The rooms are clean, brightly colored, and engaging... and there even is an indoor playground! My daughter has been there since she was 4 months and from day 1, I felt extremely comfortable. Miss Lucy in the infant room is amazing! My daughter has grown and developed so quickly because of the infant activities they do in the classroom. They don't just let the babies sit around all day and do nothing. Always learning, moving, interacting, and having fun! Thank you to the staff for everything you do to make our kids happy and safe!!

Yellowpages for instance she gets one bad review and days later she had FOUR positive reviews within the same day! Whoa must be a very popular place to get all those reviews in the same day seeing 3 of them were edited. A little suspicious.. it's quite interesting if you read every other negative comment they all say the Director is the issue. Perhaps she just needs to be more respectful and there wouldn't be so many negative comments about her. Then she wouldn't have to post all the fake reviews to cover herself. Save yourself that hassle and go to ANY other school! If you would like to see more realistic reviews, search on the Shelton Facebook pages, and put Apple Tree. You will see what people truly think about the school.

They ensure success by fostering an environment that helps children learn and grow. Their dedication to the children is unsurpassed. I am a mother of 2 children, who are both currently enrolled in the school. I cannot say enough about Susanna Wesley (aka SWS) and it's staff. One of the most unique attributes of the school is the dedicated Music and Movement program, in which children participate through music and physical activity each day they are in school. The teacher who runs that program is an absolute jewel and SWS is so blessed to have her on board. As a parent, I feel welcomed and a true part of my child's early childhood education. I know my children are getting the best care and academic foundation to prepare them for elementary school. I love that there are dedicated classrooms for each level (3 yr olds, 4 yr olds,etc.). No more than 12 students per class. I thought that was a huge plus because the smaller classrooms allow the children to focus and build relationships with other children. I have noticed how much my children have grown. They are confident, independent and respectful of others. Though I'd like to take full credit on that, I know much of those skills have been gained from the caring teachers at SWS. I encourage you to contact the director and tour the Susanna Wesley School. You will not be disappointed!!!!

Cindy and all her teachers were wonderful with the children. The only thing I can say about not receiving phone calls is that it can get pretty hectic with all the kids, teachers, parents, etc. trying to speak, pay their bills and collect all their children's supplies / projects. It is unfortunate that not all of the applicants aren't accepted. I can only suggest you give it a try, and hopefully your child will enjoy it as much as my granddaughter & her parents did.

She…read morewasn't enrolled, however, because of the poor management and organization of this establishment. After a tour of the facility back in April for September enrollment we informed Cindy we were interested and she said she'd provide the paperwork to sign up. I gave her the benefit of the doubt after not hearing anything for weeks as I assumed the end of the school year through June would be hectic. I then reach out via email and hear nothing for a few more weeks. After three weeks, I finally receive a call from Cindy informing me the spot had been filled as she was waiting to hear from my wife and I regarding the enrollment. Are you kidding? If that were that case, then why not reach out to us before filling a spot? Why not provide a simple call or email or anything? She says it was our fault for telling her we needed to think about it during the tour as this was on her notes. I can assure you she took no notes during our visit nor did she even remember my child's name when she called. As you tour the facility and speak to Cindy just ask yourself is this person organized? Is the place well run? Again, I can't speak to the care of the children here, but, after this experience I will be sure to keep away. I don't trust a disorganized person to manage the care of my child, the most precious thing in my life. I'll search elsewhere. You might want to as well.

Good evening, I am writing as a deeply angry and disgusted…read moreparent. Today, when I picked up my son Leonardo, I was informed he had SLEPT ON THE COLD TILE FLOOR because he was "hot." That explanation alone is UNACCEPTABLE, but it gets worse. He was WET when I picked him up this afternoon--his hair, his pants, his coat--completely soaked. And when I asked why, not a single staff member could give me an answer. "I don't know" is NOT an acceptable response when a child is returned to their parent in that condition. The lack of accountability, the carelessness, and the indifference are beyond disappointing--they are DISGUSTING. As someone with experience working in multiple daycares and schools, I know that if a 3-year-old refuses to sleep on a cot, you don't allow them to lay on a cold, dirty floor like an animal. You comfort them, you redirect them, and you provide care. The fact that this didn't happen is a complete failure on your part. Even a dog gets a bed. My son deserved far better than this. And yes, I will say it--had Leonardo not been a young Black boy, I believe this situation may have been handled with more compassion and urgency. He was neglected. There's no other word for it. Let me ask you this: How would you feel if you found out your child took a nap on the cold floor? Or picking him up wet and not exactly given an actual clear explanation ? If he was uncomfortable, if he was upset, if something happened--WHY wasn't I called? As his mother, I should have been informed immediately. Instead, he was left in that condition, and no one took responsibility. This is not just poor care. This is unacceptable. This is disgusting. This is neglect. Leonardo will NOT be returning to your center. I will also be reporting this incident to corporate and taking further steps as necessary. I expect a written explanation, not excuses. Do better!!!!! His teachers have been phenomenal and so patient with him. Special thanks to Mariah and Diamond who had him in toddlers, Amy in Twos and Alyssa and Rachel in EP. The teachers and assistants at the school are superb. In as little as two weeks, my preschooler's vocabulary has improved tenfold and he is now completely engaged in learning. It is apparent that the teachers here give a lot of thought to and take great pride in creating their lesson plans. As for my toddler, the individualized attention he receives here has greatly improved his cognitive and fine motor skills. Each day, parents receive a report that includes daily activities such as personal care (meals, naps, etc.), curriculum, and photos. This is very special for parents as it keeps us completely connected during the work day. Administratively, the school is run flawlessly. The Directors are professional, courteous and responsive to the needs of the children and concerns of parents. My only wish is that The Goddard School went beyond Pre-K! The level of care, compassion, individualized attention and age appropriate curriculum at Goddard Monroe is truly impressive and so appreciated by our family. We came to Goddard from another highly regarded center nearby, and I am so grateful we did. It's apparent to me that the teachers like what they are doing, and that transfers to how they interact with the kids. Both of our boys grew more fond of and attached to their teachers at Goddard in 2 weeks than they did in the previous year at their old school. The daily updates, pictures and reports are a nice way to feel connected to the kids during the day. It gives us great info to be able to engage our kids in conversation about their day. Along with the teachers, the Directors are amazing as well. They are accessible and have truly taken the time to get to know the kids. They also have their own kids in the program, which speaks volumes. Overall, I cannot recommend Goddard enough and we are so grateful to have found such amazing people to care for our children.
