This is my go - to gas station before because it is very near my place. But since the gas prices went up, I just come here when it is really needed.

I've frequented this Shell consistently for 17yrs, at least 4 times per month. Not just fuel, propane swaps, and snack fills before heading to Disney. For the last few months, the station has been shut down for "15 minutes" while an employee takes a break. I've been sitting here, at the pump for over 20, waiting to pay the cash price. I've watched 20 people try the door and leave. It's always the same employee with the door locked. This same employee is always turning me away way I try to do propane exchanges, telling me that they've been sold out " for several days". I always check the tank cage prior to entry. I have to argue for several minutes that there are full tanks available before the cashier finally agrees to charge and exchange. it's now been 25 minutes that I'm waiting, door still locked, stupid sign still posted. 4-21-22 7:15pm-7:40pm, watch the cameras, watch how many people try the door and leave... door just unlocked.

This gas station is running a blatantly deceptive pricing scheme and I will absolutely never…read morereturn. The giant price sign on the street advertises one price for gas, but when you actually pull up to the pump the price suddenly jumps $0.30-$0.40 higher per gallon. That is not a small difference -- that's a deliberate bait-and-switch. Most people notice the street sign while driving and pull in expecting that price, only to find out the real cost once they're already at the pump. When I went inside to ask about it, instead of fixing the issue or even acknowledging the deception, there was just a cheap piece of paper taped inside with the "real" prices listed. So apparently the plan is to advertise one thing outside to lure customers in, then quietly reveal the actual inflated price once you're already there. That's not transparency -- it's a scam. This kind of shady practice completely destroys trust. Gas stations know exactly why those large street signs exist: to show the price customers will pay. If the pump price is different, the street sign should reflect that. Anything else is intentionally misleading. Between the false advertising, the ridiculous price difference, and the dismissive attitude when questioned, this place clearly does not care about honest business practices. There are plenty of other stations that don't try to trick their customers. Avoid this station unless you enjoy being misled and overcharged.

My Tesla needed a quick wash, and this location is close to my apartment…read more There are three types of wash (pretty affordable), and there are no issues with credit card payments. The car wash is not touchless, but I was not worried that it would damage Tesla's paint. There are no lines, and the service is quick. What more can you ask for?

Thee WORST customer service EVER!…read more First off, I only stopped at this raggedy gas station because I was almost out of gas and was unfamiliar with the area. Wack extra fee for using my ATM - but that was not the worst part. I paid, pumped, and happened to notice that there were 2 cars behind me waiting to pump gas. So being nice, I pumped quick and moved to a spot out of the way so they could pump. The spot I moved to was near their sign which was being changed by an EXTREMELY unpleasant looking and sounding man in an Arco shirt who proceeded to yell at me that I could not park there. I opened my window to explain to the man that I was not parking, but had stopped for a second to fix my money. He yelled at me that he could not hear me and didn't want to but "JUST MOVE YOUR CAR!" I got out and explained that he did not have to yell and that I did not intend to stay more than 2 minutes. He continued to yell at me. By the way, I did look around and there was no indication that I could not park there (curb was not red, no sign, and I was nowhere near him). So I got back in my car, shut my window, moved to a pump, parked and decided to write my review while sitting here at his pump - which was a very pleasant experience btw because there was no more yelling involved. I have been here a good 10 minutes now, and you would have thought he would be more upset at the loss of sales at this pump but I did not hear a single peep. Go figure... Needless to say, I was not a fan of Arco before, and definitely will NEVER spend another penny at this one...

My thought to write this had me wondering if people ever really wrote reviews on Service Stations,…read moreand the service I received left me knowing that I would. I have to first say that I don't live in the area of this Service Station and was only in the area with my kids taking them to lunch and a movie. I began my journey on 6/24/2011 going into this Service Station for a much needed fill up of petro. I was greeted by the attendant Bo who provided me with friendly and efficient service for my gas purchase. Bo also assisted me with directions for another place I was looking for on my journey. Much later in the afternoon after picking up my kids from a luncheon and a movie I needed to use the restroom facilities and decided to go back into the Service Station before heading home. As I approached the door to the service station I was greeted yet again by Bo and a new face, whom I have learned was the Mgr. Rashad. My second trip around is why I decided I had to write this review, to say Thank you! As Rashad opened the door to the station, he greeted me with a smile. There was a sign on the restroom door that indicated that it was out of service. I asked Rashad if I could use the facilities and he said absolutely....and that he would knock the wall down for me. Upon my departure, I purchased three soft drinks and Rashad assisted me with this. He was very complimentary and gave me the best smile. We ended our transaction with a friendly neighborly hug! I don't know about you, but I have never felt led to hug a manager of a Service Station. Not saying this doesn't happen, but this was a first for me. Upon walking to my car, I thought to myself.....I have never been in a Service Station and received such warmth and love. I live 20 minutes from this Service Station and from the service I received, I would actually go outta my way every time I need gas to visit this location. Thanks Rashad for adding such bliss to my day! Thanks for being the Neighborhood Service Station on the corner of Tampa and Nordhoff St. I also have to add....I really was in disbelief of the attentive treatment I received and mentioned this to Bo the attendant...His response summed it up in one sentence. "Yeah, we are the neighborhood station and everyone who comes through our doors is treated like our neighbor."

I told him no problem, thanked him for his time and left. I went back at 10:05 and as soon as I walked in the guy went on his brake and told me to come back in 45 minutes. Terrible costumer service. If you need propane-refill go to U-hall rental yard on Davinshire and Canoga. very nice people with great customer service. Better prices too.
