Someone please explain to me why they handed me a torta that was basically the size of an In-N-Out Double-Double And this was about $11! I've had a torta from here before, back when they first opened, and I remember it being MUCH bigger and actually feeling like it was made with some effort. This one was just... super MID. For $11, I expected a decent-sized torta that would actually fill me up. Instead, I got a tiny sandwich that honestly felt more like a snack. Such a shame because I remember it being way better when they first opened.

We watched Kelsey as she was handling the big bag of Funyuns. She was pushing down on the bag and she asked me "Do you want to grab another bag? This one has a hole in it." While I was grabbing the replacement bag, she explained to my partner that she handles bags of chips so much that she pretty much knows what they're supposed to feel like. Honestly, my mind wasn't registering what she was saying. I thought she was telling me to grab another bag of Funyuns because the one I chose has less Funyuns! Anyway...the fountain selection is your standard Pepsi products. Nice selection of adult beverages, juice, chocolate milk, OJ, sodas in the cooler. Over by the window, there's a separate selection of cold energy drinks if you're into that sorta thing. Variety of snacks, including world famous Alien Beef Jerky from Baker, CA! You know, the spot that you should stop at to stock up on excellent jerky to and from Vegas! Thanks Kelsey for making our morning! I purchased alcohol for an event and later realized we had purchased far more than we needed. The…read morealcohol was completely unopened, intact, and in the same condition as when it was purchased. I attempted to return it, only to be told that they do not accept alcohol returns. What was frustrating was the lack of any clear policy to support that decision. I asked the manager and the employee at the register to point me to the store's written return policy or explain the specific rule prohibiting the return. Instead, I was essentially told, "That's what they told me when I started working here." When I asked the manager for clarification, the response was essentially, "Because I said so." I even contacted corporate, and they gave me a different answer--that alcohol could be returned and literally did a Google search to tell me it could not be returned. However, my understanding is that California law does not categorically prohibit a retailer from accepting a return of unopened alcohol. I also contacted the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC), which confirmed that licensed businesses can return alcoholic beverages to distributors under certain circumstances, such as when a business closes. At the end of the day, if the company has a policy prohibiting returns of unopened alcohol, that's their choice. But customers should be able to see or be directed to an actual written policy rather than being given "they told me" or "because I said so" as the explanation. The issue isn't necessarily the refusal to accept the return--it's the lack of transparency, knowledge, and professionalism when a reasonable customer asks a straightforward question. That experience told me quite a bit about the level of customer service and management at this location.
