I used to come here all the time to get gas and the occasional car wash. Not anymore, I asked to get air after buying gas and the women said it doesn't work. So then I decided I would try and pay and it magically worked. I went back in and said it didn't work then the women who worked there said the button to turn it on doesn't work and I said ok so I have to pay twice now. This is against the law if you pay for gas the gas at station is suppose supply you with air for free. Owner of Shell please fix your button or actually allow your employees to turn it on for your customers. For now on I will be getting gas elsewhere. read more

Their car wash repeatedly malfunctions and the attendant has no recourse but to send me thru again after telling her the wash lost power before the dry cycle . TWICE!!! The lady is very rude !!! To whom it may concern, Your employee by the name of Heidi based on the receipts I have in hand. Was extremely rude, confrontational and in the end because of being proved wrong refused to further conduct business. The situation as you will see based on the interactions that should have been caught by the camera that sits over the counter. On September 29, 2022 between 19:18:00-19:27:xx. You will see that I remained courteous and respectful throughout the scenario. I clearly stated that I would like to check the balance on my Shell gift card, once we completed that. I requested,"May I get $13 on number 2 with rewards." She followed by saying number 3, 13. I interrupted and corrected her politely telling her no it was number 2. When the screen on the pos payment machine flashed past the fuel rewards screen, I stated that I had said with rewards. She got a bit frustrated, cancelled and inputted the information again this time correctly and I was able to use my fuel rewards and gift card. Throughout this time she was talking on the phone. When I finished fueling up and having used up my fuel card. I went back in to make another purchase of gas with my credit card for$40. I told her politely again which pump and pump number with fuel rewards. The rewards screen flashed past straight to the payment screen. At this point I stated that I had stated with rewards. She told me that it shows up after I make a payment. I told her politely that, that's not how it works. She said it is and that she works here and knows how it works. I said I use to work at Shell and know how the rewards system works. It always shows up first. She said I was wrong and I told her would you like to bet on it? She said yeah. She then said that it depended on what form of payment I was using, cash it shows up first, and credit debit it was different it does up after. She cancelled and re-inputted the sale and the fuel rewards showed up, i swiped my rewards card, then tapped my credit card. I told her I would be back as she was being argumentative. I stepped out filled up to $30 and came back in. To prove to her that she was wrong by next paying with my debit card. She then continually skipped the rewards screen so that I would scan my debit card twice with voided transactions because she refused to accept that she made a mistake and that she was wrong. Pride is a difficult thing to swallow back. And it was this employees pride, combined with her blatant disregard for customer service, and obvious distraction by the phone call she was on, that caused this situation to get out of hand and escalate. At this point she then refused to serve me and that I was not welcome here. I asked politely for the owners phone number to which she laughed at me and said there's no way I would give you that information or the manager. I then requested the managers number, she again refused and said the only number you can have is the one on the window. I asked her to please write it down as I didn't have a pen. She again refused and said I could call tomorrow morning, don't bother calling tonight because it'll just be me picking up and I'll just hang up. So I will be calling tomorrow. I have my receipts in hand and a photo of your store phone number address that was on the window as well as a photo of the employee which I will upload here. If anyone has to deal with this employee, do not take rudeness as customer service. Because, it is not. True customer service comes with a smile. This place has the most worst customer service. The try to explain to them that the car wash in front of me back up to my car wash and taken my wash but the lady at the desk responded that I had an attitude when in fact, the other party was giving her crap. I requested for a manager, but was told, I'm not important enough for them to contact a manager. They refused to rectify the issue and said if I want a wash, I have to pay again. Tap to pay didn't work at any of the fuel pumps, kept saying card was no accepted even though if used the same thing before. Went down the street to the mobil and my tap to pay worked just fine. This gas station is extremely unreliable. read more

Unbelievable! I put gas this morning here like I always do, I spent $55 And I paid with my debit card and I don't normally get a receipt just to save paper, well I go inside to ask if they can turn on the air for me and the lady right away oh! $2 and I said I just finish putting $55 dollars of gas and she asked for the receipt then she said give me 2 minutes I drive up to the air pump and waited like 5 minutes I have my baby in the car so I walked back to the lady and told her if she was gonna do me the favor of turning it on and I showed her my bank transaction and she grabbed my cell looking at it, I told her I have my baby in the car and she was really really rude saying in a bad tone of voice well I have to look at it because we are not allow to do that I just work here, so I told her I have never had an issue with getting air from here anyways this lady needs to change her attitude toward customers. read more

