I decided to try it, even though my usual gas station of choice would be Shell. I like how they have new pumps which are entirely blue. It is a nice change from the usual red or black color you see at other gas stations. There are 12 pumps, so a lot of people can be accomodated. I was also impressed that their car wash was also open 24 hours. Few car washes in the city are open for this period of time, granted the temperatures are reasonable. What I was most impressed with was their drive-thru Tim Horton's...also open 24 hours! Sure you can go to the one across the street, but it's very convenient since you're already there. I realize this location will not stay 'new' forever, however there are a lot of convenient services located at one location, making it one of the best Esso's I have been to in the city.

Most Domo Stations are exactly the same. Small staff hut. Gas pumps. Outdoor merchandise. The differentiating factor is the staff. I stop at this one a lot, and the one on Gateway Blvd. Both have great staff that seem to stick around for a long time. I assume they have a good boss and good working conditions. They have always been cheery and pleasant. That keeps me coming back.

Yeah, you got me. I drive around Edmonton looking for sub-par cash washes with terrible water pressure and repeatedly drive through them in the hopes of getting continuous free lifetime washes (NOT). But alas - I'm foiled - as the station attendant tells me that it's "Shell's policy not to refund a car cash or provide another code." Luckily, I was passing by this location and noticed all the lights on. I drove up, noticed that all the pumps were still operations, and then quickly filled up my car with some much needed fuel for my late night driving. There is nothing really distinct about the appearance of the store located inside. It's the typical arrangement and item selection as most other gas stations. The fruit looks fresh, coffee seemed freshly brewed and none of the pastries were within expiration date. The cashier was very nice and pleasant, especially for 2 in the morning, and made small jokes about his experiences as a late night cashier. A refreshing experience especially when you have been driving by yourself for a while. There is also a car wash attachment to this station. I did not have a chance to use it, however it looks new and efficient, especially since this is a relatively new station. This is a 24 hour station, open 7 days a week, which makes it convenient for all of you late night drivers out there. There are a lot of stalls so a lot of cars can be accessing the pumps at once. Self-service, Pat-at-Pump, and PayPass are available at this location. Friendly and fast service? Fill me up please!

There is also lots of free parking for anyone who is waiting for a flight to arrive and a convenient car wash to polish up the car before picking up , which was added a few years ago. Gas used to be a few pennies cheaper than other gas stations ( sadly not anymore but it was a great way to bring people to go here instead ). Staff wise.. they used to be a lot friendlier than they are now. The other night I went in and not only did they not say the usual greeting but even at the till , the cashier rang up my purchase and never said anything. When I asked if he can toast my purchased sub, he pointed at the microwave and said " Use the microwave ". .. umm OK.. So in other words.. cant be bothered with serving the customer. Good thing I didnt buy a pizza and being told to put it in the microwave. This guy couldnt care less. The place is very clean though .. and yes I even checked the bathroom ( if its messy, you know how the staff treat the place ). But like I said.. it's a convenient location for a quick bite and fill up the tank with free parking .
