Police told them to stick with beer, gas and cigarettes, I guess. They really seemed not to realize that they were breaking the law. They've been taking a lower profile since then. This convenience store // gas station used to be a Citgo (and two or three other brands before that.) Now has no sign whatsoever - not even a 'Speedy Mart' sign - except the gas-price posting. But the gas here is always $0.12/gal cheaper than its nearest competitor (a Mobil station a block away.) In their parking lot, they have used-clothing drop-off boxes for two different charities. I pay a bit extra here for the convenience for quickly getting milk, but not too bad a gouge. Heck, it's a convenience store. Guy behind the counter always seems happy to chat with me. Check it out. The parking lot feels like 5 o'clock traffic on 610, packed with the same people who apparently believe they're the only ones on the road. Unfortunately, that behavior continues once they get inside. Folks stop dead in the middle of aisles, park carts diagonally across entire lanes, and stare into the distance like they're solving international diplomacy instead of choosing between a 40-pack of granola bars and a barrel of cashews. Spatial awareness goes here to die. To be fair, the employees here are consistently polite, helpful, and somehow manage to maintain their sanity while directing human gridlock for eight hours straight. The store itself is also impressively clean, especially considering it regularly looks like the entire Gulf Coast showed up at once to buy mayonnaise by the gallon. And honestly, it's a fine store. If you're ever in desperate need of an 8-pound can of tuna, a case of Bavarian sauerkraut, or enough paper towels to survive a minor economic collapse, this is your paradise. The samples alone can replace lunch if you're patient and willing to circle the aisles like a vulture.

Best carwash in the Friendswood/League City area hands down!…read more Easy check in kiosks, very thorough wash cycle with different levels of cleaning depending on what you want, strong vacuums, air hoses, treated towels that are streak free, floor mat cleaning machine, free air refreshers for your car, etc all included. They do have affordable monthly unlimited car wash plans available, these basically pay for themselves as long as you get your car washed at least twice a month.