Quick synopsis!!! Strike ONE: Misleading pricing on carwash. Strike TWO: Vacuum doesn't work. Strike THREE: Air pump timer too short. Passing through, I ran low on gas. I filled my clunker up. While doing so, like all gas filling patrons, I waited and waited and waited some more. You start to read the promotional signs they have all spurned about. "With a 8 gallon fill up, your car wash normally $7 is now $6!" Why the heck not, since it badly needed a scrub. I got the wash, while not bad, for a couple of bucks more I recommend going to a full service car wash. They clean the inside and really wash the outside. However, that's not my gripe. I noticed the station charged me $7 still, the full price. I debated because it was only a dollar. At the end it was the principle, as no one likes to get short changed. I go inside and the gas attendant explained that's because there's two promotions going on. I thought to myself, "two promotions?" 1. Charged full price. 2. Dollar off only if you go inside and complain? It should be automatic, as the signs everywhere imply so. Whatever, I get my dollar back. Strike ONE! After the wash I go to the vacuum and air station. Tires are looking a little low and I got a wash, might as well go the whole nine yards. Gee, a dollar for each? A bit high, but ok. So I put in my dollar in the first machine and start to vacuum. Heeeeey, no dirt is being sucked up. I touched the nozzle and sure enough, barely enough vacuum. I looked at the hose and there was duct tape on more than few spots. I assume to cover the holes. I debated again whether to go back inside and get my dollar back. At the end, it was the principle. I go in and get my dollar. The gas attendant was clearly annoyed and unapologetic through the whole experience. But I don't blame her really, as she's probably not the owner and really doesn't care. I go to fill up on air cause my tires need it. Put my dollar in the machine. Filling, filling, and stop. Wha? I'm not even half way done yet. The timer on the air pump is short, way short. Came here to gas up and get a car wash before going home to San Diego. Gas seems to be going up again. I like Shell cause most of them have a drive thru car wash. My car was in dire need of a wash since I didn't get it cleaned after the rain. After getting gas, we went thru the car wash. No soap came out of the car wash only water. I paid $5.00 for a regular wash but no soap came out. What a rip off. At least it cleaned off the dirt from my car. I didn't notice any soap until my husband mentioned it. Oh well. Don't bother to fill your propane tanks here. Their "partner" is always on break. This happens no matter what time of day, or what day of the week. Staff is very rude... save your time and spend an extra couple of dollars and just do an exchange at 711 next door. Bad customer service. I really feel sorry for the owner for having such an employee that pushes customers away. So Sunday night May 14, at around 10 pm, my car gave me low tire pressure warning. I went to this gas station for a quick fix. Upon arrival, the air machine clearly has a label that says "$1.50". I inserted 6 quarters and the air machine fired up. I then proceeded to fill up air on my tires. However, every time I try to pump air into my tires, instead of pumping air in, the air nozzle was letting air out. I tried to adjust the contact at every angle, and the problem persists. I then tried my 2nd tire, and same issues. So I went to the store to see if I can get my $1.50 back, since the air machine was clearly having some issues. As I walk to the counter, the female employee was busy on her phone. She did not say hi, no eye contact, and her focus was on her phone. So I approached, said Hi, and explained the issue with the air machine only to be told to go back to the air machine and she will re-activate the machine for me. I explained again saying the machine is having some issues, it is not pumping air and instead releasing air from my tires as I tried to pump, and if I can get my money back. She cut me off before I finished and said it was only $1, instead of $1.50. I said there is a clear sign that says $1.50, and when I inserted $1 in quarters, the machine did not fire up, and it needed $1.50 to turn on. She then said, $1, take it or leave it. I said okay fine, please refund my $1. Then, she got mad and said, if I don't know how to use the machine, don't blame on the machine. I explained to her saying, it was not my first time using air machine, and I even brought my own pressure gauge to make sure the pressures on all 4 tires are accurate. To my surprise, she started to admit, the machine was having issues with the gauge, but everything else work fine. They have been calling and calling and no one came to do the repair. She made me feel like I was an idiot, so I explained again, clearly if the machine is not pumping air, it is defective. It is not sealing the nozzle well and keep hissing away, and letting air out. She should put a "out of service" sign so that customers would not try to use it. I felt hopeless with this individual and mentioned I did not want to argue, and I just wanted my $1 back. She then told me clearly, don't come back. I assured her I will never come back to this station any more. I really hope the owner will see this review. Employees are suppose to help solve problems and make sure customers are taken care of, up to reasonable levels. In this case, she argued with me over $1.50! Come on! And even asked me not to come back! Again, feel sorry for the owner. It was Sunday night at 10 pm, and if I didn't have to, I would not stop to get air. I don't believe anyone would go out at 10 pm, create issues and argue with a gas station clerk over $1.50. Such a waste of time. She has her wish granted. I will make sure never to go back, and I will certainly pass this along friends and families to take our businesses else where. read more

I'd give it a zero if that was possible. I'm a 12 year customer. Went to get gas and a car wash. A truck was ahead of me in the car wash line and another car was behind me. The truck entered a code and the wash started, then it stopped. He couldn't get it to start again so I entered my code to get him going. It started up so I went to tell the cashier I needed a new code. She said no, and told me to get $5 from the truck owner. How ridiculous! They just lost a loyal customer forever!!! Second time coming here for gas. Filled up twice because of the Ralphs 20 cent discount. First visit with same girl named Sabrena had a major attitude with just paying her for gas nothing special but I figured she just had a bad day which we all have sometimes so I gave her the benefit of the doubt. Two weeks later on a Saturday afternoon I was pumping gas and seen her walk from the car wash. As she came back I asked her if the car wash was working and she totally ignored me so I asked her again excuse is the car wash still working and she screams Yes with a major attitude . I couldn't believe how she said it . Not polite or courteous and definitely has a chip on her shoulder about something . I was going to get a car wash but was so turned off by that I decided not to after that. Judging by other complaints I can see I'm not the only one talking about this person. I asked her for the owner name and asked her for the number she said it was Victor and gave me the shell station number. If you guys ever want to feel like your bothering and want to be talked down to please go to this gas station if you like to be treated badly. Lol. I'm calling corporate shell and Ralphs about my experience. Don't think people should be working that I know have been complained about.
