A week after returning home I get a letter from budget saying they charged my card $28.39 because I was missing 3 gallons of gas when I returned it. First off, I returned it with the exact same amount of gas that was in it when I picked it up, I documented the gas gauge. It is almost 2 miles to the airport from the nearest gas station, so I used 2 miles worth and they had to drive it at least 2 miles back to get to a gas station since there is no gas pump in the parking garage. It is bullshit, how do I know there was not 3 gallons missing when I picked it up, or that their employee did make a trip around a block or two before stopping at a gas station to check it. I can't believe this company is so petty and so willing to screw customers after renting an expensive van for a week! I have rented from many many places over the years both for pleasure and business and I have never had this type of experience from any company, EVER! And when I called about it the lady that answered was nothing short of plain rude. I will never use this company ever again. I would give ZERO if I could! They have some of the cheapest gas around Birmingham so if I'm in this area, I almost always fill up here. Last week, I wanted a drink so I decided to go inside. This gas station is huge! It's like a truck stop gas station with showers and everything. There was also a station with fried chicken and other hot food. In the drink section, you will find every drink you can ever imagine and more! I got a Snapple in the Mango Madness flavor. So good! Fruity, but not too sweet! It was perfect for me. There were several cashiers working the register. The one I got was super friendly and seemed happy to be working there! Might as well.
