TLDR: One employee intentionally gives us the wrong cigarettes every time after being asked multiple times to stop. The same employee touched my girlfriend's bare stomach AFTER she told him we are in a pandemic and he needs to keep his distance.
The bald guy:
Every. Single. Time. This guy grabs the wrong cigarettes. After months of this I expressed frustration and he says "I am just trying to be funny" and I say "it is definitely not funny, it wasn't funny the first dozen times and it's still not funny now. You know what I am asking for. Give me the right thing." Absolutely clear as day asking him to stop.
Enter the pandemic. He refuses to wear a mask. He is not shy that he does not buy the pandemic thing. They have a register with plexi and one without. He always uses the one without. After grabbing the wrong smokes again, my partner asks for the right ones. He attempts to give her a hug. She clearly states to him he has no right to make this attempt if we aren't in a pandemic but we are and she wears a mask and has an autoimmune issue and those advances are frightening and unacceptable. And she passed this information along to an incredible staff member there who said they would pass this along to the boss.
At this point we have started to avoid this spot. We'll drive further just to not risk interacting with this guy. But it's the closest spot to the house, so she gave it another shot. He was working. And this time he reaches out and touches her bare midriff!!! How dare you, you disgusting human. A woman has already made it expressly clear to keep your distance and you touch her?!
Once again we need smokes. I go back in. Looks like the shift change and I might not have to see this guy. No such luck. While distancing and waiting in line he tells me "You don't have to wear that mask, man." I respond,"Yes, I do. It's state mandated." The mandate for Washington County went into effect 4 data prior. And again he grabs the wrong cigarettes. I get loud, slam my purchase down on the end cap, and they tell me I am 86'd for calling this creep out for touching my partner.
(On the way out, the same staff member who actually listened to my partner's story before, approached me and took the time to listen and take my name and number. I won't call this person out by name for fear of retribution being taken out on them. But it was dealing with people like that kept us coming back when he wasn't on shift.)
Do not support this business. They have made the least amount of progress toward protecting their staff from Covid-19 allowed (if they even hit THAT mark). And they continue to employ a staff member with rapist tendencies.
I was going to hold off on posting this because I saw my number being passed off to who I believe is the manager as I was leaving. But, I have yet to hear anything so I want to warn any woman that goes in there that there is a staff member who does not care if you tell him not to touch you, and even if you are 100% clear about that, he might do it anyway. read more
