The have all the basic snacks (chips, cookies, etc.) They stock some local beers and, of course, Golden Flake chips. The people behind the counter are always very kind and the parking is never empty, but always has a spot. I'm sure that this location gets a lot of late-night traffic from people at the bars in Lakeview, something to keep in mind if you're seeking a quiet experience on a Friday night!

Now , the location is sort of in a busy intersection making it somewhat of a challenge to get in and out of. Plus side , there are traffic lights to help make it less complicated. From what I've experienced- the pumps are clean and seem to never be out of service. Only complaint is that it can be a little congested from time to time. I have to say that the inside of this convenience store has a surprisingly adequate wine selection. Seems kind of unassuming but one may need to make an emergency wine stop and fill up your tank! Doesn't get anymore convenient than this! I don't know the price point of the wine but naturally the prices are likely elevated due to the "convenience" factor. Overall this location is nice and well stocked with snacks , goodies , wine- also, I appreciate the police presence that's typically onsite if I have to get gas at night. Safety first!!!!

Mac's is a gas station and convenience store with a grill, and they typically serve breakfast and lunch items. Inside Mac's, there are a couple of tables and a food counter in addition to the beverage coolers and shelves of packaged food and other convenience items. On the food counter, you'll find a hot box of breakfast or lunch sandwiches (depending on the time of day) and other assorted items such as ribs, corn dogs and onion rings. My co-workers had recommended the cheeseburger and onion rings, but I was on this crazy respecting-my-gallbladder kick last week, so I only got the cheeseburger "all the way." "All the way" for Mac's turned out to be a ring of white onion, mustard, mayo, a tomato slice, and a piece lettuce. They bagged my burger up, and I headed back to my office, which is one block over. By the time I got to my office, the burger had greased through the bag as well as the paper in which it was wrapped, which is always an indicator of fine dining yet to come. I'd love to be able to say that I savored the complementary flavors of the cheeseburger toppings as they graced my palate, but the truth is: I grabbed this burger with both hands and devoured it in short order. The juicy burger, grilled bun, and crisp toppings plus a bag of Doritos were the perfect laid-back lunch for a Friday. If you are in need of a quick meal while downtown for business or a trip to the hospital, I recommend the cheeseburger at Mac's 1 Stop.

They serve breakfast like various breakfast biscuits, grab and go options and cook to order breakfast. For lunch, they offer grilled burgers, hot dogs and chicken tenders cooked to order. Sides include French fries and onion rings with deli food like chicken salad is available. On every Wednesday, the chef offers a Southern cuisine menu that changes week by week. They serve the special from 11-2 or until they sell out. They provide the option to call in, stop by to prepay, or walk-in based on what's available after pre-orders. Today's soul food menu consisted of baked chicken over rice, collard greens, macaroni and cheese and cornbread for $14.99. The portions size was huge, enough to eat twice from the plate. The food was served in Styrofoam plates with dividers with individual wrapped utensils and salt & pepper packets. Condiments were available as well. Drink was not included, but since the location is inside a gas station, there was many options to choose from. The baked chicken was a chicken breast that was bigger than the size of my hand. The chicken was so moist and tender, which made it easier to chew. Gravy was poured on top of the seasoned, fluffy yellow rice and went perfect for the entire dish. The greens are full of flavor and pair so well with the semi-sweet cornbread square. The macaroni and cheese was not as moist and cheesy as I would like but I eat it and enjoyed. Overall, the place receives a 5/5 for me. I'll be back to try a grilled lunch item next! -DASC
