In the winter, during -25 to -30 temperatures, my apartment has been at 18 degrees - you tell me if you could work and be 'comfortable' at 18 degrees inside. I've had 2 people come and tell me that's a normal temperature and that "things will be ok". GlenF is completely useless and in order for any maintenance to be completed you have to keep calling and bothering him/the company in order for anything to be done. 1 star rating iS WAY too high.

Brookfield management in Calgary is brutal. If I would have known how awful they treat their…read moretenants and small business employee's I would never have bought or built  my business in one of their buildings.  From how their people talk to the tenants, to "new " rules and restrictions on signage, decoration, lighting and more.  No hot water for 3 years on one floor to poor air flow, where one day you are sweating and the next day you are freezing. Also forget the word negotiation when "negotiating" your lease. They are a large company and don't care about anyone in the building. They have Christmas decorations that they have been using from what looks like 1910, with tacky banners and orange/rusty brown bulbs. 5 year exterior renovations, which have now started again, blocking main floor signage. Also 3 years of inside renovations with white floors that already stain and look very unprofessional. Ohhh and don't forget the smell of sewage wafting in the air first thing  EVERY morning. It is very disheartening when you walk through other buildings in the downtown core and feel the vibrant energy, see dynamic displays and happy people in this rough economic time. Brookfield properties don't have that vibe at all.  I am sad for all the tenants under Brookfield management.
