Over recent years, I have found Circle K is my go-to gas station, and I pass this particular…read morelocation often on the way home. They are open around the clock (24 hours, 7 days a week), and I have found they are a convenient location for many other things. I have usually filled up on gas without going inside though I have occasionally went inside to redeem free items that I had won through the many Circle K promotions, I have often redeemed them there (after filling up on gas, of course). While I haven't used most of these, this particular location has gas, diesel, public restrooms, an ATM, coffee, froster, roller grill, sloche, fresh food, hot dogs, Easy Pay, Inner Circle, Amazon Pickup, a Gift Card Mall, and Circle K gift cards. While I am generally happy with the layout of this location, the staff are good at troubleshooting, and most items are in stock regularly. Sometimes there are issues with one or more of the gas stands out of order though I rarely have issues when I am there. Enroll today with Easy Pay (https://www.circlek.com/easy-pay) and save 30 cents off per gallon for the first 100 gallons and 10 cents off per gallon thereafter. You can also join Inner Circle (https://inner-circle.circlek.com) and save 25 cents per gallon on your first 5 fill-ups. You can then get rewarded in many ways with deals and personalized perks. You can save 3 cents per gallon every day, and after spending $500 on fuel, food, and beverages, get upgraded to a Premium Member and save 5 cents per gallon. There are also sweepstakes and other special promotions (which I won a Circle K gift card last year), and I also receive text messages when the Diamondbacks strike out batters at home (for a free item or gas discount). I also receive 25-40% off every now and then, and I am notified with a text. If you get the Upside app, you can also earn back up to 20 cents (or more!) off per gallon of gas and even at restaurants and groceries. Feel free to register at https://upside.app.link/NW7BQ to get an extra 15 cents per gallon back on your first purchase. You can even use this AND the Inner Circle or Easy Pay offers at the same time as long as you register a credit card in advance. Needless to say, I save a lot and get free items regularly from Circle K, and this is one of my more regular locations.

Their gas has no additives to be rated Top Tier. Consumer Reports recommends using Top Tier gas…read morebecause it improves engine performance. I also don't like how Circle K has a gas station monopoly in the Phoenix Metro area. Their over inflated profit per gallon should not be allowed in my opinion. There are only so many gas station locations allowed in an area. Therefore, much like the telephone company, their prices should be regulated when they've eliminated a majority of the competition. Ultimately, I recommend getting your gas at any other gas station that sells Top Tier gas. Costco, Sinclair, QT, etc.

While this is not the regular Costco Gasoline location we frequent, we do occasionally stop there, as we did this weekend. I often go with her because she doesn't like to fill her own gas tank. We'll get in the shortest line and stick with the etiquette of having two cars move up at a time. It doesn't matter which side the gas tanks are on, since the hose is long enough to reach the far side of your vehicle. They offer regular and premium gasoline, and there is an attendant available on weekdays from 6 AM to 10 PM, Saturdays from 6 AM to 8:30 PM, and Sundays from 6 AM to 7:30 PM. Simply honk for assistance. We have never needed help and have always found the process to be easy and the machines working. We also appreciate the discounted gas prices we get as Costco members. You can go to https://www.costco.com/gasoline.html to find gas station locations, learn more about Kirkland Signature™ Fuel, find out more about Cash Back Rewards, and find out more about the gas stations in general. As the website shares, if you get the Costco Anywhere Visa® Card by Citi or the Costco Anywhere Business Visa® Card by Citi, you can earn 5% back on Costco gas purchases when using one of these credit cards. You can earn 4% back on other gas purchases and EV charging, and 3% on restaurants and eligible travel, 2% on Costco purchases, and 1% on any other purchases. To be more specific, once you are a Costco member, you can purchase gas at Costco Gasoline locations. There are plenty of items, including groceries, that you can often purchase in bulk. The website now also includes a "treasure hunt," which is simply a rotating selection of items marked down or priced at extra value for a limited time. There is also a food court with very reasonably priced items, including the long-time favorite of a jumbo hot dog and drink for only $1.50, which my grandfather and I used to love to get together. There is also travel, photos, pharmacy, optical, and more. Plus, you can get some tasty samples and even buy discounted gift cards. So joining Costco is about a lot more than just the gas, though that's certainly an attractive added bonus for members!

I am not a fan of the gas price setting Circle K's market share of gas stations in the Valley. However, this specific location is their new large format gas station and as the result is clean inside and around the property. They usually have squeegees at the pumps, but the windshield washing solution reservoir is usually almost empty. They have a fairly large beer/seltzer selection in their walk in cooler. They have a mix of Circle K branded products ranging from candy to beef jerky I enjoy their Mountain Mix of nuts and chocolate. Their coffee is ok. I usually only get a fountain soda. If you have the Circle K app, there are frequent deals, like buy 10 foundation drinks and get one free or $2 credit on select holidays (most recent was tax day 4/15) and your birthday. Employees are friendly, but there is usually a short line at the checkout due to the popular location in Old Town Scottsdale.
