I went to get my car washed Saturday, Oct 1, 2016. After waiting in line for close to an hour, I got to the pay kiosk. There were posted warning notes surrounding the kiosk stating "all sales are final" and "no refunds." I assumed that some patrons may have been dissatisfied from a drive through car wash and had demanded rewashes or refunds for poorly washed vehicles. I have used these types of car washes for quick touch ups so I knew what I was getting and proceeded to pay for a wash. I pulled into the wash and waited and waited and waited. The wash never started. After about five minutes I pulled out of the wash because I did not want to delay the autos waiting behind me any longer. I parked and went to the cashier and was told that all sales are final--even when the machine malfunctions. The clerk said that it is working now, but I would not be given a refund. I told him that was not acceptable and demanded a refund. The clerk said he could not give me a refund and if he did it would go out of his pocket. I asked to speak to the manager and was informed he was not there and would return on Monday. The clerk also mentioned that the machine does not work on 10 out 100 washes. I returned Monday to get a refund and the female clerk told me that "all sales are final." I asked to speak to the manager and was told he was too busy to talk to me and that I could return or call the number posted on the outside of the window. I went out to get the number but the numbers after the 818 area code had been removed. I informed the clerk that the number is not posted and she looked at me as if I were an idiot and told me that it's there on a small yellow sticker. The sticker was located as far away from the big letters of the sign that contained name and address of the Shell station. What a racket! One out ten carwashes do not work, so the station is getting 10% extra revenue without performing the service. The clerks, although not belligerent, are indifferent. The manager? Well can't assess the person because I have not been able to talk to the person. Caveat emptor "Let the buyer beware" when it comes to using the services at this Shell station. read more

This is the worst gas station I have ever been to in my life. Please boycott them and do not give them your business. I AM BEGGING YOU. Their gas pumps are so slow that it took over 10 mins to pump 14 gallons of gas in my car. Not Kidding. Almost a gallon per minute at the pump I used. (I would have given up after the first gallon or two but I was getting a discount by using my Ralph's reward card.) I went in to the BO smelling indoor area to complain and the stinky, lazy, horrible, nasty, evil man/monster who worked behind the counter (it was 12-17-17 around 12:30 pm, if the owner is reading and is smart he should fire this losers ass) was arguing with a customer who wanted a refund for the carwash that didn't work. Another man was in there complaining about the same issue as me, the pump was literally pumping about a gallon every 40 seconds and he was filling up a large gas tank for his truck (He said he had been pumping for 20 mins, LOL) . The nasty, pathetic, angry, lazy man who worked there, just sat in his chair, behind the counter and was yelling at all of us at once. Telling us we were all wrong and crazy and wouldn't listen to anyone. He just keep yelling over us so none of us could be heard. He was a total crazy person. It was humiliating for him and whoever owns this cesspool of a station. It is off the 5 freeway so it gets a lot of cars and business I guess. I laughed when I finally left as I saw 2 signs saying "HELP WANTED"!!!! "Duh", I thought. They need a lot more than help, they should close their doors in shame or just board up this horrible excuse for a business. STOP USING THIS GAS STATION SO IT CLOSES OR THE OWNER IS FORCED TO SELL IT TO SOMEONE WHO DESERVES THE BUSINESS. I will never go there again. STOP USING THIS SHELL STATION. read more

Stole my money & cashier said, "I don't give a s#*! either." I waited for 45 minutes in line for a carwash and got the green light to pull into the wash after using my debit card to pay. The wash never started and I was already frustrated by the thought of waiting in another long queue to have it reset. As it turns out, the cashier wouldn't have restarted it for me anyway, it being "self-service." When I asked him for a refund he absolutely, unequivocally refused to reimburse me for the charge to my debit card. The story is as simple as that. I literally just left this gas station mortified. I encountered the rudest person today her name is Claribel. I got a full tank of gas and the most expensive car wash they have I'm sitting in the wash and it's not working it threw water on my car and it just didn't work I figured she can just go ahead and press the button give me another car wash. She says that there's no money back guarantee basically if you don't get a car wash because the car wash doesn't work you don't get your money back. This help that she supposedly is says there are signs everywhere and you have to live with it. I ask for