It's a review for a Shell gas station! Well. I think at one point awhile back it was a Shell... then switched hands to a no-name brand (Sinclair, maybe?) and then now it's a Shell again! The switch happened a month ago according to the friendly clerk I asked inside. This Shell stood out because my usual go-to - the Shell off Brookhurst/Warner - was closed for maintenance. Shell app said this was the next nearest station. Cost-wise, I was a bit nervous, because it was nearly 60 cents/gallon less than other Shell stations in the area. I figured my picky car would let me know if it turned out to be subpar fuel. They have plenty of pumps here - well suited to serve the population since its so close to the 405 freeway. Convenience store has a lot of various sundries, drinks, snacks. Friendly clerks. There's also a car wash on-site. I'll report back if it turns out my car doesn't like the cheaper gas here. I know he's picky and will only be happy on Shell's 91 octane. He doesn't even like Costco gas. Hopeful that my usual Shell station opens up soon - in the meanwhile, this will be go-to. read more

Do not pump gas here they will steal your money. They don't understand English bad service

This was pretty bad. I went to get gas here with a friend and the credit card wasn't working on 3 of the pumps and it was not specified it wasn't. So just drove up to one pump after the other to find out. On top of that, when my friend went to get a quick car wash, the credit card wasn't working on there as well. read more

The rudest, most unhelpful Non English speaking man refuse to get propane when the weather doesn't suit him. He will not come out for 5 or 10 minutes. Only reason I come here is it's the cheapest propane in town otherwise I wouldn't come this way ever. I just discovered he left the door open to the propane and left it on shut off. He is just evil. Whoever owns or manages this station should fire this monster. read more

This shell location is pretty cool. It was pretty easy to get gas at this location. It does not take long at all. I hate when I go to gas station in the lines are superlong. Especially when I'm late for work it's super frustrating. Luckily I do not have this issue with the Shell gas station. Every time I go to get the gas the lines were never very long so I can get gas pretty quickly. The gas attendant that works inside the location is super nice as well. They always greet me with a smile. Every time I go in there they make me feel right at home. This gas location is centrally located right next to my house so it makes it super quick and super easy for me to get the gas that I need. Everything at this location is super good. I'm so glad I found it I'm so glad it's so close to my house. Every time I need to go to work and fill up with gas I just stop with this location. I can't say enough about the quality service that they provide at this location. Thank you so much for being so kind. We always truly appreciate it! read more

I won 25k on a scratcher here. I was going to reward and gift the employees there a few hundred each but I changed my mind because of an old grumpy pendejo there. It's the old Hispanic male that fills the propane there. He's a straight rude A-hole. I live in Fountain Valley and I use to pump gas and fill my propane gas here but no longer now. read more

As far as had stations go it's not bad. The receipts by were putting into the pump and I had to run inside. That defeats the point of paying at the pump. The pumps and car wash are the same as 5 years ago, but they maintain the brushes. Frankly it's a bit better than 3 stars up to that point. However! They have someone stationed outside the car wash drying the spots the blower misses and cleaning things like the mirrors and under the wipers. That's worth an extra star and I'm glad to see someone is improving customer service during California's never ending Covid restrictions. Don't forget to have a couple of bucks handy for the guy stuck standing in the hot sun waiting for you to pull out. read more

Disappointing. Came to fill up air for my tires, the end connection on the hose was broken and all that did was release even more air from my tires. I went in to let the clerk know about it ( I didn't want a refund), and after waiting a few minutes to be noticed after I walked in, she didn't really care nor was she apologetic at all. This had been my weekly go to gas station for more than 16 years for the carwash, gas, Air pump, vacuum, and store for snacks. Unfortunately it had gone to disrepair especially the last couple of months. 1/2 of the pumps do not work and for the ones that do, the card reader often does not. Also, the carwash is out of service 90% of the time and I have to go back in the store to have it corrected (not the staff's fault and they are always polite and helpful). Progressively gets worse with each visit. There are 24 pumps at this location and you can bet that 6-8 of them will be "out of order" on your visit (sometimes more)...and if it rains?...good luck. That's another 2-3 pumps that go down. I've even had the attendant working tell me that rain becomes an issue for them to keep the pumps working. The employees are great. Never any issue with them. I think ownership or management need to start putting money back into this place...and start at the pumps. They spent months and what looked like a ton of money to remodel the inside of the station but still totally neglect their pumps. read more

