The building is an old one on Main Street, decorated in the Roycroft style and font: Minimalist and decorative. The line for ice cream moved quickly: The women behind the counter worked hard to fill orders, and most people knew what they wanted. We chose scoops of chocolate "Bada bing Bada bourbon" in a cup, and two scoops of gelato in a waffle cone. The portions were enormous! I've never seen an ice cream so large! The total was about $15 for four scoops, and a small upcharge for the waffle cone. This is great value! The flavors were so good we were already making plans to return by the time we left. A word about the layout: There are chair on the front lawn; the front porch and inside have tables and chairs. A single unisex bathroom serves everyone; in summer there can be a line. Most of the people there at that hour were young families; the strollers and prams parked near the stairs. Is there anything cuter than seeing a toddler enjoying an ice cream?

We made the trip out to try it for the first time and weren't really interested in any of the flavors. Secondly, they don't sell plain chocolate or vanilla or any soft serve, so if you don't like any of the unique flavors, there's nothing plain to choose instead. A nice place, but probably won't be coming back unless I happen to pass by since it's not worth making the trip and risking not liking the flavors.

The Pink Cow is my happy place. It's small, yes, but mighty--and filled with frozen joy and sugar-fueled chaos in the best way possible. There's plenty of outdoor seating (umbrellaed, because sunburns are rude), and ample parking for all your impulse sundae needs. For the efficient ice cream warriors among us, there's even a drive-thru. I've never used it, mostly because I live in fear of dripping soft serve into my cup holders and explaining that to my mechanic. Also? I'm a people-watcher. Give me a bench, a waffle cone, and a toddler in pajamas and cowboy boots blowing bubbles, and I'll be emotionally wrecked thinking about my grandkid on another continent. Worth every tear. Also, let's talk about my ordering process: I get a large. Then I go home and casually tell my husband it was a medium. Don't judge me, Janice, we all have our coping mechanisms and mine is portion-size denial. When my husband joins me? It's date night, baby. First, The Pink Cow. Then a romantic stroll (read: shuffle) through the Tractor Supply at the back of the parking lot, where we look at baby chicks and he buys me a sundress (See my Tractor Supply review for those details). You can keep your rooftop martinis and overpriced tapas--I'm living my best small town romance novel life, and it includes fudge swirl and farm supply fashion. So yeah, get the ice cream. Live your life. Stretch the truth about the size if you must. The Pink Cow is worth it.

It came with rice and salad with your choice of toppings and a ton of small sauces. All the sauces are delicious, especially the Tzatziki. The meats were tender with some crispy edges that gave a nice texture to each bite. I also ordered a tikka chicken sandwich with lemon pepper fries, a 4 pk of falafel with hummus, a mango Lassi and extra pita. I enjoyed it all. The chicken was literally pieces of thigh meat marinated and grilled with your choice of toppings and a special sauce. The chicken was extremely tender and flacorful. I've never had lemon pepper seasoning on my fries but i certainly will now. Yum. The falafel wasnt overly dry and had good flavor along with the hummus. The mango Lassi was tart yet sweet and helps you to digest everything! I will 100% order from here again!

My partner ordered for us saying it's going to be a great lunch, and it was. He tried this place before. The large option was a perfect size for two. It's one of those restaurants where the best way to order is through their website. Or, just look at what they offer and which combo fits your taste buds the best. It would speed up the order process as well (at least for me;). I am not someone who can evaluate Middle Eastern cuisine from extensive experience or frequent consumption, but you should definitely visit Papa's Halal Gyro. It's truly worth it. Then judge for yourself. Yes, the garlic sauce is very intense but delicious. Just don't have it before a business meeting or if you are planning to have a rendezvous soon after your meal. The best, find a partner who loves garlic as much as you do ;). Next time, I'll try White Home/Dill Sauce with just a splash of Mint Sauce, and maybe a little Garlic Sauce on the side.

I remembered seeing them on the local news stations and had read they make their own ice cream, so I had to grab a couple scoops to try them out. What a delicious way to round out the day! I walked into around 8:30pm on a Wednesday to a bright and trendy interior with several tables and chairs, as well as a table that ran along the windows with stools to sit at. And if there wasn't a spot inside, there were tables and chairs outside in front of the shop as well. There was a line that wrapped near the entrance but it moved surprisingly quickly since there were only two young women scooping and cashing customers out. I had enough time to look over their flavors and narrow down the two that I wanted. The young woman who prepared my order was friendly and pleasant and did an excellent job scooping - My scoops were plenty big; they did not skimp on portions. What did I order? I went with a medium (two scoops) with the bottom scoop flavor being their Cookies & Cream and the top scoop flavor being their Salted Caramel Crunch (homemade crunch pieces folded into their signature salted caramel base), in a waffle cone. The ice cream lived up to the hype! It was so creamy and jam-packed with Oreo cookie pieces and crunchy caramel pieces. Both flavors were excellent, but if I had to pick one that I liked more, I'd say Cookies & Cream. The ice cream itself was like a cookies & cream base with HUGE Oreo cookie pieces rolled into it, the flavor was crazy good! The waffle cone tasted fresh and held both scoops with ease, worth the slight upcharge. For the high-quality ingredients, homemade flavors, and generous portion size, I felt the price I paid was reasonable. Big Papa's Creamery was an excellent experience! Pleasant staff, a happy & bright shop, and amazing homemade ice cream, I couldn't ask for more. I'm already thinking about what flavor I want to try next with my scoop of Cookies & Cream when I stroll through downtown Lancaster again.
