I got a flat tire on my bicycle at 4:00 a.m. it's been $10 on a cab ride to come to Essoon Broward…read moreand Davie Street in Vancouver BC, which is the closest station around when trying to use the air pump it would not accept any change due to the fact that it is jammed and the coin slot nor would it accept my tap card which I called and confirmed with my bank was active and working properly there's no button on it to push and I was told by several people that to ask the staff inside and they can turn it on when I did they were very unpleasant and told me to go away this is wrong, no? It is now 4:35 I'm soaking wet cold have several ways to pay but I'm not even being allowed in the store now I have not made a fuss than anything wrong or sworn or anything I'm being unfairly treated .

I'm only giving this gas station two stars because of its convenient location (I think this is the…read moreonly gas station remaining in the downtown Vancouver core) and because the gas pumps worked. Other than these two facts, this station really tanked (no pun intended). The gal working the counter could not have been any slower in serving customers if she tried. Despite the long line of people waiting to be helped (and the line was ever growing, too), this lady was SO slow, as if she was moving in slow motion at times, and acted....numbed in her affectation to customers. Like, she didn't care to be there, and she didn't care who knew it. It was if it was a major endeavor to take the bills from each customer and slowly, ever so slowly, check each one out, arrange them in order in some way (turning some to face upwards), and then slowly put each one in the till. And the line of customers was getting longer and longer. Didn't matter. The place could be on fire and this lady would be slowly arranging the dollar bills..... Argh. Finally it was my turn at the counter. I asked to put "x" amount of gas in my car and informed her which pump I was at. And since there were posted signs everywhere advertising a few candy bar with fill-up, I also brought a candy bar with me. She said the candy was only free with 30L fill up. I asked if $35 of gas would qualify, and she said she didn't know, I'd have to fill up my car and come back with the receipt (waiting in this crazy slow line again? WTH?). What kind of half-ass promotion is this? (I decided to forget about this "free" chocolate bar. I probably don't need it, anyhow. Still, the principal of the matter irks me....). Horrible customer service and horrible "promotional" advertising.

DO NOT go here, even just to use the washroom. I was in the area waiting for my car to get fixed…read moreand had to use the washroom badly. I went in to inquire about needing a key. They said I didn't need one so I went out around back and it was locked so I waited and waited, waited, and I waited more. I decided to go to the Chevron to use theirs. As I was gong I turned back and saw who I thought was one of them coming out of the washroom so I went back. When he saw me coming, he shut the door which I thought was odd (keep in mind there was NO mention of a time out button to open the washroom). I went to the other station and theirs was out of order and came back. The door was still locked so I waited again. I finally went in and told them the door had been locked for a very long time (still no mention of a time out open the door button). I mentioned that I had seen someone coming out and that I thought it was one of the staff but not sure. Instead of explaining about the button to let me in, they got extremely angry with me yelling and accusing me of treating them badly. Said I could use the washroom but to never come back. I went out and it was locked. I told them it was locked and he said rudely. "someone is in there". Then I explained that I just was wondering why he didn't let me in the washroom" They got really rude with me, saying things like "you watch too much TV" and "I'm having fun right now". Then he said "you can use the washroom now. I did and left in tears, feeling completely discriminated against not to mention GASLIT!! I beg you to avoid this rude upsetting place. If I could post 0 stars or negative 5 plus stars I would.

A 12 year old with a garden hose could have done a better job. I'd give it a zero stars if that was possible.

I tried to buy gas today. The credit card reader didn't work so I went to prepay for my gas. The…read moreyoung man at the cash would not serve me through the little window and motioned me to come into the tiny little store. He didn't have a mask on so I left and bought my gas elsewhere.

Why you should take your business somewhere else:…read more I recently exchanged an empty propane tank for a full tank at the Burrard Chevron. I always have 2 tanks - one as a back-up for the BBQ. The propane tank sat on my deck for 2 weeks, unopened. I was out of the country the second week and when I returned I noticed that the propane tank still smelled of propane and was lighter. The tank was clearly leaking. I took the leaky tank back to Burrard Chevron and asked to exchange it. But the manager refused to exchange the leaky tank because I had not returned it within one day. The tank says: No refunds - Exchanges Only. Nowhere does it say that leaky tanks must be returned within one day for an exchange. To make matters worse: he refused to give me an empty tank to replace the one that I exchanged! So now I have to buy a new propane tank and the total cost to me is about $100 (the cost of the propane in the leaky tank from Burrard Chevron; the cost of a new propane tank; and the cost of a propane fill). You can buy gas and get propane at a lot of gas stations. So take your business somewhere else. The customer service at Burrard Chevron is terrible.