I am appalled that this station, still has a hold of $125.00 on my debit card since October 8th. The Manager so rude and condescending. This bottom feeder is holding my funds hostage! I spoke to my bank and they professed Shell put a hold on said funds until October 15th! In the interim they ALREADY HAVE BEEN PAID FOR THEIR GAS!! FEDERAL LAW PROHIBITS STATIONS NOT TO HOLD FUNDS ON DEBIT CARD NO LONGER THE ONE DAY!! In the meantime, I am unable to use my card for my Uber income. DONT GET FUEL HERE!!!!! If I could give them zero stars I would. I filled up last Friday and within an hour and a half I was broken down on the side of the freeway in a dangerous spot. Just left after buying some cigarettes and snacks, and the cashier Marcus really doesn't seem to care about his job. He STUNK of weed - I'm in no way against smoking it, but come on dude. He also had music BLASTING so loud I had to almost yell at him to tell him what I needed. When he chose the wrong product and I corrected him nicely, he rolled his eyes and muttered "f$&k this" under his breath. Called for Propane refill. They said only Wed-Sun. I went over there on Saturday morning. The gentleman who filled it did not speak english but was a nice guy. Cashier was nice also and they had the best price locally but mostly they were the closest location. Big station, plenty of room to get into and parking. Thank you. read more

You would think because of it's name this would be a good spot to get gas, but you'd be wrong to assume that. When I went here there were over 8 pumps marked as out of order, plus pump 10 which was not marked out of order, but clearly was. I wasn't able to choose the 87 octane I wanted and every time I pressed the button it just beeped but wouldn't select it. Since there was no way to call the attendant I had to run inside to cancel the transaction. When I told the station attendant about the pump being out of order, she canceled the transaction but she didn't do anything past that. So I am sure I won't be the last person who has this problem. When I went back to find a pump, that's when I noticed all of the out of order pumps. After reading some other reviews I remembered a few years ago my sister in law also had a problem with contaminated gas purchased from this location. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and I think I will be steering clear of here and stick to my regular spot. read more

I go this gas station for cash discount but been having problems with the lady and man that work here . They didn't wanna honor the cash discount by refusing to take my cash telling me use our debit cards or credit cards? What a scam !!! I knew nothing was wrong with my 10 dollar bill because it pull out Ralphs Huntington Beach and had receipt with me . The man was arguing with me by pumps only until I began to pump he decided that he didn't want 't give me discount. So he wanted me use my credit card which you get no discount ? The owner contacted me and showed that he cared for his customers. I think I just had the bad experience with a staff, not the owner. So it was not fair to rate the owner and the whole business. I normally do not go in and just buy gas outside. This is the only Shell in that area I can find to redeem my Ralphs points. Great gas station with TONS of pumps. I believe there are like 16. Even when it's packed, you get to pull up to pump pretty quickly cuz there are sooo many of em. Haha! The prices are somewhat lower than other competitors in the area and this station even offers discounts of a few cents per gallon when you pay by cash. This station is relatively new and the convenience shop is well-kept. There's also a car wash here. Be wary of the very long lines and waits during busy times like after-work or weekends. read more

I like to squeegie my windows and check my oil while I am filling up but you cant do that at Costco. You take more than three seconds too long at the Costco and you'll have some senior citizen up in your grille ready to beat you down with a 40 pack of tube socks. read more

Cheapest gas around! I often take side streets during part of my hellish commute, and when I do I always pass this gas station (at the corner of Brookhurst and Talbert). Even if I'm not yet running on fumes (which is usually when I decide to fill up), I'll usually stop to get gas here as I love to take advantage of the low prices. They even offer a cash discount--too bad I never (EVER, EVER) have cash on me. Others complain about how crowded this station gets, but I've never had to wait longer than a minute or two. Manuevering around on a busy day can seem like you're on a bumper car ride, however, so just drive carefully. read more

Today my total was $5.02 and when I was looking for change the attendant smiled and said, "Dont worry about it, no big deal!" I don't even live near here anymore and I still get off the 405 to get gas here if I can. 1) Gas is cheaper here than other nearby stations 2) They take credit card at the pump and don't charge a fee for it, unlike Arco 3) The lanes between pumps are WIDE! It's magical how easily you can maneuver out of here when you're done. 4) There are a lot of pumps. Combined with my point #3, this means this gas station is relatively low-stress to visit. read more

Well this station still has the cheapest gas that I saw today in my drive around Fountain Valley and Huntington Beach running errands. They now have a cash price and a credit price. The credit price was about $0.06 cheaper than the credit price...and the premium gas price this afternoon was $4.179. My only complaint is that they capped my purchase at $45.01. How about you post that and/or adjust the limit for a credit purchase to match up with today's gas prices.
