The servers were so very kind when my six-year-old dropped his cone on the floor. They immediately replaced it and gave me a cup so he wouldn't worry about dropping it a second time. Such a clean fresh atmosphere in the shop as well as outdoor deck. Many people were assembled under the trees, enjoying their ice cream.

Rosie's Handcrafted Ice Cream - A Sweet Win in WNY!…read more If happiness came in a cone, it would be from Rosie's Handcrafted Ice Cream! We circled the block twice before finding it (small lot in the back with maybe 10 spaces, or street parking nearby), but once we walked through those doors--it was game on! As a proud Buffalo Bills fan, I couldn't pass up the chance to try Josh Allen's favorite flavor -- Pistachio, aka "The Joshalicious." My brother joined in, both of us going full waffle-cone mode, while my sister did her own thing with the Oreo Milk flavor. Every flavor looked incredible--honestly, there's not a bad choice in the bunch. A huge shout-out to Chloe, our amazing server! Friendly, patient, and full of good vibes, she made us feel like regulars from the start. She even let me take a video for this review--thank you, Chloe! We sat outside on an unseasonably warm afternoon, enjoying our cones and chatting with other Bills Mafia members visiting from Utah & Indiana. Turns out, we all came to town for the same reason--and while the game didn't go our way, this stop was an absolute win. If you're anywhere near Western New York, make sure Rosie's is on your list. Fantastic flavors Friendly staff Laid-back, neighborhood vibe This isn't just ice cream--it's a little scoop of WNY happiness.

The Pink Cow is my happy place. It's small, yes, but mighty--and filled with frozen joy and sugar-fueled chaos in the best way possible. There's plenty of outdoor seating (umbrellaed, because sunburns are rude), and ample parking for all your impulse sundae needs. For the efficient ice cream warriors among us, there's even a drive-thru. I've never used it, mostly because I live in fear of dripping soft serve into my cup holders and explaining that to my mechanic. Also? I'm a people-watcher. Give me a bench, a waffle cone, and a toddler in pajamas and cowboy boots blowing bubbles, and I'll be emotionally wrecked thinking about my grandkid on another continent. Worth every tear. Also, let's talk about my ordering process: I get a large. Then I go home and casually tell my husband it was a medium. Don't judge me, Janice, we all have our coping mechanisms and mine is portion-size denial. When my husband joins me? It's date night, baby. First, The Pink Cow. Then a romantic stroll (read: shuffle) through the Tractor Supply at the back of the parking lot, where we look at baby chicks and he buys me a sundress (See my Tractor Supply review for those details). You can keep your rooftop martinis and overpriced tapas--I'm living my best small town romance novel life, and it includes fudge swirl and farm supply fashion. So yeah, get the ice cream. Live your life. Stretch the truth about the size if you must. The Pink Cow is worth it.

They graciously swapped chocolate soft serve for vanilla, added the peanut butter sauce core, dunked it in chocolate dip then coated the outside in crushed peanut butter cups. What's not to like? It's also fun to wander around eyeing all the candies and chocolates... excellent gift ideas. On this visit, my daughter and I split a large Arctic swirl with brownies pieces and swapped the vanilla custard for eggnog. Best decision I've made all season, no regrets! The only tiny downside: the signs. So. Many. Signs. Rules everywhere--no ice cream in the chocolate area, carry a basket so nothing melts or breaks, no glass outside, clean your trays, etc. I get it (I, too, am a bit of a control freak), but it does start to feel like ice cream comes with a user manual. That said, clearly they've been burned before... or maybe I just recognize my own people. Either way, worth it for the custard alone. And make sure you plan to go right home. This way, you can buy some of their hard ice cream to keep in your freezer.