the manager his name is Walter. She says she is not going to call him and to wait until Monday when he gets back in. DON'T EVER GO TO THIS GAS STATION ESPECIALLY FOR A CAR WASH! I paid $10.99 for a Car Wash and then the machine simply didn't work so I got NO CAR WASH. When I went inside to ask for either a car wash or my money back the two attendants there were EXTREMELY RUDE and ok get this said "All sales are final". All sales are final? I calmly explained this is NOT A SALE. A sale is giving money and receiving a service or product in return and that is NOT what happened here. I gave money and got nothing in return. I calmly explained that is not a sale but actually theft! Then they got very upset and mad saying they couldn't do anything, sorry and that I need to call management (Walter was one of the attendants and the girl behind the counter would not give me her name). I asked if they could call, they said no, I HAVE TO CALL, REALLY??? Then I asked for managements phone # and they said, get this "We are not allowed to give their phone # out." OK, now get this, I refused to leave stating this was very unfair and amounts to STEALING. They then threatened to call the police if I didn't leave! I asked them to please call the police so I can tell the police that they stole my money and THEN they refused to call the police! Yes, this is for real, this really happened. as far as customer service employees here are awesome. they always have a smile on their faces and are always in a good mood. sometimes when it's slow in the day and they have noting to do they come out and start chatting with you. very friendly especially the Hispanic woman she's so funny. really don't recommend car washes at has stations just cus they suck. they don't really have any food here. hot dogs or sandwiches for example. but have a really good kick food selection. gas station itself is pretty clean. they do have restrooms available to customers where you have the cashier for a key. the bathroom is located in the back and has a lock to it. keeps it from random people going in their and making a mess. the bathroom is pretty clean as far as price it's decent not like it's cheap or expensive. appropriate to surrounding gas station prices.. read more

If I could give zero stars here, I would, and it's completely because of the bad customer service I've received here on multiple occasions. Not sure of his name, but he's a Hispanic man with spiky black hair and glasses. I've witnessed him treating customers badly on more than 3 occasions, and almost every time I've gone there he gives me a difficult time when it comes to checking out. If I could give this place negative stars I absolutely would. The staff that this gas station has is very disappointing, and has little to anything close to professional skills. Manuel deliberately avoided my girlfriend after she tried to ask him why the car wash wasn't working. He clearly took out a complete headlight from the machine and then proceeded to avoid her by going around the wall. He stated he clearly saw the cameras that we went in wrong, but as soon as we decided the machine was not working we left the car wash. We were scared to open the door and have the car wash all of a sudden work on us. Manuel blamed us for going in too fast (which I surprisingly saw a lot of reviewers comment on how he told them the same thing) & he stated that if she machine was not working he could give us a refund. The machine worked perfectly well after he took out that WHOLE PIECE of the headlights housing. I got cheated out of 8 dollars from these crooks, and I hope nobody else does. Avoid the car wash!!!!!! It's a total rip off ! Like other reviewers I paid for a wash, pulled through and NOTHING HAPPENED! When I went inside to speak to the attendant Daniel almost accused and insinuated I wanted to score a free car wash and said he would refund me. His manager Andrea walks in and says I was at fault for setting their sensors off (I don't pull in far enough) therefore disabling the entire car wash and I would not be eligible for another wash or a refund. There is no sort of disclaimer stating this could even happen and if it did you could be out the car wash you paid for! Where has customer service gone?? Don't use their car wash , first of all the machine doesn't have change so if u happen to put large bills they don't refund u , they don't even give u another car wash pass for future use , 2nd there were times that car wash didn't work properly and it just rinse my car that's it and the fan started working the employee said that's your fault and they didn't refund me or offer a new wash . DO NOT GET GAS HERE. I swiped my card at the gas pump and then decided to pay cash so went inside and paid cash. I then pumped my gas and it went 1.55 over the amount i paid so I went back inside and told the merchant and he said it was okay... so i left thinking nothing of it. Well, then i realized they charged my card the amount completely without regards of me paying cash. I had to call the bank, so we then had to call the gas station and the lady was