Finally, one of us said "you don't want to sell us anything, do you?" she made further rude comment, took off her apron and headed back to the cashier position. Even my road trip buddy came out of the men's room with a shocked look because he said the bathroom was so nasty. Now you know if a guy thought the men's room was unacceptable, it must've been really bad! If it wasn't an emergency, I probably would've just tried to hold it down the road a bit. But after a COVID-era road trip into the wilderness, it was the closest and quickest option. Perhaps I should've just gone in the woods. For real. There's an attached convenience store that's small, with a bunch of sketchy looking backpackers hanging around. I'd probably want to stop here with a buddy (if I had to stop here). Also note that if you are buying gas, keep on driving. There are much cheaper options a little later, and this Chevron jacks up their prices to rip off people who don't know better. Now you know, so you don't have to be that unsuspecting person.

The staff were so happy to answer our questions about operating a boat and about fishing the lake for trout. We rented a 14 foot aluminum boat with an outboard motor and a cover against the sun for a half day. They took the time and showed us what to do with operating the engine and it was easier than we thought. In fact, we were very comfortable in a short amount of time. We rented fishing equipment: a stocked up tackle box with two poles. Although we didn't catch anything, we had a great time fishing. The rumors are true that the winds kick up in the afternoon, so plan accordingly. We had so much fun, that we decided to come back again a couple days later. Try it. You'll love it.
