Shell - Gas Stations Near Me - Northridge, California

This is one of the worst car washes I've ever dealt with. After subscribing to their membership, it became almost impossible to get a wash: there is no real schedule, they open and close whenever they feel like it. On weekends they might be completely closed without any notice. The staff at the gas station is rude, unprofessional, and refuses to answer basic questions. It genuinely feels like customers are nothing but an inconvenience to them. Zero organization, zero responsibility, zero service. Stay far away from this place -- it's a waste of your time, money, and nerves. read more

This Shell car wash is a mixed bag. On the one hand, it's clean, efficient, and the staff are always nice and helpful without being pushy. On the other hand, every time I've run my car through here, my brakes start squeaking right after. Not sure what chemicals or drying process they're using, but something about it doesn't sit right with the hardware. If you're just looking for a quick, no-frills rinse to get the dust off and keep your car looking decent, it gets the job done. Just be ready for your car to sound like it's begging for help every time you hit the brakes for the next few days. weird... but it's always with this place. I don't know if its the water or just my cars lol read more

Wasted $10 on a car wash when the car wash was faulty! The mechanics were an absolute mess and didn't kick in properly. I can see now why there was no line! DO NOT get a car wash here! It was high key terrifying. read more

The car wash takes about 10 minutes per car. It's cash only, but they only tell you that once you've waited in line for 20 minutes, and they want you to hand over your credit card for them to run inside and charge it for you. Gas stations are rife with credit card theft, so no thanks. read more

Worst customer service! It's a self-service car wash, but during operating hours there is an attendant on duty. I saw an attendant as I drove up but he left, even though he saw me. I drove up and then realized my tires weren't perfectly aligned so as I was readjusting, the attendant starts angrily telling me I should have waited for him and acting like he was very annoyed. His attitude towards me only got worse and I told him I didn't want to go through after all since he was being so rude. I go inside with my receipt to request a refund, only yo be told "that attendant is always a problem and is rude to customers" Their solution, come back tomorrow when he isn't working. Nope read more

Worst customer service in carwash. The guy doesn't know how to operate with the machine. He doesn't speak English and he can't even direct clients. I paid for higher package of carwash and since he didn't know how to work with Machine he just washed the car with water no no soap or wax. Please do not trust the carwash of this gasstation. They didn't refund my money. Zero customer service. Will never return. read more

The car wash dryer barely dried the car. Spent 10 minutes drying it myself. When I spoke to the owner, I was told the dryer motor is not very strong. Great thanks. Trust me and others on Yelp and avoid this car wash at all cost. read more

I hate to kick someone while they are down, but... Needed gas and this Shell station was where we were. First pump we pulled up to was unable to accept credit card. No big deal... there are others. As I got out of the car I couldn't help but notice how dirty this place is. The concrete really needs a good pressure washing and someone should pick up at least some of the loose trash and debris. Trash all over the place. It was NASTY. The gas pumped fine but I had to step back because the pump emits a barrage of noise. Loud commercials that are really loud. Made the experience rather uncomfortable. The gas pumped fine and the car ran when started. I was happy to be leaving. read more

IMPORTANT!! If you care about your vehicle, I would think TWICE about using this Carwash location. EXPERIENCE: Worst ever OPERATOR: Corbin Shell Car Wash, Corbin Car Wash Express, APRO distribution LLC. EVENT: This carwash damaged my roof factory molding. It ripped it out. After completing the carwash, the attended found it on the floor inside the carwash and told me they are not responsible. To clarify if your property was damaged in the car wash, they are responsible. The front attendant is clueless and I had to go to the mini-mart to obtain a point of contact for their ownership. I called their ownership and left several messages. I was told he was going to be at the gas station/mini-mart on Monday morning. This was lie. On Monday, I spoke to the cashier/clerk to contact their owner as I was at the minimart per their staff's request and not waste my time. Within a few minutes, I was able to reach the ownership side, MR. POUJA. I spoke to Mr. POUJA on the phone after several attempts to reach him. While being inside his mini-mart, I explained to him what happened. He acknowledged the situation and took ownership of the event and provided a recommendation for moving forward with the small repair (ALL LIES). I tried calling him again to move forward with the repairs and he has not returned my calls, text messages, or voice messages. Do not trust this ownership. They appear to be crooks and not worthy of a business transaction. He acknowledged fault and he has not kept his agreement. IMPORTAN DETAIL- do not use the rear mechanic for their recommendations for body-repair, as they are limited simple minded mechanics and it would be a conflict of interest as they know the ownership. THINK TWICE, the carwash appears to be updated inside but its performance is rough and as my results have it, it damaged my roof trim on my vehicle. If you care about your car, THINK TWICE. MR. POUJA on the ownership side appears to say anything and does a bad representation of how an ownership/operator should function under SHELL. I have also contacted Shell Corporations as they also should hold their operators accountable to uphold quality and service on their franchisee establishment. read more

