She scratched off the lotto ticket herself and messed up the scanner so he wasn't able to get the money he won because of HER mistake . I guess when we pulled off the highway, we didn't realize that Paris has a nice, new, chain-y part of town. There's a freakin' convenience store with a Denny's in it on the other side of town. But we ended up over here, and we were able to get gas. The ladies' room was probably more like a broad's room, but that's okay. It wasn't too bad. The clerks were nice. I bought a large number of Hershey bars (for s'mores) and they didn't once look at me askance. In fact, this is that particular brand of small town friendly where the clerk made me seem silly for digging around in my pocketbook for a penny. He assured me he could cover it. I sense the attitude might have been slightly different at the combination Taco Bell-Pizza Hut-Denny's-Quik Trip.
