from somewhere who deals in stone. I suggested he give us two pallets for free since most of our product was worthless and said - "I won't do that". Oh and lastly - one of the bigger pieces had already been cut around a 4x4 post.

Today I called and received a truck full of enriched soil. The soil is clean as I knew it would be. The driver was such a pro, he drove that big dump truck backwards into a very narrow driveway and not to mention it is an unforgiving city street. LITERALLY,,,, from the time I told him where I needed the soil and the time he was done and I was signing the invoice was under a minute. I gave the driver a $10.00 tip to get himself lunch, unfortunately that's all I had. I was digging for a $20 but came up short. He saved me a lot grief by being able to maneuver into the driveway Thanks you folks for being awesome to do business with. Steve G.

Delivery driver was prompt and dropped the items in the right spot. I am very happy with the mulch! This is my first time ever getting soil or mulch delivered as I usually get the bags from a big box store. I was super bummed about the top soil blend which I was told was 75% top soil & 25% blended compost. I originally wanted to get leaf compost but the lady said it might be too much nitrogen for raised garden beds. The blended top soil was very heavy on the clay and had random plastics in it. Items like planet identification tags and stuff like that. When I started to put the dirt in pots, it got very hard when it got wet. I decided to wait until mid gardening season to see how to plants did in this soil. Although I amended this soil with manure and other nutrient rich soil, the plants are not doing well. I still plant to order from this company but I'll just stick to the mulch.

We're sure as shit gonna grow. And it's our mission to convince our friends to grow, as well. We're planning on presenting a group of friends a new housewarming plant - a clone from our mother, Lady Martok (a klingon name for a warrior plant that we originally thought we dead when our cat pulled her out of her pot when she was a tiny, baby). This will be our first time growing in dirt. Lady Martok (our mother) and B'elanna (the one we're gonna smoke) are growing in coco. Needless to say, we needed a little education and the dude running the shop was more than willing to give it to us. Some people are born teachers. They teach you without making you feel like an idiot. This guy is like that. And he teaches a grow class at the shop. He helped us choose the right nutrients while simultaneously helping another customer choose the right pots and talking about why he shouldn't put rocks inside the pots (the roots don't like that). We definitely found our new supplies store. Bonus, it's in the same shopping strip as Taco Love Grill (see my review of that elsewhere on my yelp page)!!

I understand the stresses of work and managing a company, I wanted to give him a heads up our house was skipped last week and potentially this week too.