I come here almost every day to get my protein bar and a gallon of water before work the last few weeks when the older latina lady works she closes 30+ minutes early and I'm sick of it because I go out of convenience and closing 30 minutes earlier really isn't convenient. I understand we all have lives and we wanna get out of are jobs on time but if you can't do your job and close up on time maybe you shouldn't be working here all I know is if I see her I'm leaving I refuse to give her my money if she doesn't want to accept it during business hours read more

Shell - Front door - Gas Stations Near Me - Northridge, California

They sell you car washes and then say it's out of order and they can't refund you. I asked the worker for a refund or his supervisors number and he said his supervisor does not even answer him so he won't give me the number or a refund and says it's not his fault that they didn't put signs up saying it's out of order. That is stealing money. read more

First time here, won't be back. The guy let me go through with no soap, no water, no wash. Drove back about 30 minutes later bc I was sure I had just been ripped off. I Told him it was my first time there and asked if that was normal. He seemed irritated and told me to go through again. Then there was soap, water and an actual wash. He watched me go through the first time knowing nothing was happening. No integrity read more

Car wash is a joke paid for supreme no tire polish last rotating brushes dont work no rain x vaccums are weak the place is a mess

I have been coming to this gas station location for a long time now. Especially now that it's a Shell location, this and the Burbank and White Oak locations are the ones I frequent. I never thought I'd be leaving a negative review for a gas station. I mean you're in you're out. The way it should be. Today I had the worst experience I have ever had at any type of business, let alone ANY gas station. I pulled in punched in my rewards alt ID, and put in my debit card, locked my car and I usually never go inside, but I needed to use the restroom. Simple right? Wrong!!!! I went inside, the attendants that usually are there have told me where the key is, so I just grabbed it and the attendant that was there today, said "Hey!" I said "what?" He said "bathroom is for customers only." I told him "???? What? I am a customer! I'm getting gas for my car outside it's gonna be like $60+" to which he responded "sorry there's a sign outside." I said "yo are you serious?" He said "yes only for customers" I insulted his intelligence to say the least. Now, owner, whoever you are. I think I deserve an explanation for this type of treatment. I mean I was in house shoes and basketball shorts and a hoodie. Is the restroom only meant for customers who walk in with a suit and tie? Or someone who doesn't look Hispanic? I'm not sure if this was a racial bias for the attendant or what exactly was going through his head tonight. It just doesn't make any sense for him to not allow me to use the restroom. Granted, I live less than a quarter of a mile from here, and preferred to use my own restroom, but what's going on here? You can check the time stamps on your CCTV or cameras of whatever you have! I will attach a photo of my receipt and of the attendant and of the signs outside. Nowhere does it say that the restroom is for paying customers only, it merely states "No Public Restrooms" so maybe there should be a sign outside that says you must buy a Twinkie or a pack of DingDongs to use our restroom. But isn't spending 60 dollars on gas enough to allow the use of the lavatory I don't need your restroom, Shell, but come on don't try to insult my intelligence by telling me the restroom is for customers WHEN I AM A CUSTOMER!!!!! This attendant must be reprimanded and spoken to! This message should be brought up to his attention and I demand to know the deeper meaning of why he believed I was not worthy of this godly toilet. It can't be that it's for customers only, when I paid for gas even before coming in contact with this person. Like I said if it's a racially biased thing that's a whole other conversation we can have. Or if I need to wear a suit and tie for him to feel comfortable around me I will leave my job, wearing a suit and tie, and speak to him. Owner, I have seen you respond to comments before. I live in the area and I would love the opportunity to speak to you via in person, phone, or email. Thank you. read more