completely clueless and kept asking the same question... I'm surprised Manuel, an employee at this particular Shell hasn't been fired yet. When a relative of mine when to fill up gas on a weekday, she had a mental lapse and could not recall where she was and what she was doing. She proceeded to give the man cash and asked for gas. Instead of helping her through this situation and allowing her to fill up her tank, understanding that something was not right in this situation, this man began to scold her. He began yelling at her for wasting his time and not being able to collect her words to describe what she needed. He proceeded to say he was tired and wanted her to get out of the store with an angry, forceful tone. I am thankful that my relative didn't have a stroke at that moment or else Manuel might have physically thrown her out of the store front.This man should not be representing Shell Oil, and I am shocked that after reading numerous reviews of his terrible service and lack of character he still has a job. No stars. At all. But I have to leave one in order to post. Emmanuel was horrible. After I tried to go through the car wash, after paying, it didn't do anything. So I went to talk to him and he didn't even try to help me. In fact, he called me a liar when I told him I'd seen other attendants at least go out and try to fix it. Then when I called him out for calling me a liar, he actually called the cops! I've been going there to wash my car ever since I moved here, but I will never go there again. I even called shell customer service on the guy. Bottom line is I'm out $9 and my car is still dirty. Don't waste your time or money here. Then I waited for it to tell me to pull up, and I did--then the lights went off and nothing happened. I went inside to the cashier and told her what happened and she said the only way she would give me a refund is with a receipt. This is primarily directed at the drive-thru car wash they are running at this place. If you don't drive in and stop and follow the directions exactly, it won't work and you'll be out your money. You would think any half-brained idiot could follow the directions but it's not as simple as you might think. It's true that the "attendants" inside of the mini-store are indifferent at best and rude at worst. I have seen a few people lose their money because they didn't follow the drive-thru car wash instructions to a tee and the attendants tell them too bad. But my MAIN problem with the car wash is that it damaged the roof of my car horribly...literally took the paint right off of it and left that horrible faded look that you see on people's cars. For this reason alone I WOULD NOT drive my car through that wash if I were you unless you want the paint eaten off of your car. read more

I went here for a car wash and gas. I paid for the car wash inside I put the car wash code in the keypad and it didn't work. I went back inside and spoke to the cashier named Daniel he asked me if I wanted a refund I said no I need the car wash. He told me that if the car wash didn't work again that I would no long receive a refund. So I got a new code and the green light told me to go in and I rolled onto the sensors and it told me to back up so I did and it didn't work I went back inside and Daniel told me that I drove in to fast that's why it didn't he said it was my fault and that I couldn't get a refund so basically they took my money and no car wash. I will never go back to this Station. I went to the car wash last night. The guy ahead of me did his car wash, the dryer went on & I paid then the voice went on saying please drive forward. At that moment the car ahead of me put his car in reverse and backed up and then pulled forward and got another car wash and then it shut off when he was done. He basically took my car wash. The couple behind me said they couldn't believe he did that or that anyone COULD do that. I went inside and the gal working said I was just screwed because I should wait till he drives out completely. She was not very cordial and sarcastic. I said "I won't be coming back here" and she said "O.K." There should be signs that other drivers can do that. I know they say wait till the other car is done with wash, which is what I did. But I thought it was for safety reasons and because if a car drives in and you're in the dryer you get splashed with water because that has happened to me. So in the end if you get screwed by a thief ahead of you who knows how to do it, the station gets your $ anyway and if you pay again the station gets paid again. Nice set up for them~! I also had no idea the car wash didn't detect if a car was driving forward or backing up when green light goes on for them to pull forward to dryer. I went to a different drive thru car wash in Glendale and it has a line across the pay machine so no one pays until the car in wash actually pulls forward and in dryer. So I got screwed by the guy in the older model white BMW ahead of me who obviously has that car wash figured out and I got treated rudely by the station teller. Never again will I go back. read more
