They even have a great supply of gloves to use to pump with. The attendant was alert and busy cleaning despite there not being many customers. Going to the gas station isn't one of my favorite things to do but this was such a good experience I'll make it a point to come back.

It does get incredibly busy in the afternoons, and sometimes there are going to be a pump or two out of service. I'd write that off to the fact that it such a high traffic gas station that things are going to wear and tear faster than most places. Regardless, every time I've been inside I've found relatively clean facilities and stocked shelves of the travel essentials and snacks. Clean floors, clean coffee counter, and someone's always behind the register. I've even got a donut a time or two here. It's not anything to write home about (definitely not my first choice for a donut, or second for that matter), but it's cheap and passable if you really need someone to keep you going. My station of choice is always going to be a QT (since the closest Sheetz is up in Troutman), but the University area only has the one near the Music Pavilion, so this Circle K is more than enough for when I'm around here. I can't speak on the Subway, but it's pretty slammed around lunchtime as well. Their sanitation store was in the high-90's if that helps you. Other than the mentions above, I've never felt unsafe when I stop here. I'm normally in and out in less than five minutes with my gas or drink from inside the store. It definitely does what it's supposed to deliver on as far as I'm concerned.

The time was about 7:30 on last Saturday night and I wanted to use some Harris Teeter fuel points before they expired. I put in "BP Gas station"to find one along my route headed home. The Maps GPS showed this one to be the closet nearest 485S. Cool! Upon pulling up, I thought about pulling off. The lights were alot dimmer than other gas stations(literally) and there were only like 4 pumps to choose from. I wouldn't recommend this station to a tourist or typical soccer mom traveling with the kids in tow. I was hesitant with my family in the car but shrug it off knowing we were protected if needed. The store was pretty chaotic inside as there was one cashier running the store with people buying lottery tickets, wanting gas and of course snacks. On the side of the store by the woods were alot of guys arguing and talking lot in the shadows of the night(dramatic lol) but I carried on as did many others. I wouldn't stop here again, unless maybe if I was by myself but definitely not with my family. I did get to use my points though and pay $1.95 instead of $2.39 per gallon.

The bathroom wasn't the cleanest but could be because customers are not holding the handle down long enough as two of the three toilets had toilet paper not flushed and TP on the floor. This Circle K was well stocked, large, spacious aisles, ample selection of snacks, drinks, etc to purchase. I didn't look at the menu but it appears even custom-ordered fresh food. Several available gas pumps, including diesel if you need it. Overall condition of the building and pump structure looked good, almost new. They were requiring masks to be worn inside and I did see a couple of guys come in with bandanas on, though no cowboy boots Regardless my bladder is relieved and our car is filled up. If we were hungry and didn't want to grab food from here, across the street were plenty of restaurants like Chipotle and Firehouse Subs and others, and easy jump back to I-85.

They all great you when you walk in and if 1 or 2 of them are working the counter. The other 2 are in the store sweeping, mopping, wiping, & just plain ol cleaning up something. They are trying to give the other gas station (it rhymes with Quick Tip) a run for their money. As far as the food and drink section. I try not to eat a bunch of gas station food for (should be) obvious reasons. But their pizza ohhhh laaawd have mercy. Is way better than the other gas station I mentioned above. They even have a beer and pizza deal. WHAT?!??! The parking lot is always clean, gas pumps seem to always work and most of all (my pet peeve) the pump seems to always have paper to print receipts.