One thing that is totally unacceptable is that they charge the same thing for debit cards as they do for credit it is completely ridiculous they are trying very hard to Hawk to their Car Wash so they make that the cheapest way to get a discount on gas but I had a $0.20 discount because of my Ralph's card and this place is really confusing they have all kinds of things posted about the prices and it's kind of misleading I thought I was getting a discount from $3.69 but no that's only if you use cash or their shell card if you use debit or credit they charge you $3.77 which way does the decline in gas prices right now is a travesty maybe the people inside their little mini mart or nice I don't really know but I have to have gas to make a living and the rip-off prices here are disgusting read more

I had to update this review and re-rate them. I went today and found this place totally functioning and hitting on all cylinders. The price of gas was very competitive at $2.69, AND (the reason for going) the car wash was up and running WITH a guy there to make sure it worked properly. It was only $10 bucks and the car looks great. In addition, both the guy operating the car wash , and the lady inside (She had a wrap on her head and her name started with an "L") were both very pleasant and professional. I'm definitely making this my place for gas and a quick car wash; well done . The drive-thru car wash is the main reason I would go here and then I would fill my tank while I'm at it. I've driven out of my way to go here, but it has NEVER WORKED. They should remove the words "Drive Thru Car Wash" from their list of services on Yelp and google so I can stop wasting my time. I'm sure I'm not the only person who has looked for a drive-thru car wash on Yelp or on google and found this is the ONLY listing for THIS side of the SFV. read more

Shell - Post car wash - Gas Stations Near Me - Northridge, California

By far my worst experience here as a long time customer! Came to use the car wash and once done, went to vacuum the car. The attendant docents to come by and wipe my car down. Once I seen the streaks, I asked him to stop. The micro cloth he had was wet and had residue on it which made my car worse! I asked to have my car ran through again and he said I would have to repay -- when he was the guy who made my car dirty. The inside cashier wouldnt even provide a code for me. Will be reporting this issue up to corporate. Absolutely absurd! read more

This is a solid gas station. Each experience is different at any time of day. You'll have your employees that will try their best to help you out and you've got others who just do their job. The car wash is also solid; pay for the gas first and then go to the car wash to pay cheaper gas. Also the car wash prices isn't too much as it does enough for the exterior of your car. read more

OK, went to this Shell only because they have a car wash. Also needed gas so it made sense. WRONG!!!! The car wash "attendant" immediately started yelling orders at me and, in an extremely confrontational manner, to "keep it moving--customers only". "How am I supposed to wash my car?" I asked. This idiots answer: "I just work here." His combative attitude left me no choice but to get back in my car and move on. But before I left I asked to speak to a manager, and this guy actually said "I AM IN CHARGE-I CALL THE SHOTS HERE". No more business Shell, sorry but Paul is a complete asshole who is trying as hard as possible to drive all paying customers away. read more

I frequent this Shell at least twice per week. Service is great. They are really helpful with any questions you have. My tire had a slow leak a few months back. The attendant had no problem with coming to assist me. He really didn't have to offer. So that was a major plus. Gas prices are fair. My car loves V Power. It's a requirement anyway lol. I like this station. read more

We paid for a car wash at the drive-thru and then took cash to get the gas and did not receive the discount. The cashier argued with us stating that we had to come in there and buy the car wash in cash from him. Nowhere on their information does it say that. To me it sounds like a way for them to undercut how much they're actually taking in by taking it as cash and are screwing with the IRS. This place should be audited ASAP. Will not get gas here ever again read more

Most gas stations have very rude staff and they make sure you know that they hate their job.
