The pitstop was full of bipedal beings (humans) and their animal counterparts (pets) so I figured that I might as well let my four legged daughter (puppy) out to explore their animal cage with grass (dog park) We had just had a 4 day rain storm that flew into town and caused a couple fatalities with flash floods. Needless to say I was surprised to see a LAKE (overflow reservoir) at the pitstop. My daughter wanted to go play in the water. Even though it was cold outside! She had a blast!! It was the first time she has ever seen a lake! It was great fun! Elation ran through us like a lightening bolt!

While hubby filled up the tank I went inside to use their facilities. It felt like a blast from the past. Old wooden signs, vinyls, tables and chairs for eating. The place had an old time feel in a disarrayed fashion. Outside the pumps were in good working order. No problems there. We filled up and resumed our drive.

We called them from 2 miles away and they told us to bring it in. With my husband there explaining, and our regular mechanic on the phone, they fixed the issue and got us safely on our way. With a 1 yr old baby and all of our stuff packed, I was worried about having to stay somewhere, not having access to our stuff, and so on, but they got us going again and I am forever thankful that they fit us in. They were are very nice and so accommodating!
