This location, however, was well-prepared, with multiple wet floor signs placed as a precaution to keep customers safe. While shopping for some snacks and a drink, the same employee took the time to compliment my jacket while I was checking out. It felt like a genuine conversation, just a small act of kindness, not a forced customer service tactic. Unrelated to this review, he mentioned wanting to go shopping, so I told him about some thrift shops downtown that he might like. While the store itself might not be the best 7-Eleven in all of San Diego, that positive interaction is exactly why I'm leaving a five-star review. I wasn't in the best mood when I walked in due to my off-putting experience down the road, but the gentleman working that night (I unfortunately didn't get his name) helped turn my night around. The line was long since I went at lunchtime but it was efficient and moving. When I exited the wash it looked like all of the drying stations were full so I just waited a few minutes and one opened up. While I was there staff were replacing towels and picking up trash keeping everything neat and orderly. All of the staff were friendly throughout the process. Because of this experience, I would definitely recommend Soapy Joes car wash.

He still had the cash in his hands when he rung me up (this is where I think he steals it) Twenty dollars paid in cash for gas and when I went to the pump the gas was already pumped. When I went back to get it reset so I could get my gas I was told no you already got your gas. I was brought back to the managers office and we looked at the cameras for twenty minutes while I was having a panic attack and in tears. I was given every excuse under the sun that it's my gas meter and that I was there long enough to get my gas. I have been since trying to get ahold of upper management. A manger from another location called, but was already told the story and was partial to the other manager. Nothing was resolved and as of now still waiting to hear from someone. The other store manager will not give me the number he is calling to call corporate.

In any event, there are about 11 gas stalls (maybe 12), and the station itself is clean, but the convenience/paying part is tiny and not much room for more than a person or two. The app makes it super easy to select your stall and pay without much effort. So far, this gas station was the cheapest of all Chevrons in the area. Recommend if in the area.
